Russia is in no hurry to push the Ukrainians out of Kursk they are contained and dying, Ukraine has 30,000 troops and resource tied up in area of no tactical importance. Russia has already wiped out 55,000 of their best troops and equipment and they are stuck there being droned to death every day.

This makes sense. The Russian General Staff could've committed a huge force to push out the invaders quickly, but that would've led to heavy losses on both sides. This way, the Russian firepower pulverises the troops in the pocket while the Russian leadership rightly states it's been invaded and prompts patriotic Russians to sign-up to fight in larger numbers.

@cwpv2477 there was a bombing attributed by Russia to Ukraine which the Ukranians blame Russia in 2023.
Not entirely out of possibility as Russian bombs have landed on Russian cities here and there over time, some of which were leaked by Russian civilians, and bless their hearts.
      It's a contested claim.

Willy, using brigades for this type of war is stupid. Brigades worked in colonial-type wars or post-2000s insurgency type wars. Russia switched back to divisions, USA is switching back to divisions. You don't fight a war like this with brigades. It is one reason Ukraine can never conduct a real offensive, is that their organization is stuck in brigades.
Brigades are not 'their own little armies', that is literally what a corps is.

brigades are "hello madam goodbye madam " fine for hit and run operations , but struggling for sustained contact fight
can't help thinking there was some public relation glitter about them
this lead to the pilfering of any constituent units in the new 150 serie brigades , making a bad situation into a worst one
divisions are much more structured with their own logistic , staff , repair and pioneer units
the US used combat command for operation , made of units taken from mother divisions ,
then after some days , the units would go back to their division for refilling resupply and getting the mail from home

This has been accepted as a form of compensation for the officers, who allow a certain amount of the cash to trickle-down to his key troops.
This reorganization will only cause a temporary slow in the corruption

The difference between the Russian success in Kharkiv and the complete failure of Ukraine in Kursk is, that Russia only aimed on crossing the border and holding a small territory to divert Ukrianian troops, while Ukraine pushed way further, to reach the nuclear power plant to trade it. Ukraine didn't came even close to their target and should have pulled back their troops long ago, just to use the offensive for marketing and moral purposes, without losing more important assets. But they didn't and instead played directly into Russias hand, by createting an even more effective diversion of troops and assets than in Kharkiv.
No amount of justifications will distract from the epic failure the Kursk offensive is and Willy is plain wrong about long range strikes being related to it as well (the one started in Aug, the other was approved after Biden lost the elections in Nov). It only helped Russia to speed up the capture of Ukrainian territory and the stats of KM² since Aug prove that. Without Kursk, it would have taken Russia another year, to take as much territory or destroy as many assets as they did in the last 5 months.
And lets not forget the destruction of Ukraines energy infrastructure as a direct result of the Kursk offensive, instead of the no attack agreement that was planned. This offensive left Ukraine losing on all sides.

I think, UA actually just wanted the pumping station feeding the pipelines for the west. But now, that there is no flow anyway, that goal disappeared. They are just staying there because they legit have no idea how to get out without RU steam rolling over them. You need troops to secure an orderly retreat. They don't have that troops. And every time they stop and try to dig in, there's heavy explosive rain. So they also need to constantly move.

Office, in the sales department, everyone is fussing, moving furniture from place to place, in the middle of all this chaos stands a grandmother cleaner and mumbles that “she just wiped everything, and they trampled again”. Managers begin to arrange the furniture, measure its position of each chair and table on a ruler, compass, theodolite ... Grandma can't stand it and asks: “Guys, what are you doing?” One of the managers explains: “Yes, grandma, we've had a drop in turnover lately, but we're going to arrange the furniture according to feng shui - and everything will be great”. It was a surprise to everyone because it was such a ridiculous thing to do. I see no scenario in which this was a good idea. The initial success has had the negative result for Ukraine in that they now can't withdraw without losing face, which holds their best troops in place while the east front is forced back.

