What a great story, My family is from Oneida. My Grandfather never got it out of his system. He would talk about Scott county and Oneida all of the time. Stephens, Terry and Ross, Marcum and Chitwood are the family names.

I realize that the old pool hall (billiards) on Main St. was considered a den of iniquity by some, but I also know a few young boys that learned to handle a pool cue there. It was across from the theater in the 70s. And was in operation for at least a decade, if I remember right.
I remember Ben Franklins. I remember my dad going to Chicken Chesters. My parents were Clar Lawson and Irene Terry Lawson. Grandparents were Dilmon Lawson n Della Loyd Lawson. Culmn n Elsie Terry
