I wasn't expecting her to actually use the huge fan that shows up behind her in the last few spellcards in PCB.
I know touhou expansion has yuyuko too but it was only TD yuyuko, though i believe touhou expansion tries to make the fights as close to the real ones as possible
i think that fans that are spun around is inspired by the fan game based on PCB, its called (Touhou Fantastic Danmaku Festival 2)
She uses them in the fighting games, like hisoutensoku
From the attack design, it seems like if eternity was a difficulty option in Touhou

I once took on Sekibanki from the Gensokyo Mod as Melee, the fight took over half an hour..., and no, I WISH I was kidding...

Hey imagine in master mode or ftw yuyuko have a chance to instakill you, would be funny as her ability manipulate death to any people or youkai.

Maybe after getting her to 25% HP, she starts to rapidly drain your HP until you either kill her or die.
the black projectiles being instakill would be an interesting mechanic

You may have already covered it, but Gensokyo Mod is also a thing; it adds a bunch of weapons and bosses, although it was last known updated Oct 13 2021 to my knowledge.
I think they knew that. It's actually teased at the end of the video (You can see a brief bit of Gensokyo Mod's boss fight against Sakuya).
Though, you got the date of last update wrong. The Gensokyo Mod's last major update (As in, featuring significant new content [in this case a boss]) was Feb 25 2022.
The actual last known update happened Mar 17 2022.

out of all the attack patterns ive seen on a "bullet hell" mod. This one is the closest thing to a touhou bullet hell design
gonna wish they add the sound and effect that also comes from touhou, also maybe make them have different pattern of attack when reaching hardmode just like how touhou have difficulty from normal to lunatic that gave them different bullet and spell cards
i feel like the boss functions very differently in terraria because the hitbox in touhou is a singular pixel which allows for the tight patterns, where as terraria has a much larger player hitbox
hey Ryuusei i really like this project where u look for underrated mods. I would like to recommend to you to look at the pinky mod once. It is a really great mod, with nice mechanics. Looking forward to it :D

I barely know anything about Touhou, but I do know it’s one insane bullet hell. It always looks so trippy, yet beautiful. And every time I try and follow along with the player, I lose focus and start having a seizure…
That's basically the design philosophy of the patterns. Beauty and Difficulty go hand in hand, especially with Yuyuko, which overwhelms you with beauty to lull you into the sweet embrace of her deathly touch.
Yuyuko is such a challenging boss. And I love challenges
After several years...
Someone has been added Touhou mod in Terraria. Its perfect as heck because some of the Terraria bosses are act likely Touhou characters, spreading hella BULLETS and kel you instant.
Have you checked out the gensokyo mod by any chance?

@@thisisaperson1536 nah bullet hell meant one hit kill, afterall Terraria has many survival gears against boss.
@@thisisaperson1536 In Touhou you typically have about 3 lives at once, but in terraria the boss despawns the first time you die, so it should kill you in 3 hits.
The shadow phase looks like yukari's spell from FDF 2 extra stage

Love the detail of her releasing the nebula boosters after each phase, mimicking the point and power boxes released by bosses when you clear a spell card
Wow this is amazing. In vanilla terraria I use the UFO Mount as a sort of faux “focus” mode so maybe this would make that even more useful
From all the stuff happening, the thing that caught my attention the most is that smooth Yuyuko fan animation.
I can imagine an idea of, what if the bullet hell of this Mod will take to the same level as the Touhou games itself, but you'll given at least 5 hit count before taking an actual damage to makes the fight to be possible to be beaten (because gravity is a bi-)
I've been looking of mods with the idea of mine, but with this mod it's acceptable for me to try. I've been itching for an actual good Touhou mods besides Gensokyo Mod
Honestly, with an infinite flight mount, difficulty buffs could probably be manageable...

i feel like the biggest issue is that the tight patterns from touhou don't work as well in terraria because of the hitbox differences

Damn i didn't expect the last phase being Touhou Fantastic Danmaku Festival 2 spell cards. Damn i loved that fan game. I have been masochistically playing lunatic mode on that game for months before XD maybe i should play that game again.

Gensokyo mod has a Sakuya fight but it's not anywhere near the level of polish as this one unfortunately (probably because Gensokyo doesn't do fancy visuals and focuses on the content)

The fact that this mod is named UUZ, which is how Yuyuko is pronounced in pinyin, tells me that she's gonna be the only boss in the mod.
for some reason when i spawn her 3-8 seconds after the game crashes and say:
-begin has been called before calling end after the last call to begin