On Kursk: I don't think the Russians are pushing too hard in Kursk. Unless they can fully encircle the pocket, the Russians would rather keep all those units bogged down in Kursk, than have them retreating to and defending Ukraine proper. Kursk was a ridiculously stupid plan. For some reason the UAF thought it would be a great idea to take forces from an over-stretched thousand kilometer front to open a second thousand kilometer front in a completely pointless place.
The only reason you would ever intentionally extend the length of the front line to be contested is when you know you have enough forces to cover that extended line but the enemy doesn't. So basically, the Russian Army could not have screwed the Ukrainians over any worse than they screwed themselves over. The Ukrainian "leadership" essentially made it impossible to defend what is left of Ukraine.
Let me put it this way - if the "300" had not chosen to stand and fight in a natural chokepoint that limited the breadth of front line they had to cover, the Persians would have steamrollered over them so fast we'd never even know the "300" existed. In this war, the only side with enough forces to extend the length of front line without reducing their force concentration elsewhere, sat back and watched the UAF make a fatal mistake. As they say "never interrupt the enemy when he is making a mistake."
On Trump in the White House: Trump just started an extremely stupid trade war with one of the US' closest allies, and tanked the US economy by starting mass deportations of the people that actually do most of the basic labour. The way things are going, the US will be too busy fighting a civil war with itself to worry about Ukraine.
Trump is a narcissist. Ukraine is a lost war and nothing will change that. Trump does not want to take even ONE second of responsibility for the Ukraine fiasco. He's desperately trying to figure out how to make running away look tough. Once Trump finds a way to put all the blame on Biden and make running away seem like the best idea, he'll kick Ukraine to the curb quicker than his one-minute-stand with Stormy Daniels.
If you thought Biden pulled out of Afghanistan too quickly, you'll be shocked how quickly Trump dumps Ukraine. Overnight Ukraine will drop from the front page and become just the filler story before the sports segment. Ukraine? What about it? Did you hear Trump just blah, blah, blah... The messaging will change instantly. It will be "We've always been at war with Eastasia" as Orwell put it.
I am willing to bet that by the end of 2025, Ukraine will be "memory-holed" the same way Afghanistan and Iraq have been, and the same way Syria had been until the West needed a distraction from their disastrous failure in Ukraine. By the end of 2026 most of the Western public will have forgotten Ukraine ever existed. Hell, does anyone even talk about Georgia any more? Did you even think about it before I mentioned it? What about Libya? Do Westerners even know that they utterly destroyed that nation "to save it" and then walked away?
That's only the nations the West has "liberated" since 2000! In the last 25 years, the West has created or directly waged wars in nations with a combined population of 125 million people! 125 million people's lives turned upside-down, their nation crippled or completely collapsed, and tens of thousands - even millions - of friends, family and countrymen killed or maimed, all for the enrichment of the Western oligarchs.
Tell me Hans, are we the baddies?
There is a long history of the US simply walking away from the disastrous wars it started. Once it has got everything it is going to get from waging war on a nation (or tricking that nation into waging war against the US' enemies), the US simply packs up and goes home. If their victims aren't lucky, the US will leave enough hardware behind to fuel the resulting civil war for a generation or two.
The West likes to talk about how "evil" annexation is - Putin annexed Crimea! But consider this - when one nation annexes another nation, the conqueror takes on the national debt of the conquered AND the citizens of the conquered nation become citizens of the conquering nation - with all the same rights and privileges.
Of course the US will never annex another nation - the last thing they want is to give their victims the same rights and privileges as every other American citizen! Can you imagine the lawsuits in the US as the victims of US aggression begin suing their new government for compensation? Nor do they want to pay off another nation's debt. Hell, they don't even like paying off their own debt.
No, it will never happen. What the US does is what I am calling "Soft Annexation". That is where they wage the same kind of offensive war to capture and subjugate a nation, but then do not actually give those poor people citizenship. Instead they install a puppet government that does exactly what the US tells it to do, without the benefit of becoming a part of US territory. And if the people start getting uppity, well that puppet will quickly become every bit the "evil dictator" the US accuses Putin of being.
If you doubt this, ask the Iraqi people how Saddam Hussein came to power and who kept him propped up as he murdered hundreds of thousands or even millions of Iraqi people. Hint: It wasn't Russia.
Or consider Iraq in 2003... Does anyone think the US government ever even considered giving the Iraqi people the right to vote in US elections? Hell, the US government doesn't even like having Americans voting in their elections which is why they put so much effort into "voter suppression" schemes.
On Russian strategy: Why are you even asking the question "will Russia bypass..."? You've been in the military - only a dumbass would try to take a heavily defended town without first cutting off its supply lines, and only then if that town NEEDS to be taken rather than simply contained and left to die on its own. That has been Russian strategy since they last defeated Nazis in Ukraine. Why would they change a winning formula?
In fact, that was the exact strategy the US used in Iraq... twice. Seriously, dude... that's such a dumb question I'm shocked anyone with a military background would even ask it.
Oh Jesus... I just saw the part where you said there are "definitely positives" in the utterly moronic Kursk incursion! You cannot be serious. The only "positive" that came from Kursk is a small propaganda "victory" in the Western media. Neither the Ukrainians nor the Russians ever doubted that it was a stupid - suicidal - plan.
The only thing the "propaganda victory" did is bolster Western support for continuing this disastrous war. So really, it was a major loss for everyone involved. I'm willing to bet it was their NATO "advisers" that told the UAF to invade Kursk, because the only "participant" to really benefit from it was the NATO Military Industrial Complex. They're the ones making hundreds of billions of dollars from this stupid war.
The MIC love watching their customers' arms and equipment being destroyed, because they can't hear the screams of agony over the sound of cash registers ringing.
The destruction of a single Patriot battery doesn't really have much effect on the overall war - but the MIC gets to ask for another billion dollars to replace it. ONE THOUSAND MILLION dollars for a single weapon system that will have no appreciable effect on the outcome of the war.
That's the only kind of "positive" to be found in Kursk.

