As a skinny 13 yr old white girl in the 80s - I will never forget as I was walking down East 14th in San Leandro CA - I started to be followed by a guy in his 30-40s on foot. He followed me about 5 blocks. I was panicking and didn’t know what to do. A black lady pulled over and said “that guy is following you. Do you need a ride?” She likely saved my life. ❤️

We live in the richest nation on earth, yet 1 out of 5 of our kids are hungry. Glad to see people help her. Nice touch to have her help that guy at the end. What goes around comes around.
I love how she hugs everyone. I swear the world would be so much more beautiful if we all just stayed children.
I was especially touched by the lady that went up to her to make sure she was okay. Everyone helped when she asked them but that lady was the only one that asked her.

I was walking around the block and I gave a homeless man $50 and a burger. His exact words were "This is the happiest I've ever been in a long time. Thank you" I almost broke down crying.

My gosh I instantly started crying when the scene went to her sitting against the wall with her head down, so many people keep walking with just a glance her way. My heart is broken even knowing that in this case it was an experiment.

This was both sad & wonderful. I had tears for the thought of a child going hungry and needing to ask for food. At the same time, had tears of happiness that people were willing to help feed her.
I am extremely happy to see that people helped her. That's amazing.

When I was a kid, I often had no food to eat. I felt stomach acid burning my stomach, and I kept crying because it hurts. Although a lot of food now, but I still can not forget the pain of the lack of food before.
雷震富 I totally understand your pain. I can't remember how many times I cry because there was no food. Now I can't eat many food's because I am allergy to some many it makes me sad. I still eat them even so sometimes they make me so sick. Many people don't realize how lucky they are they get to eat everyday.

@@lmaoded1550 I live with an average income and I try and give money to the homeless as much as I can but the truth is that there are just too many homeless and I don't have the money to give to every homeless, not many people do, and those who are rich most likely donate money to charities then just specific homeless on the street. Of course there are the greedy rich too.

My big sis and I were walking home from our friends house and we came across a homeless man and he ran to us begging for food while crying and I could see his rib bones just sticking out and I IMMEDIATLY ran to the nearest store and bought him a package of water bottles, a blanket, and a bunch of lunchables. Luckily my big sis had 100$ on her so we could buy all that! I felt a real good feeling from the Holy Ghost. After he ate and was full, we offered him to stay at our place until we had enough money to buy a small house for the poor guy and my parents have jobs that pay well.

it's not that nobody noticed her, i think a lot of people are afraid of stepping in when they don't know what's going on. as the mother of 4 kids, my initial thought would have been that maybe her family was right nearby and she was in time out or pouting about something. sad that nobody called out to ask 'hey, are you ok?' or 'where is your family?' or anything. i think when it comes to children a lot of people are worried about stepping on a parents toes, so when the woman finally approached her (you'll see she looks around for a family first before speaking to her) other people had their red flags confirmed that something maybe have been wrong after all. at the end of the day, it never hurts to simply ask a question.... though as i type this, times where i wanted to speak but didnt keep popping in to my head. bless all the courageous and compassionate hearts, i need to try a little harder myself to be unafraid of backlash when my intentions are good.
