SOS was normally the starting point for most people getting into Dimash, whether it was his breakout performance on Singer 2017 or when he refined his technique even more at Slavic Bazaar. He also topped Vitas's own Opera 2 on that same Singer 2017 show as his very next song. Unforgettable Day at Gakku for his most incredible high note. Ogni Pietra is another great one for strong low end and high end, which also happens to be another song he did with the composer in this video. People also tend to like Sinful Passion, Diva Dance or Confessa + Diva Dance. That should give you a good enough list for now.
It's almost unfortunate to react to Dimash so early on in your repertoire, because it will be so hard to be impressed by other singers. =)

You just seen a bit of his abilities (not a joke seriously) The wonder voice from Kazakhstan - he has a solid 6 octave range, perfect pitch, classically trained since age 5, singing in 12 different languages, any style you could think of usually mixing them in his own style, he's a composer and multi-instumentalist. Every song is unique and surprising no matter how many you heard before. He has millions of fans litteraly from all over the world. Welcome to the world of Dimash. You will find out that his fans are always eager to learn about the technical aspect of what he is doing.

You’re one of millions who allready fell in love with this out of this world talent and also very respectfull and humble personality of Dimash. Yeah, well. This one is okay, but it's not the pinnacle of Dimash's art, in my opinion.
The usual place to start is SOS. This was his first performance on the 2017 Chinese TV show 'I Am a Singer,' and it marks the transition between Dimash the regionally-famous singer to Dimash the world-famous singer. Pretty song, too. He had a bunch more songs for that show, all of which are here on TH-cam, including the English songs Adagio, Hello and All By Myself - all of which he made his own with very fresh interpretations. He also sang Diva Dance - the impossible song from the 5th Element movie. And more.
Since then he's done a pile of live performances and songs that have to be heard to be believed, like Love Is Like a Dream, Sinful Passion, Ogni Pietra, Love of Tired Swans, Passione, Mademoiselle Hyde, Screaming, and more. Lots more.
Dimash is a once-in-a-century singer, Hannah. He destroys conventions; he breaks boundaries; he shows us vocal gymnastics; and he's a vocal master from baritone through soprano and whistle voice in multiple genres, from opera to R&B to pop to folk ballads to regional songs we won't often hear in the West. In his Gakku performance of Unforgettable Day, he gives us a D8 note honestly produced from his throat. He usually employs high drama in his songs; you usually won't get the flat energy levels demanded by Western radio. He has teamed with the composer Igor Krutoy, a very big deal indeed in Russia and Kazakhstan and nearby countries, who often plays the piano for him (Igor composed Your Love and was at the piano for it). Dimash is also friendly with Lara Fabian, who I believe wrote the lyrics for Your Love (and arranged/wrote lyrics for Adagio and composed/wrote lyrics for Mademoiselle Hyde, both covered by Dimash). He performed Ti Amo Cosi with Lara and opera singer Aida Garifullina. He's been a busy young man!
I recommend avoiding CBS' World's Best competition. They cut down his songs ruthlessly; better versions exist elsewhere. They're copyright trolls, too, they don't want you to react to their intellectual property.

Other people will give you plenty of spoilers but I just want to say Dimash is an experience. He is more than his enormous Range. His greatest talent is capturing the audience and putting them through the emotional wringer. Really, the way he can tell a story and emote into a song is beyond anything I've ever seen and he's able to do it song after song after song. Forget us. You owe it to yourself to look into this guy and what he can do. He's an inovator. He's going to take the music industry in a new direction. He's 25. He's from Kazakhstan. He's only become known to the world the last 3 years and mostly that was China. SO much more to see. Talents on top of more talents with this guy.

Appreciate your reaction! Dimash has a 6-octave range (at least) and is a vocal chameleon--I'd love to see you to react to more Dimash. He has plenty of incredible performances on his youtube channel (including Passione, Know, Olimpico, SOS, and Love is like a Dream) and from China's "Singer" TV show--enjoy the journey!