We did everything from squad level training all the way through to division level war games, In combat we did some Brigade level stuff but really very little almost all operations are tactically carried out at the battalion level or lower. I supposed that if you have massive battles like in Ukraine you might benefit from more Brigade level or Regiment level training, but honestly if they don't have the basics lightfighter skills, that takes months if not years to acquire I fail to see how it will change anything. Sure, you could get better support for these men, possibly, but I just can't think of too many times when they would actually use this concept in battle. Sure it would come in handy for a large offensive, but are large offensives smart even if you put together the support structure and can attack as a Division it would still be crushed due to lack of overall firepower. You can slice it up anyway you want, at it's basic level it's infantry supported by tanks, artillery and drones, either you have enough firepower to support the infantry or not, either the infantry is disciplined enough to stand and fight and smart enough to know when to retreat or they are not. If you aren't training your infantrymen for at least a year, you will not get the best out of them and if you don't have the firepower to support them it doesn't matter how you organize that firepower.

      I don't care about a quote.
      No reference was given.
Nothing came up in a search.
Frankly people quoting others here are generally misquoting all the time.
      I mean constantly.

The Kursk pocket is a prime example of a mistake that Napoleon warned against interrupting. After the initial shock, Russia quickly adjusted, and what Zelensky planned as a trap for the Russians is now a box for the Ukrainians, one that Russia is more than happy to keep them in. Zelensky has said that they plan to stay in Kursk for the long term, Russia is perfectly happy to make that permanent, in a "corpse don't leave" kind of way.

It is interesting how many people understand that with the full supply of Ukraine from NATO warehouses, the words "war to the last Ukrainian" have a completely literal meaning. Perhaps this is what is meant by "destroy Ukraine." I doubt that Ukraine will be able to function if it loses most of its population. Especially without a war, when the EU and the US will stop financing all expenses of Ukraine.

Just questioning your words credibility ( maybe misinformation / propaganda ? ) during the introductions to Ukraine's map . It's all about the purple colored parts on your map . We all know what happened in Crimea , the Russian troops entered , than civic / plebiscite vote , people wanted to be part of Russia , so that's were we are now . But parts of Luhansk and Donetsk were NOT occupied by the (as you claimed ) Russian troops , but by Ukrainians with Russian ethnicity who were against the change of government through the Maidan coup d'etat ! That was the start of Ukraine civil war and the UNPROVOKED bombardments and killings of the citizen of Donetsk !

Good video that gets to the heart of the matter. At the end of the day its about the money, meaning the natural resources. "The handful of people" (so-called leaders) abduct people off of the streets and order hundreds of thousands to die for the economic interests of "the handful of people". Nobody in their right mind would fight for those people's economic interests. So its no wonder that the desertion rate is so high.... Peace and mutually beneficial trade is the right way. Time for the principals to make a deal and end this insanity once and for all.

Hard rock lithium mines are closing down around the world due to the price to mine. The only mines making money are those with large salars, ie lakes, sometimes underground, with lots of minerals dissolved in it. This is either filtered or evaporated. These mines are in South America and China so would not worry about the lithium in Ukraine being a valuable resource.

next level copium....of couse the EU counted on using the lithium in Ukraine. China is not giving it away cheaply, the lithium in Afghanistan is not really accessible...the one in Congo might be gone soon (civil war, unrest). Hell, the EU is now trying to coerce Serbia to give them access to their lithium, located in a natural reserve area. Now you know why the "students" in Serbia started protesting exactly at this time. The EU is desperate. The US, not so but greedy.

@ First of all where did I say its not strategically important? Making that bit up in your tiny brain. Secondly the US will get its lithium from the salars of Argentina and Chile plus its own country. I know all this as I invest in lithium miners. Do some research before replying to stop you looking stupid.

Problem about excepting aid for future value will become the same problem the African nations have outside NGO and companies strip mining resources to pay back loans / interest because your so in debt you cant mine them yourself getting only scraps for corruption to maintain the system . Reforming the military in war transferring from a mostly manoeuvre system to defensive attrition with specialist groups means you need grunts because you will burn them during the change also you have to be realistic and honest with numbers .

A couple of things I wanted to say:
    1. North Korean soldiers leaving the front lines: as you've shown, the amount soldiers is vastly overstated by the media. But, if they're indeed leaving, it may be for other reasons rather than big losses (e.g. perhaps it's part of the negotiations with the US?)
    2. You haven't mentioned this in a couple of videos, but it's important to bring up: Poland "absorbing" part of Ukraine to bring it under the EU/NATO umbrella should not be seen as a "win" for Ukraine. Do you really think, if it happened, that they'd just leave this new region as autonomous? Do you really think they'd just let Elenky (misspelled on purpose cause of filters) remain as the leader of that region?
Do you know how many Polish politicians run under the promise of bringing back Lviv and other regions? Half the electorate in the country wants those regions to be Polish again, not an "autonomous region".
How is Ukraine disappearing as a country by being absorbed by other countries a "win" for Ukraine?
Maybe it'd be a bit of a "loss" for Russia, but it absolutely would not be a win for Ukraine...
