I do not comment much, but do really look forward to your videos! I'm 51, been a makeup lover since birth, lol, and have learned so much from you! Thank you for sharing all your great tips and tricks!
I just created a new playlist called Take Years Off w/Elle. These are my go to videos that have upped my makeup application techniques game. Now they will be in one convenient place. Thank you!
Great video! I have hooded, deep-set ageing eyes, and I loved your tips about how to use shadow effectively. Also, I was so happy to hear someone with knowledge say that bronzer and contour isn't absolutely necessary for older women! I've always thought I looked better using blush like you did, but EVERYBODY on youtube makes bronzer seem essential. What a relief to find out I'm not crazy!
I’m loving the fact that you are sharing and showing that it’s possible to create a beautiful look from an affordable palette. Correction 4 beautiful looks!!! Would love for this to be a series!!!
I tried your technique from yesterday’s video this morning for work and it turned out great. I’m 42 and using your techniques has made such a difference for me.
Elle, Thank you, thank you, I am 58 and can't believe the difference bringing the eyeshadow above the brow bone. Great look. I can't wait til tomorrow!
I adore your videos. I never did much with makeup when I was younger. Now, that I'm older, I feel a bit awkward with it, especially eye makeup. Your tips/tricks are a god send. Just wish I found u sooner.💕
You rock Elle. I don't know how you find the time to bring us such detailed videos. Thank you so much for your time, we really appreciate all you do to help us look our best!
I'm really enjoying this series! For my mom's 73rd birthday, I am treating her to an at home spa day. I bought her and I a bunch of new skincare items and I'm planning on doing her makeup for her. I'm thinking one of these looks is going to be perfect!
I really liked this look today. The eyes, blush and lips really look nice on you. I am so glad you are only using one eyeshadow palette. Two great eye looks, but they are each very different, and with one palette. Looking forward to the next two tutorials.
💕 How in the world am I just now discovering your channel? I feel like saying, "Where have you been all my life?" Amazing tutorials. LOVE your style and looks! I have been going through your videos and can't wait to keep going through them. Thank you so much for all of the amazing tips and tricks! You are stunning and so talented! 💕
Awesome tips!!! I absolutely am loving this series for us more mature ladies lol!!! I must share my tightline trick... the angled eyeliner brush by Elf is amazing for easy "no squint/no tickle" liner application. I swear by the L'Oréal Infallible black eye liner pot--- goes on like a dream and Stays for Dayzzzzzz! It's a lifesaver for us girls who cry over puppies and romantic movies... Thanks again and 💋❣
Absolutely beautiful! As I've gotten older I've stopped using bronzer at all but I do a TINY bit of contour just in the very upper hollow of my cheek bones. I only pull it down a very small distance and I blend it well. It's interesting how we have to change our techniques as we mature. I've found that by just making a few small changes I can still love and rock my makeup! Great video Elle....thank you!
Woot woot. Tomorrow's look. The shiney sheen in the middle makes me so excited to try this as with my umm somehwat elderly eyelids, I've been shying away from shine Thank you Ms Elle.
Yes finally someone who has hooded, down turned, and deep set eyes like mine! I’ve been looking through ALL the hooded eye tutorials and your eyes look JUST like mine. YAS!! 👏So glad I found you 🙏
Whoop whoop!! Hooded eye tut!! 😍 love it!! What I love most is how she teaches us while going along! It's like being in beauty school but without the price!! 💜✌🏻
This is one of the best deep set, hooded eye looks I've seen on TH-cam. The best ones are from Wayne Goss, and this one is just as good. Goss is my makeup hero because he maps out placement in a very clear (for dummies) fashion wich I love. Stephanie Lange does good ones too, but she struggles to explain in a clear way. AdviceMyStyle generally sticks to looks that avoid contouring the crease which is a bummer, but he has a great blog with pictorials that are enlightening and awesome. Without all of you I just wouldn't buy eyeshadow at all because what in the world would I do with it if I can't apply it in a pretty way? Gosh I would have to recreate instagram looks and log all my moves until I hit on looks that worked XD
You are a great teacher ! Best explanation for deep set eyes I have heard. I have always struggled to find a good look 👀, for my deep set , older eyes.....thanks !
What a great series! You are such an amazing teacher and I wish I lived next door so you could do my makeup every day!!!! Thank you for working so hard to reach us how to feel more confident! You Rock!
Beautiful look! I'm excited to see the video using cream products. My skin is dry, and does not like powder products much at all. I definitely agree with the setting spray at the end. It helps my skin to tolerate the powder products a little more! Thank you for the video!
Looks beautiful. You have beautiful skin. Have taken many tips from your skin care vids. I must say loving how my skin looks. The peel pads and Cacay oil has really made a difference. Thank you.
Awesome video Elle!! My eyes are becoming less hooded by using just the tiniest amount of Retin-a on my lids. My sister is getting an eye job but after using Retin-a I probably won’t have to. I have several videos showing my results!💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝
