As an American sailor who loaded many a weapon on the F4S, and worked in the US Naval Air Detachment in Souda Bay, I must say that I love this video and especially when it comes from the Greek military. I can still smell the souvlaki cooking in the streets of Chania. Efcharisto poly!
This is the best replication of a HAF Phantom I've seen so far!!! The weathering is superb and the scratch build cockpit parts look absolutely fasntastic. Congratulations! You earnt yourself a new follower! Cheers!
Thanks! These Hellenic Phantoms are quite weathered, I didn't like to go totally overboard, although it would be correct too. How you like the weathering to be is a matter of taste, nice to hear that you have the same as I 😁. There are a lot of good reference pictures of the upgraded parts, so it was quite easy to scratchbuild them. Wellcome to the channel🙂

A little-known fact is that the short-lived YIAF Yorkshire Independent Air Force used the A-UP version of the F4 in the 80s. The tight nature of that independent state saw the A-UP F4 single-crewed and often running with one engine shut down.
I forgot to put references to this video, it would have included Combat aircraft magazine, from which the most of the weathering ques were taken, but there are of course huge amount of pictures in internet..
Stunning result! The Greek camo is incredible, and your model looks on par with the real thing. Just a bit of critique in my honest opinion, the music for the video is too upbeat, and if the majority of viewers are like me, and play this when going to bed, a nice low-key beat would be perfect. But that's just me, so take the critique however you like, and there are your videos after all =]

Good question... I used one that put the pod to the correct height (sorry, I don't know the type and I don't know what would be the corret one they use.)
You can't weather Greek Phantoms too much or their F-16s either . Look at some of the pictures of their aircraft, they're some really dirty birds , much like F-14s
This beautiful plane looks dirty like it was abandoned somewhere in an aircraft junkyard :( I don't understand why you are messing around so much with these oil paints... You spoil the look of the whole model.
I'm sorry that you don't like my weathering. Greek Phantoms are very dirty. I understand that someone likes clean beautiful planes, but for me they are a bit boring unless they bring something else to the table.
@@TV-ez4md Of course, I like all your models. As I can see, you are very skilled and precise and sometimes you add some of your own details.I like that. Keep up the good work :) I just don't like this 'aging' of models. For me, these are models and not reduced versions of real planes.

This was a mix with my phone (S22 Ultra) and my Panasonic DMC-FZ300. I myself don't really like the phone image sharpening/focusing, But I dropped my camera and it broke. So in the meantime as it was in repair I used my phone. Thanks, it is nice to hear that you liked my video!

Beautiful Phantom, love the Greek shcmes. Though I would have not put to much dark flory wash. I would have weathered a bit lighter.
