My Homepark, Elitches, is not the park for someone who loves coasters. This park is a place to realize how you can enjoy the little things in life, and to make memories.
I’m a Colorado native and although Elitches isnt that great it’s all we have so it’s enjoyable. Btw when you went recently were a lot of rides closed bc I’m going on Monday
As a Coloradan myself, I totally agree with all of this. We might have a small park, but they use all of it very well. They have a lot of fun rides with some awesome experiences from when I have went.
I did the brain drain six times when i went on july 6th (there were like no lines anywhere it was great) i dont know why but that was my first day doing brain drain and i LOVED it almost more than sidewinder!
I did it twice about a month ago, and I saw someone’s phone drop at the very top. Also I had to throw up in the bathroom after but it was still probably my favorite ride.
I went yesterday and did the sidewinder 10 times mostly in the back row. So. Much. Airtime! Also i did the waterpark. i almost drowned on that colossal wedgie waterslide. I wasnt expecting there to be water splashing my face but alas there was. every time i began to try to take a breath more water splashed. I had to hold my breath for the whole 45 second slide. one time i tried to twist my head around to take a breath but the slide twisted and it slammed back down so i had a bad headache. The rest of the day was extremely fun tho!
I live in Colorado and elich gardens is not what you think its the best place and sometimes its bad for people because the rides are breaking down lately but they are trying theybest to make people have fun to pin this and like for others can see idk why but I was a bit sad when you said my favorite place in the world was bad and trash its ok you gived it a second chance
There is no way the original Elitchs was the worst. It was one of the best. It had an even more beautiful setting. They had one of the best roller coasters in The Wildcat. They did have the legendary gum trees but it was worth it considering how awesome the rides turn out to be. Unfortunately they didnt keep The Wildcat when they moved. The log ride in the old Elitch Gardens was also phenomenal. It also shall be missed. The ride went up a steep hill like a great roller coaster and then dropped you so fast, it's like there was nothing to hold you in your seat. And then when you hit the water, the splash was well over 30 feet high
I went to Elitch Gardens when it was downtown and the Original Mr Twister was there. We had the best time and the Vibe was very fun. I was with a big group of friends and we all loved it. The other "Pro" about Elitch Gardens was it's location so close to downtown and many spots to have fun
I like the old Elitch Gardens better. If you think that Elitch Gardens sucks, than you should try going to Frontier City in Oklahoma City than you will see how much better Elitch's is compared to Frontier City.
Dude, Do your homework next time! The Original Park was No Where near Lakewood. It was in North Denver on 38th & Tennyson Streets & moved less than 2.5 miles (as the crow flys) to its present location.
One of my two favorite rides are Hollywood and Vine and MindEraser 😫 Edit: MY NEW FAVORITE RIDES ARE BRAIN DRAIN, SIDE WINDER, MIND ERASER, &HOLLYWOOD AND VINE
Went yesterday and was one of the worst experience I’ve had at all with elicthes lmao 😂 waited two hours for twister 2 and a hour and 20 for braindrain didn’t bother to ride anymore bc they prob were like an hour wait. Upside was the water park was decent
I went on monday too. Luckily i went early and did twister II first thing so the line was about 10 min. Wouldnt it be funny if we saw each other there but didnt know it? Theres a good chance we did lol.
I believe this park has a lot of potential and should be a top summer attraction in the Rocky Mountains region. But they have invest money in the park such as RMC Twister, remove old coasters like Cedar Fair parks and build hyper coaster. Have seasonal events( Halloween and The holidays). It be a major success. It seems after Six Flags pull out it had a negative effect. Maybe they should try to market Six Flags again. Just my opinion.
I want to check it out because I’m a broncos fan i past through there once 23 years ago everything looked new then. I want to check out a game and elitch gardens before everything changes.
I think an edit you could do on that ranking video on Elitch gardens is adding a warning label just like the nathaniel bandy triggered series "warning! The follow video is over exaggerated. MOST opinions shared aren't accurate to my thoughts and feelings" or some other ideas for a viewer discretion to for that video
When you've been a Colorado native and see how its deteriorated from its great original location and even through it's revamp then it feels like it's been one long drop in quality for many many years. Being known as a poor performing park is justified for what you get. It will be a little sad when we don't have anything left after Elitches leaves.

Not too bad, but it’ll definitely vary by the day. The only major ride closed was half pipe, so I’ll take it

One time I got stuck on the Starflyer because it was too windy to be safe so they stopped it while 200 feet in the air 😂

I went to Elitch once in 2019. It's definetly my least favorite "big" park. Hope to give it another chance one day though
