    When you say it’s Jesus-level forgiveness and we aren’t there yet it’s probably because you haven’t had to forgive someone on that level. I have and it wasn’t because I was super-spiritual or a "good" person - it was the stark truth that my life would be a dark and bitter place unless I could really do it. I prayed "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do" over and over, a mantra, until - through grace - I came to a knowing of the Truth of those words and, with that Truth, a holy peace 🕊️. We CAN forgive the unforgivable and we will not be alone in our efforts; they will be met with grace and love.

    Very interesting conversation. I believe the events of the past do matter in as much as we can learn through introspection why we may have reacted in the manner that we did, felt the way we felt and then decide whether this is in service of our highest good going forward. True remembering then converts the ruminations from “ what they did TO me” to “what they did FOR me”. Only then can we become better rather than bitter…..a sign of forgiveness.

    You are describing ego-seeking (some illusion), which is craving something to fill the hole and ease the feelings of separation. We get something, but we confuse what we think is happiness with the cravings going away momentarily. The craving of not getting is fear.

      This might sound weird but I have developed a new phobia of lightening that has become bothersome. What's the craving there? Being alive in this body?

    If you really want to see something funny. Tell a stranger you Love them and watch the reaction 😊❤
    They are running to get away from you. You'd scare them less by threatening their life. Praise Love

    This third cycle within 4 years of ACIM C E text study have opened my eyes to the deepening assistance I receive when I focus on receiving assistance hourly. In addition to these podcasts, my own personal reading, studies and starting several ACIM communities, I've found deeper conteplation and practice paricularlly with Tina Spalding's mentorship.❤
    I've enjoyed entering into Acim retreats both online, livestream conferencing and even occasionally in person for a few days. While I desire even more retreats I realize such events are temporary.
    The guidance I've received from Jesus reveals one's daily experience in our dream allows us to awaken "my"self and our projected selves out of the dreamworld completly.
    Ultimately, the more I imagine the eternal me as We of Unity, the less "I" see self-deception's separation illusion, and merely another prodigal son journey. It ends, as every one caught in a dream of (fear's) false evidence appearing real 'sucks, lets go of egoic pleasure principle bound bodies, thus committing each moment by holy instant for the Love of God I Am!

    Hi guys,
    I hope this message doesn’t come across the wrong way… The course speaks of salvation, being the savior of the world, attaining the real world and bringing everyone with you etc. I see people who have studied the course for decades, ACIM teachers everywhere, some have been teachers for decades. David Hoffmeister‘s right hand girl Fran was a dedicated teacher, who spoke a lot about how illness doesn’t exist. She just recently died of cancer at a very young age. The question keeps coming up in my mind… Has anyone actually done it? Has anyone actualized the course? Or will the first person to do it quite literally reveal a new reality for all? It seems that the course has benefited many, myself included, so I’m not negative on it. I’m just trying to address this question that keeps coming up.
    Thank You

      @CircleOfAtonement  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Michael. Thanks for the question. Jesus did it of course. He actualized the message, transcended death, and, as a result, revealed a new reality for all. - Emily

    I think we have to remember that in ACIM is the WHOLE cosmic story ‘the past’ ! Because it was a dream that was over the moment the Son didn’t value it anymore…
    So even ‘tomorrow’ in this timeline belongs to the past … That’s because we have to recede to the mind ‘above the battle field’ to do TRUE forgiveness….
    The world’s forgiveness form is ‘forgiveness-to-destroy’ (the pamphlet) …
    But, even here, we can be more kind … see love or call for love … Let’s remember that ACIM speaks to the Mind, not personal psyches … 🙏😇♥️

    • @CircleOfAtonement
      @CircleOfAtonement  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Bente, Thanks for your comment. It’s true that we can be more loving and kind, however forgiveness-to-destroy doesn’t refer to forgiveness in general here. It refers to specific types of “forgiveness” that aren’t really forgiving, e.g. making yourself a martyr who appears to forgive while at the same time sending a message of blame to the other person for how hurt you are. The Course’s central teaching is forgiveness and it’s showing us how to do that here and now. We do not interpret the Course as speaking to the universal Mind. It’s speaking to each of us as a distinct consciousness. If you’re open to viewing the book as it is written, it becomes far more personal and practical. - Emily

    • @bentehove3945
      @bentehove3945 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you Emily… I am personally convinced, though, that as the body is not the Son of God (but the figure in the Son’s dream) the message of ACIM must be for the Mind (the dreamer of the dream ie. ) to awaken … And that happens via the mind training in ‘the decision maker’ … to choose either body or spirit (as we cannot both at the same time…) How can we otherwise do the connection when ACIM says ‘we’ were NEVER in a body …? 🤔🙏😇

    My mother and stepfather failed to correct my over bite and crooked teeth as a child.I got braces in my 30's This resulted in years of dental problems up until now. I'm in my 70's I tried over and over to forgive them ( they both had good jobs). But ever time I had to undergo yet another painful procedure, I found myself being angry again. I don't know how to handle this.

    • @ItsStoryTimeAgain
      @ItsStoryTimeAgain 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Anger is an understandable emotion in this situation, but how is that emotion serving you or others in your life? The miracle that Jesus teaches us in the course involves the type of radical shift in perspective that could help you transform your pain/hurt. If it is any consolation to you, others also fixate on wrongs to ourselves in the past, even ones that continue to affect us in the present. The good news is that Jesus showed us the way to release these perceived wrongdoings and the Holy Spirit offers us healing now.

    This request may be off the wall however i will ask anyway. Would you do a show concerning the OJ Simpson matter. From day one of the trial I was telling people we are not looking at this properly. I was concerned about the children and the families. Yes we need to talk about forgiveness, love, choices etc. How do you think this saga should be looked at from ACIM point of view?

    • @CircleOfAtonement
      @CircleOfAtonement  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      OJ as Son of God is innocent and nothing can mar that. OJ as human being, like everyone else, should be held accountable for crimes committed. That said, there’s a difference between punishment and rehabilitation. The goal is rehabilitation and that comes through love. That’s a whole other thread (restructuring of the prison system) but, to the point of your question, the main thing to keep in mind from a Course perspective is that both sides of what I wrote above are true: His nature as God’s Son is forever innocent in eternity, even if he is guilty in time. Hope that helps. - Emily

      Here you go:
      ²I must have decided wrongly, because I am not at peace. ³I made the decision myself, but I can also decide otherwise. ⁴I will to decide otherwise, because I want to be at peace. ⁵I do not feel guilty, because the Holy Spirit will undo all the consequences of my wrong decision if I will let Him. ⁶I will to let Him by allowing Him to decide for God for me.

    25:56 ??? This is what blows my mind…What’s REAL is what GOD created….and yet everything is an illusion so who created this illusion we’re all participating in? US/ ego mind? But If God created US than as An extension of God how could anything be an illusion?

    • @ItsStoryTimeAgain
      @ItsStoryTimeAgain 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Sonship/we have been given free will by God, correct? It’s an illusion of choice of course as we all will have to release our unloving thoughts at some point in the dream of time.
