I have watched several of your videos on the business side of art. I, too, am not interested in investing a lot of time feeding content to social media with little return. This video was very helpful and encourages me to give Skillshare a try. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you for your honesty and for sharing your opinions and experience with Skillshare. I teach art to primary school children, and so I have been pondering on whether to transfer my skills to online teaching as well. After watching your video I think I will now give it a try.
Thank you so so much for this video! 🥰 I just launched my 3rd class on Skillshare with the title: Take Your Social Proof Online to the Next Level. And it is SO cool how people organically find my program, and LOVE my course. 🥰 I'm so proud over teaching people how to easily do video testimonials with their customers, so they can get more clients from their social proof. Instead of just posting a written testimonial that no one believes in. Now I will go and make my class even better, I'm SO motivated to do more and get results like you! 🥳
Wow, thank you! And congrats on your results, it really is so much fun to log in every morning an see how many new students have found your classes. 😊 Wishing you the best with your futire classes as well!
You are awesome. Perfect for a beginner in skillshare. You have explained all the terms and explained what it is. Awesome. Thanks a lot. Keep rocking. God bless.
Something I have definitely considered but always worried about how to put a video together for that platfork as opposed to YT and the having to pay for an account....I'll continue to ponder lol. Like you, I also struggle to get an audience and not monetized on YT.... Thanks for your take on it....helps a lot...
You don't have to be a paid member to be a teacher. 😊 But yeah, it is a different platform than YT and it takes some extra time to create classes and to learn the platform. Totally worth it though!
Thank you for sharing these videos. I thinking found you on the Instagram for artist video. I think. Seeing this as a slowly growing TH-camr and also an artist I was thinking about skillshare and similar platforms or tutoring ways. So helpful and realistic!
Thanks for posting and being so clear and transparent with your experience. Really beautiful art work as well. I've been working on finishing and uploading a class to Skillshare for months and am finally getting motivated to finish it. Thank you!
Hello. I love your videos. I just found you a few days ago. Thank you for your wonderful content! I was wondering how you feel about skillshare now? Are you still teaching classes on there? I’m considering giving them a try. Thanks again.
This is a great video. I loved both of your classes on Skillshare, which I am obsessed with. I am studying to refine my recently acquired and lifelong dream of sketching and drawing . I enjoy listening from different people their thoughts process on volume, movement and light. I would love if you could address that in a class sometime as i enjoy your approach to sketching. Thanks for being an authentic voice in a sea of copycats xx
Oh, thank you so much. 😍 And thanks for the suggestion! I'm starting to plan my next Skillshare class and it might very well be another sketching-related one, since that's what I'm into at the moment too. 😊
Thank you for sharing! You've inspired me to start my own Skillshare! :D Question for you if I may; how many lessons does Skillshare allow you to upload? I read on their site that you can only upload a lesson once per week. But how many lessons are you allowed to post? I can't seem to find that answer. Also, are you able to group lessons into categories? I would like to create lessons on how to draw realistic people in graphite and colored pencil, but I'll need to create several lessons in order to do that. The graphite category alone I currently have planned out as 13 individual lessons.
how we can deal with the competetion. or just upload your course and all thing will be fine. and by the way thank you for your information in the video
I listened to your podcast with Kelsey and got motivated to teach there too! One question I have: Since they state I have to post one class per month, do I have to release the essential classes of the course all at once and then release the less important ones later, or should I post all my classes one at a month? Just subscribed, by the way!
This is very helpful Louise. Where do you get music for your skillshare classes? I've been scared to use music in my classes and I can't seem to find any relevant sources on how to do it.
Hey , I uploaded a class on skillsare and I have 12 students and 80 minutes of watch time but I haven't even received $1 yet. Can you tell me why this happened.
If one of my friend buys Skillshare subscription and watch all my classes , then will it be profitable for me ? I have more than 40 hrs of content. I know this is not the organic way as I am telling my friend to make sure to make all my classes. Will skillshare ban me for doing this ? What happen if my friend rewatch my class again ? Will it be suspicious to the Skillshare platform.
Technically, and legally, I believe you can. I would make some changes to it though. What works on Skillshare is very different from what works on TH-cam. And in order to do well on Skillshare, the content needs to be tailored specifically to the platform. But you could make different versions for both platforms, yes. 😊

Thank you! 🙏🏻 I use Epidemic Sound for both my TH-cam channel and my Skillshare classes. 😊
What video equipment do you recommend & video editing software?
There's actually a video coming this week where I show all the gear and software I use for my videos. 😊

Pl mam help to enroll as a skill share art teacher
Is it necessary to get premium referral to get paid?
Nope! 😊
@@LouiseStigell thank you so much for your reply
ilikeu😍
What do you think about the “Skillshare Teacher Fund”? It took a lot of cut from the earnings and it hurts 😂
The amount is not encouraging.... What if you had a platform that was paying you over $6k every month?
