  • I caught a lot more yellowbelly than I was expecting to when I went fishing at Lake Nillahcootie a few days ago. Yellowbelly, otherwise known at Golden Perch or callop are stocked regularly into Lake Nillahcootie making it such an amazing place to go fishing., Definitely one of my favourites.

    Oh yeah it’s getting to that time of year. Henty has come and gone, daylight savings is now here and the warmer days are getting longer.
    It’s the time that I normally loose too many lures off the bank and every now and then I catch a yella 😜
    And I love every trip

    Hi Robbie, great vid as always! Thanks. I'm keen to know your thoughts on Greens Lake. With good chunks of the state facing a flooding threat this week and all of our dams at or close to 100% surely the authorities could pump a few ML of water into Greens Lake?!

    • @robbiefishing
      @robbiefishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate. My thoughts? It's disgusting and disgraceful that the lake is being drained and the government is doing nothing about it. I wrote letters to 3 ministers 12 months ago and not one of them bothered to reply.
      It's greed, greed and greed. No care whatsoever given to the recreational users. The campers, anglers, skiers, sailers etc... we all miss out

    It's no doubt you are a bloody awesome fisherman Robbie
    So I have a bit of a challenge for you
    Up here in NSW we have been catching lots of carp on soft plastics lately
    I would love to see you try get some mud marlin on soft plastics
    I will give you the best tip I know
    2 favourite plastics for the carp any motor oil colour yabby style soft plastic, the second and probably the best is the Berkley powerbait shrimp in blood work...
    I always find some Sfactor scent well bite stimulate helps me a bunch and also jig head size 1/24oz seem best
    Super slow retrieve just off the bottom works best or higher in the water column if you see them feeding
