To think an artist I liked in '88 would still not just be alive and performing... But 'Crushing It' blows my mind! To think I thought it would be all over by 30... Dying young and leaving a "Pretty Corpse" as Blondie so well stated it back in the day. SO Happy Happy Joy Joy- we are all still here!!!
oh yay the rest of it! i used to play My Wife in my solo acoustic sets & everybody thought i wrote it (but i told em the truth - you gotta tell the people the truth!) You know i never really liked LP version of Chinese Bones but it's nice with the Dylan style picking...Grateful Dead played that one time (i think with Suzanne Vega?) but as i recall it didnt really work out too well... Also this Funky Town is great, always liked that original when i was a kid (no Hitchcock reference intended). Some of those late period weird covers were kind of half-assed but this has a proper arrangement. thanx for the Robyn obsessive-super-fan enabling! i spent my whole music career ripping off him, Mark E Smith and Iggy Pop in equal measure and look where it got me...
Yeh after you were glorified and got laid for a decade you was like remember that song is used to do Dead Wife? I told you that was a cover right? Lol Pst…Im guilty of this as well lol
Can’t believe I’m just now listening to this delight! I’ve been seeing his charming Veggie Talesque illustration for what feels like a decade!
Wish this would be obtainable not only in Japan.

Thanks for this. It's like a time machine and alternate dimension voyage all at once.

" i spent my whole music career ripping off him" - I'm in the same boat!
You are not alone. I let people think I wrote it for a few minutes at least.

I'm excited to discover this entire lifestyle of players who get the ladies by claiming to write pre-Respect era Hitchcock songs.
