Worked for so many years and recently decided to just live life outside the corporate world. The idleness is sometimes boring but I'm happy that I made the decision. I could just watch online and see other people do it ^_^ I hope you have a good and super successful year ahead!
Thank you for sharing your experience! Hope you are enjoying working in a more freelance/creative space so far (and yes agreed - nowadays you can watch anyone do their 9-5 job online!). Wishing you a successful and fulfilling year ahead too :)
After my graduated at college, i was still 18y.o and work at one of the big 4 as auditing for 2 year in Indonesia. I dont know why but this job give me stress and anxiety so much. Im unable sleep so well specially on peak season. And then i decided to resign and moved to big 10. Its still busy company but not like previous one. And already 2years now and i am on senior auditing position
Sorry to hear that Asep, your feelings are 100% valid. I have been in a similar situation for some previous roles that I worked in as well, so I can relate to that feeling of not being able to sleep from all the work anxiety/stress. Ultimately, the reputation of the Big4 isn't a priority, your health, happiness and wellbeing is. So I'm really glad that you've found a more suitable workplace, and congrats on being promoted so quickly! :)
Definitely working for a B4 company is the dream of many graduates, I recently quit after a year and a half, and I must say that at least in my experience the companies don't worry about the mental Health of their employees, but if we are talking about experience, I mean, another company will offer you more money and a better job just because youre coming from a big 4, so maybe the lack of sleep and stress and anxiety worth it for a better position in another company.
I agree that being a Big 4 graduate/consultant is often a highly sought-after position following university! My current experience is that my engagement teams are very expressive about ensuring that we set appropriate boundaries to maintain a healthy work life balance (however I appreciate that other consultants may have different experiences/opinions in this regard). Congrats on quitting your Big4 role (and apologies for the delay in my response), I wish you all the best in your future endeavours :)
Hi! I'm a highschool student that'll be graduating soon, do you have any degrees or unis you found helped in your recruitment process? And what do you think made you stand apart in such a competitive field? thanks!
Fun fact, Eureka hasn't been the tallest in Melbourne since Australia 108 - the one to its left topped out in 2020 :) It was the talest for the 14 years before that though!
Ma'am is your work stressfull and does your company has work/life balance for employees? Can you please tell that does your company hires Indian Graduates/Indian CA's or US CMA's?? Please 🙏reply
In my experience, the work may be more demanding during busy seasons and quieter during the rest of the year (depending on which department you work for, the workload may differ as well). Work-life balance is realistically achievable when you set boundaries with your team, and my teams are very supportive of their graduates having work-life balance (however this is just in my experience!). In respect of hiring international graduates, I'd recommend to check the country-specific Big4 hiring sites to determine whether you are able to apply. Hope this helps! :)
thanks for this video, what did you major in for undergrad? im a current undergrad in the US thats current life trajectory is likely heading towards B4 consulting
Hi! A lot of the grads come from different educational backgrounds. For example, I studied commerce and majored in marketing and management, however I've seen people from all walks of life join the Big 4. Best of luck going in to Big 4 consulting!
i worked for Accenture right out of school. Working for a big consulting firm is way overrated. That career was soul draining. It was a culture of vanity, popularity, and kissing up to the right people. It was endless hours of fancy presentations and consultant "lingo". Travel got old really quick. Career paths managed by "career counselors" and not your direct bosses didn't allow for the people who worked directly with you to have a more direct voice in your performance evaluations. Bench time was filled with useless work just to stay busy. Basically you were looking for a job...within a job. Kissing up and trying to know people to get on projects. Also the "laddering" system was tough too. Even if your team had 10 great peoplee....2 people had to be laddered out . Anyways...its better to stand out at a great smaller company....than get washed out as a little fish in a big company.
Hi Tuan! I'm so sorry that your experience was not what you expected it to be. Best wishes and I hope you are doing work that is more fulfilling/rewarding for you now :)
I am moving back from nsw to melbourne just because i miss the aesthetic hahahahahhaahaha and also am studying a business bachelor to get that corporate girly lifestyle
Hi :) Because of the world situation (i.e. COVID-19), we haven't really had the chance to travel yet! However I understand that there are opportunities to travel in the future. It also depends on which service line you work for. I hope this helps!
hi! very interesting video! Do you have a Linkedin account or Instagram to know more about the life in big 4? i want to work with sap and it´s very common in this type of company
Hi Daniel! I'm quite new to consulting so unfortunately this TH-cam channel is the extent of my Big 4 knowledge/resources. However my understanding is that you can develop your SAP technology skills and/or it may be possible to receive exposure to SAP. I'd recommend to apply for technology graduate positions (hopefully this will give you further insight as I don't work in tech consulting). :)

haha cool vlog
I just hate corporate business jargon. Its so pretentious when there are perfectly good words that already exist
The blinking is due to lack of sleep 😴 💀💀
AI better and cheaper consultant than graduates.