I can't wait for the cool toned look! And I have to say , I absolutely love the community of commenters on your videos. Such positive comments, we all learn from you and share with each other! I never knew so many people had hooded eyes. I don't feel so alone anymore :)
Thanks Elle for such great tips! I too am going to try tilting my head backwards. I have hooded crepy eyelids and have hard time . Also wear glasses....beautiful look on a beautiful woman.
Hi Elle again such a pretty look! I have recently stopped using mascara on my bottom lashes and just using a little eye shadow. I think it does make the eyes look a little more youthful. I am looking forward to see the cooler portion of the palette as there are so many videos using the warm colours. Thanks once again and have a great day xxoo
Tried the tips from yesterday today and let me just say that they worked great also I did the matte highlight cause I have texture and wow so much better
These videos are the best! You are such a great teacher! Yesterday, i watched the video and used it this morning while getting ready! Will do the same with this video. Thanks!
Thank you Elle, I always struggle with my face looking thin and never have skipped bronzer but I will now I'm also pulling out shybeam if mine hasn't gone bad yet 💙
What a great look. Im getting really use to no mascara on the bottom lashes. That is something I will try. Im getting the hollows in my face so the 2 blushes might be good for me. Thank you for all your help. Love ya...
This is very informative video for beginners who have these kind of eyes. Thank you so much for sharing. Can you please note variations of eye makeup for these eyes please. Also how to select which eye shadow color will suit which skintone.
Girl! Love love looooove this look! I’m going to try it tomorrow, thank you for inspire me to go for it, put some make up on and look my best, even when I’m not feeling great, or life happens and there’s no time for yourself, I really appreciate you Elle! ❤️🙌🏼 besos 💋
My problem is that I have very little space from the socket to the brow. If I were to bring the transition color up just to or just past the socket it would pretty much be touching my eyebrow. What I find myself doing is using a lighter satin type color all over the lid with a soft ivory matte just under the brow. I then use a dark brown shadow as liner. Sometimes I will darken up the outer-V if I need more of a look. I don't know if my approach is the best. I have done it for years because it was and continues to be an easy quick look. I am 49 and also deal with crepey lids. Love your looks you create.
Do you have a video for brows and how to fill them in and shape them? I have sparse brows and fill them in daily but I don’t feel that I do it well. I love all your videos! You are so professional and give great instructions.
Love this look! I’ve never put my bronzer color eyeshadow on my lower while using in on my crease n bone! Lol. Then apply a lighter shadow on top of the mobile lid. You look absolutely gorgeous. I love these colors on you!!! And me ! Will be trying this tomorrow. Oh I did use your technique about highlighting under the brow today. I used the Mac prep n prime highlighter. Worked great!! Awesome tips girl. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. I have very deep set eyes so it's been hard for me to use any eye shadow. I only put it on my eye lid nut would like to try what your video is showing. Thank you so much.
This look is so pretty, but still really simple to achieve! I saved this video to use on my mom the next time I do get makeup! I also sent to her since she’s been into doing her makeup more lately.💗
I just turned 39 (gasp!) and I'm learning how to work with gravity and this new hooded eye shape that I have going on. I'm not mad at it, but it's definitely a learning curve. Thank you, Elle, for making this not so frustrating and difficult. ♡♡♡
@ellelearyartistry Thank you so much for this awesome series of videos. I liked yesterday's look but I LOVE today's look. I am definitely going to purchase the Katy Kat palette. I will be 49 next month and you just give me so much hope and encouragement that I truly can 'age gracefully'. (ps I guess I didn't win the Merle Norman stash. Dang! 😖) Please keep doing what you're doing. Hugs!
Soooo pretty! I’ve been using these looks as inspiration and trying my best to duplicate. Still in foundation limbo, but using a setting spray has been life-changing for this aging, oily skin of mine! I can actually still see my makeup at the end of the day. And, the lighting at work is horrible, so I need all the help I can get!!! xoxo -gretchen 💋
I am enjoying this so much. Your tutorials are so helpful. I tried this look today, watching your video, step by step, and it came out...ok. But I am 60 with very pronounced (heriditary) dark circles and I improvised with the closest products I could find in my collection. I’m wondering if you have any tips for eye looks for glasses wearers? By the way, you’re so beautiful!!!!! That palette is hard to find!!!
This is so beautiful. Your eyes look gorgeous without the bottom lashline done. I can't pull it off. Thanks for the highlighting tips. I have a hard time w highlight bc I have sunspots under my eyes. I'm going to try these techniques.
Tory Scott I have sunspots that showed up recently in the same exact place and along my cheekbones! I feel like highlighter just highlights them instead of my cheekbones 😔
Elle Leary Artistry I can't seem to find a combo of corrector and foundation that will stay in place and not slide around under a liquid highlighter. Any recommendations? Thanks!
Well there are prob a lot of reasons. One is I like a drier formula like the ones from Sephora or Colorescience and then I like to take my BB and pat my foundation over it, no brush. Then spray your BB with a setting spray or set each layer. Check this out th-cam.com/video/jtRnkrn6fGs/w-d-xo.html

