- title speaks for itself
anyway uhh uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
yeah so basically you need to know some key armies to the heart like imperial 7 or dragonflies 10, you need to know every army but some of them you absoltuely cannot forget
stage modifiers are cancer because you can go from max resources to gameover in a single cell
timing down easier patterns/cells can help you regenerate more of your barriers (in my case it was "trying" to regenerate as I failed quite a few kek)
first of all I did not pick a range shot for brilliant and im kinda tired of hearing "not having range in brilliant route means death" or something along those lines - if you can't dodge anything in the first place, your death will always come before you end the pattern and most range shots in BPoHC are slow which makes dodging brilliant route stuff harder as you want to get away from the spawnpoints ASAP - aoji is kinda weak, sese is strong but they are also not good if you cant get a little close to the boss (especially notable on attacks like chouki second spell) and suzumi is very strong but they also have the same issue, speed
so in the end I chose tsubakura. great damage, great speed, good enemy control (yes, they can quickly get rid of dangerous fairies, they are weak against few armies, most notably dragonflies 4 and 15 but the work they can get done for the price of 2-3 armies is very well worth it.)
ok lets "discuss" the bosses
mitsumo is literally free
everyone struggles with medias apparently but they are pretty easy tbh, key to success here is to stop trying to chase medias every milisecond. their attacks really arent that dangerous. first and final spells are the only somewhat dangerous ones, you might get hit occasionally there.
kunimitsu sucks
first non is your free barrier regenerator and then comes first spell, its not bad most of the time but occasionally you can get lasers in such awful places its so annoying
second non is easy but I messed it up so thats not nice
second spell is also easy - nothing intricate
third non is a bit hard, some of the odd waves can be pretty tough to read
giant sudden gameover - make sure to have as many barriers as possible because kunimitsu moves way too much sometimes, making the laser attack super wide and undodgable for most characters.
kaoru is... actually alright until the final
first non is dodging above middle
first spell can be aids but you can do stuff to make it better because the arrows are kind of aimed
second non is just dodging, don't get too far from middle for easier switchs
second spell needs decent reading but thats about it
third non is easy but be careful with the clouds
third spell is fine but make sure to move up once the big poison clouds are fired
final spell is stupid, make sure to avoid the arrows themselves and the clouds and try not to get hit like 3-4 times
sanra is most likely the hardest here
nons are all free barrier regenerators
first spell is misdirecting and dodging, a little bit hard but doable
second spell, sanra aims at you here (not the movement, the shots) - dont be afraid to move all around the screen, it can get very ugly at times
third spell pray
final is just random and it can be hard but one thing to note, the shots will kill you so stay away from them
mitori is a lot of routing and practice
first non is alright
first spell is really confusing, there are certain formations you can learn and there are waves that are easy to read but the rest is still a mystery to me and one stupid thing about this is the arrows actually spread quite a bit so you can still die even if you read the wave correctly which is ????
second non is also weird but there is something you can use to your advantage. each "rectangle" has the same cooldown between each shot so you can predict when the next shot will happen. obviously this makes the first wave the hardest since you don't know when they will fire, forcing you to read all 4 shooters at the same time.
second spell read ahead
dont hug bottom on third non its a trap. oh and arrow shadows can hit you
third spell is about good reading and patience. go to the top left (very important, right wont work since the spiral will be going that way first) and dodge the arrow rain part there. find yourself a good spot and keep reading the arrows from middle. if you dont have good gaps, you can use the indicators to your advantage. the arrows will be fired when the indicator reaches a certain length so if you are sure its not long enough, you can go there, dodge the arrows from middle and then go back to your "not very good" gap
fourth non just dies but if it doesnt die it can get a bit annoying because of the overlaps
fourth spell is also a lot of learning. hug one side high up to dodge the arrows or move high enough in middle if you can.
fifth spell pray on odd waves.
final spell make sure to get away from the arrows' paths because they will accelerate again after few seconds, not caring how close the arrow itself is to you.
