    Nice set-up! Thanks for posting.
    I added foam style weather stripping to the perimeter of the doors to provide a better seal. I have't added the goldenrods to my safes yet so I use the Eva-drt units that you plug in to recharge. I use 2 per safe so I have 12 units. This makes it easy to swap out.
    The six "wet" ones I plug in to dry and when they are done, I put them in a .50 cal. steel GI ammo can. If you do this, make sure the lid has a good gasket/seal. As the warm Eva-dry units cool, the can creates a partial vacuum to really form a tight, air-proof seal. You'll know it's a good seal the next time you try to open the can! When it's time to swap units, I take them out of the can and switch them. I do this about every 3-4 weeks as I live in a very humid area. My routine keeps my safes at about 40-50% RH.
    Cheers and keep e'm in the X ring!

    I love living out in the desert it’s so dry we don’t even need dehumidifiers in our safes. I have guns been sitting in a safe over 10 years and are still perfect. 👍🏼 I need to upgrade mine with a nerf gun I have a tub full of them in the garage lol… nice video man.

      One overlooked benefit of desert living lol and yes you need to keep those nerf guns locked up

      I live in Utah and have had 2 full gun safes for around 20 years. I put a decent dessicant pack in mine when they were brand new... The same packs are still there and have no signs of needing recharge any time soon..

    Having a safe in the garage is not a good idea. Someone can just put a chain on it and pull it out or just load it into a truck if they gain access to your garage

    60% humidity is relatively high. To protect woods you want it no lower than 45% and no higher than 55%. That’s for protecting wood made instruments like guitars that NEED humidity. I’d think you’d want a gun safe to be dry… not 50% +. What’s the recommended humidity level?

    • @FrankChristopherOutdoors
      @FrankChristopherOutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You're right! NRA suggests 30-50% humidity.

    • @FrankChristopherOutdoors
      @FrankChristopherOutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think I meant to say usually less than 50%. My safe is usually 48-49% . I had it open for a while when I was filming some videos.

    I looked at the amazon light kit with the link you provided. However, the kit only has a manual on/off switch and I didn't see the "eye" that is shown in your video. Was that extra and do it make the lights turn on automatically when the door is opened?

    Most of that stuff you have in there can be put in a separate locking cabinet, then you have room for more guns😊