Thank you for your comments about Dimash; he's AMAZING in every single performance. Yes, he can reach 6 octaves + and doesn't seem to strain doing so. He has so many different styles and colors it's hard to keep up with. He NEVER disappoints. Please do more Dimash reactions. One song which demonstrates much of his capability is Sinful Passion. Dimash is wonderful!!
This is the greatest singer and performer in the world today. Dimash becomes the song, becomes the instrument and that is why he has touched so many people from all over the world, no matter which language he sings in. As if his vocal magic isn't enough he is also a charismatic performer with killer looks and the most wonderful human being. All true.
I already commented on this but he's not just a tenor, he's a baritone, baritone bass, soprano, pop singer, rock singer and yep a rapper.... I could suggest songs but I'd be here all day... it's no wonder he's been called the best singer in the world.... classically trained since he was 5.... plays 5 instrument n sings in eleven different languages, also studied dance.... keep looking him up I promise you won't be dissapoined
I'm a great fan of Dimash, but I can't agree that he's a baritone bass... It's too low for him. I can sing a B1 in chest voice, but I'm still not a bass.

I thought he played 5 instruments but he always surprise me . he is truely someone so special, apart from his spectacular talent his stage presence is a wonderful sight to see, he moves me so much...... it's so sad we have pop singers ( not all) with basic talent and then we have dimash with true talent and he get less attention.... hopefully the world will see him

There are so many of his performances you need to see and react to. I agree with starting with SOS (Slavic Bizaar - best vocal). The SOS one on the talent show is cool as well, so you can see how his competitors react. I look forward to future Dimash reactions from you. His newest one is part of a movie soundtrack - "Across Endless Dimension". It is out of this world. But start with some of the older ones first, SOS, Autumn Strong, Opera 2, Daybreak, Love is Like a Dream....

Absolutely loved this reaction and the expression on your face when he hit certain notes. Dimash is unique and if you love the low notes I would suggest Love is like a dream. In that song it is almost like he is whispering to you. Also check out his songs from the Chinese competition I am a singer 2017 I think it is. He did a version of Vitas song Opera 2, which just basically displays some of his vocal range and also SOS. Personally I would say watch the one from the competition and then the version at the Slavic bizarre. Either way, really enjoyed your reaction - really was brilliant and informative. Just keep in mind that he has sung in 12 languages and that he himself is from Kazakhstan. In this song being newer his English is pretty good but in the older songs his English is not great but you still understand him and he shows the emotion of the songs very well - but you will see for yourself.

Great reaction. Yes, Dimash is amazing. I have never heard anyone sing like him before. He hits every note, regardless of how high or low, just perfectly. He made his mark on the World singing "SOS" on "the Singer" show from China in 2017. That performance is hard to not get copyrighted, but he has a version on his TH-cam channel from the "Slavic Market". I would suggest reacting to that song, since it put him on the "map". (And it is a beautiful song). Thanks for you efforts. You are a joy to watch.

Great informative reaction Hannah - Dimash has the best voice in the world, period !! He seems to have no limits to his abilities. He doesn't just sing a song - he becomes the song body and soul. The great thing with Dimash is that performance after performance he never fails to amaze us , even when we know what to expect !! This performance is no exception. Hi Hannah Just the tip of the Iceberg you have a lot of catching up to do. Dimash knows ever technique in the book and more and performs them to perfection. His vocal acrobatics are just crazy every song he sings is different with great emotion and stage presence and all at the ripe old age of 25 :) Now that is crazy... Keep going we would love to hear more from you. Dimash is the King of Vocals and SoHyang is the Queen :)

Hi Hannah thanks for your reaction, you just scratched the surface of Dimash his range is A1-D8 so if you are more interested on his range listen Diva Dance live concert in Bastau this song is from the movie 5th Element and it was intentionally made not to be sung by humans(they recorded some parts using a computer) but he did it.Then if you'll follow him you'll see that he is an alien with a Godgiven talent and a superb tecnique
