Always loved Best of Order - I remember being blown away the first time I heard it on the album. And I like the video - reminds me a bit of Sham gigs seeing Jay and Kielty in there too.
@Lauryn74K That is what I thought from the beginning. Lemar was the one they wanted to promote, even though out of the 4 finalists, he was the only one not to write his own songs. 7 Years 10 Weeks is still one of my favourite albums ever, even nearly 10 years down the line.
I agree with the comment posted below - and I've thought this over for a while(?) I believe its because the people running the show expected and wanted Lemar to promote after - that was the plan all along. So they had no interest in promoting David, but rather to NOT promote him so they could back Lemar after a few months had passed - as the 'real winner' . What a farce it all was, what did our votes really matter?
Carole, you know while there are seedy clubs in Glasgow, and I've been to some - it is also an incredible city for live gig venues and many are legendary - King Tuts, the Barrowlands, Oran Mor, Old Fruitmarket , more... vastly better than Edinburgh. But its also a kind of wild place.. I definitely thought about a dark club with lots of atmosphere - I dont' really understand the green look here either?
I never understood either why the press was so down on David as you say such a fun personality. I wondered was it the Fame Academy show no clear format? Was it that he didnt want to be a pop puppet and was creative and articulate and could play piano? He enjoys working as a songwriter. He had no clearly defined image in 2003. But he does now, check out his top selling Ep on the indiestore.
this isnt' my favourite David Video (surprised it gets so many hits really) I always imagined the Best of Order song set on in a club in Glasgow and shot in black and white, with the dark wet streets. This isn't how I imagined the song at all. - but its a very cool song all the same. Great sung acoustically too.
So many memories, loved David's album and his unique soul voice.
tell 'em david. sweet face doesn't always means you feel sweet all the time! love this video.
love this song - great to hear it again. David's a very independent artist, not so many of them in the pop charts these days.
baha!! YESSS. i used to love The Snedd. and this song. i saw stop living the lie on tv the other week...so came to find this. haha. wow.
Yay! Love the Sned! Great to see this video again!

I HATE reality tv with a pasion, but this lad was different. Proper talent.
I love this song - not sure about the video though? I imagine this song in black and white, set in the wet Glasgow streets and a seedy club.
I agree he does look crazy! That's what this video is supposed to represent though. He looks so young, like 16 years old!
