    Thank so much! Our teacher went straight into the VSM without discussing the definition of times thoroughly. Probably our fault as well by not asking for clarification or it's just the way you explained it here that makes it easier to understand. Thanks again!!

    How can cycle time include lead & rework time? Cycle time would be pure processing time isnt it ?

    • @a2bthinking
      @a2bthinking  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, pure processing time is "Touch Time" (as the name says so - it's the amount of time a person is spending touching work). Cycle time is the time including everything. Imagine when you say that this is the end of a cycle, you are referring to all that is included in that period . Please watch the video. I believe it's very well explained.

      @@a2bthinking Thanks for responding,but by Lean concept and how top consulting firms calculate,they dont consider wait and rework in cycle time.Hence I had a doubt.CT,Wait and rework will be a part of Turn around time

      @@shirlse9514 I am sure you came across other naming conventions. In McK some guys were doing it the right way, some guys another way. So even the most important consulting company you will have variations between consultants. Feel free to name it as you wish as long as you calculate it right and customers understand what's behind.
