It's always funny to me when people call kpop artist westernized like that's a big insult. A lot of their music are influenced by the west, even the training system started from the west before they branches out. A lot of these groups takes the training system literally from American boy bands.

So what did they do when making the MV for a song abt loving themselves? No, the MV is completely the opposite of what you are saying. Obviously, those things are not just thrown in the MV out of nowhere, every detail in the video has its own meaning that is referenced from their culture, just created in a way to be chaotic to match the energy and the message of the song.
