Ubisoft trying to rewrite history is an act of racism of the highest level. Why they thought this was a good idea, none can say.
"Most" people who got really excited for this game was mostly black people, but this game was not supposed to be for them but for the people of Japan, hence it's an AC Japan theme, but it turned out to be so different and disappointing for them. They could use Hattori Hanzo that could use both Ninja and Samurai at once, don't even need an assassin partner to do the other job.

再現して展示してた甲冑に関しても家紋が逆さま。これって国旗を逆さまにするのと同レベルで失礼に当たるからな。単なるデザインだと思ってるなら考えを改めた方が良い
噂を聞いて見に来ましたが、よくある日本像の勘違いと思っていた。

五七の桐紋は1585年に天皇から豊臣姓と共に秀吉に下賜されたので､それまでは皇室が使っていた家紋です。そして今は日本政府の紋として使われています。
こういった紋を軽々しく使うということは日本という国や日本人を軽視してもOKと思っている、つまり蔑視しているということですよ。

結論から言いますと、弥助は実在していたと思いますが、侍ではありませんでした。
日本の歴史の授業では、弥助は宣教師に奴隷として日本に連れてこられ、その黒い肌を面白がった信長が下級の家臣（信長の荷物を持つ係）として迎え入れることにしたと教えられます。
信長は珍しいものが大好きで、他人の頭蓋骨に金メッキを貼り付けた黄金の頭蓋骨や、西洋から伝わった地球儀などを手に入れては周囲に見せて自慢していました。
おそらく、弥助も信長のコレクションのひとつだった可能性が高いです。
現代の権力者が珍しい動物を飼うのと同じです。
また、弥助の絵が一枚だけ発見されましたが、彼はいかにも当時の西洋人の格好をしており、どう見ても侍ではありません。刀すら持っていませんでした。
弥助が戦で活躍したというなら、具体的にどの戦いでどう活躍したのか言ってみてください。言えませんよね？
だってどの文献にも弥助が戦ったなんて記述はありませんから。
トーマス・ロックリーの本を根拠にして弥助は侍だったという人がいますが、彼は日本の歴史家の間では何の根拠もなく弥助を英雄にしたてあげた大噓つきと馬鹿にされています。
歴史を捏造して黒人を日本史の英雄にすることをロックリー理論と言って馬鹿にしてる人もいます。

好意的な動画は見つからないでしょう。
信長が本能寺の変で亡くなり、弥助は明智光秀に無抵抗で降伏したことで、光秀に「この男は武士どころか人でもない、ただの獣だ」と馬鹿にして、弥助を生かしたままにしました。
もしも弥助が強くて戦で活躍していれば、生かしておいたら危ないと言って斬るか、部下に勧誘していたはずです。
そして何よりも弥助が侍ではない決定的な証拠は、彼には家名、つまり苗字が無いことです。
通常、戦で活躍した苗字のない身分の低い人は主君から褒美として苗字や領地を貰えますが、弥助にはどちらもありませんでした。
なので彼が戦で活躍したことは一度も無いと断言できます。
弥助は侍で、信長に信頼されていたと勘違いしてる可哀想な人には、「でも弥助は苗字が無いよね」と言いましょう。それだけで論破できるぐらい、苗字が無いことは決定的な証拠です。
最後に、私たち日本人は今作に関して怒っている人がたくさんいますが、それは弥助が日本が舞台のゲームで主人公だからではありません。
ゲーム開発者が日本のゲーム雑誌のインタビューで「弥助は実在した伝説の黒人侍」「歴史に忠実に作った」などと嘘をついて偏った思想を優先し、私たちの国の歴史を改竄しようとしてるからです。
実際、Wikipediaで編集合戦してますし、UBIに脳を染められた頭がかわいそうな人たちがいるでしょう。
ゲーム開発者が「弥助は本当は侍ではなくただの荷物持ちだったが、ゲームの中では侍という設定にした」と最初に言っていれば、何も問題はありませんでした。

The 葵の御紋(Aoi Crest) is a well-known trademark that is widely known nationwide and has high property value in itself, so permission is required for commercial use. In this spirit, usage that diminishes its value is prohibited.

If you check the internet, you can understand this crest has been used sub crest of Japanese Imperial Family and is used as a national emblem of Japan. This emblem is also used for the Japanese passport. Now, many reports have been made that UBI is using many images for commercial purposes without any permission in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