So happy that i found you on here ! Ty for all the tips and tricks for hooded eyes! ❤️🌹
The eye makeup is so pretty. Good Job!

LOOOVE it!!! This is a perfect look and I love how you explain everything! You truly have a gift!
I am also really into only using mascara on the top lashed lately. I have noticed that it makes my eyes look more open.
Gorgeous, Gorgeous look!!!!!

Hey Elle! You are rocking this series! I learn so much from you! Thx my friend!👍👍💙💙

You’re amazing! I’ve learned a lot about how to make my shadows work. I’ve got aging hooded and very small eyes.
This is very informative video for beginners who have these kind of eyes. Thank you so much for sharing. Can you please note variations of eye makeup for these eyes please. Also how to select which eye shadow color will suit which skintone.
I really appreciate these tips for hooded eye, Elle. How I wish I could come to your new salon in Colorado! ☺
Thanks again Elle! You are really giving us some GREAT makeup education!!!
Very nice look. The blush is amazing.
Beautiful, Elle!
Girl! Love love looooove this look! I’m going to try it tomorrow, thank you for inspire me to go for it, put some make up on and look my best, even when I’m not feeling great, or life happens and there’s no time for yourself, I really appreciate you Elle! ❤️🙌🏼 besos 💋

Thank you Elle. so good to see what i can do to improve the look of my heavily hooded eyes x

This was awesome!!! What took me so long to find this channel?!?
Love that lip!!! Beautiful with the gloss
Do you have a video for brows and how to fill them in and shape them? I have sparse brows and fill them in daily but I don’t feel that I do it well. I love all your videos! You are so professional and give great instructions.
yep I have two actually. I believe they are under my tips and tricks playlist xoxo
This is a really cool and helpful series, I will keep watching! Thanks.
High beam is the first highlighter I ever used way waaaay back! The OG highlighter.
Robbie Curbo amazing!!! So glad to hear xoox
Love this 😍😍😍😍😍thank you, you look beautiful, ❤️💞 so much I needed to know ❤️
I just turned 39 (gasp!) and I'm learning how to work with gravity and this new hooded eye shape that I have going on. I'm not mad at it, but it's definitely a learning curve. Thank you, Elle, for making this not so frustrating and difficult. ♡♡♡
Amelia Holt 🤣🤣😘🤣😘😘😘😘
I love those Milani Amore Liquid lip colors. They are half price at Ulta right now.
Another great video Elle👏🏻 Thank you☺️ xx
@ellelearyartistry Thank you so much for this awesome series of videos. I liked yesterday's look but I LOVE today's look. I am definitely going to purchase the Katy Kat palette. I will be 49 next month and you just give me so much hope and encouragement that I truly can 'age gracefully'. (ps I guess I didn't win the Merle Norman stash. Dang! 😖) Please keep doing what you're doing. Hugs!
Great tutorial Elle!!! xoxo. Cindi
😘😘😘😘
I am enjoying this so much. Your tutorials are so helpful. I tried this look today, watching your video, step by step, and it came out...ok. But I am 60 with very pronounced (heriditary) dark circles and I improvised with the closest products I could find in my collection. I’m wondering if you have any tips for eye looks for glasses wearers? By the way, you’re so beautiful!!!!! That palette is hard to find!!!
yep coming up!
Eureka January it's such a bummer!
might want to try color correcting first before foundation so your highlight is more true to color xo
Love this series.
Love this series!! Gotta get the eyeshadow. And love the Milani gloss!❤️
Thank you so much Elle I love this tips and tricks video, and I can't wait to try these out. You're beautiful and I love ya! See you in the next one! xoxo
