I decided to change careers, but got back into the performance game in the last couple of years. I just purchased a complete G3500 wreck with a Lq4 and 4l80e. I keep replaying and reviewing your video's because they are so well done. I am determined to use the 2004 ecm and save the $2000 required to buy the Holley controller. It's easy to make a xdf file from your Bin it won't be modified the way most of them are looking it will have everything that's on your computer xdf file I made one for my Bin same os number
I missed where you actually found the 12208322 XDF? You start to talk about the EFI website then you select a BIN file? Is that because it's a good fondation BIN for 2001 LS and it includes the XDF?

I cant find the XDF files anywhere, I found a bin on the same page you found the 6.0 LQ4 .bin. I need one for the 4.8 LR4. I have not seen 1 XDF on Gearhead even, am I missing something?
I have a 03 5.3 ls swaped in to a 95 gmc 3500 dually withat a manual NV 4500 trans and what I did the tune on the pcm I did not turn the auto trans off and tell it its manual now how would I change the trans in the pcm or do I need a different xdf file than the one I used for my swap 1st. The file I used was a 2012 CAMMARO tune xdf file and I think it was set with a auto trans and now I have a Manual I have searched online all over and don't really find a definite answer. Really confused, you mentioned you don't need to match xdf, I can't find one close to mine. I just noticed as soon as you started you had an xdf already loaded then just downloaded a bin. I'm on the forums there and they said I had to load a certain one and changed injectors and pedal because no one has made an xdf matching mine. Any help there?
Whatever XDF and BIN you use, has to match. You don't need to fixate on finding a XDF to match your BIN, might not be one. Just find a matching pair that do what you need and load them on your PCM

Ok, I'm still trying to clear up confusion. I'd like some definitions as to what each file does. and compatibilities. You said you pick a BIN that matches your transmission. Then pick and XDF that matches your Bin. I'd understand this better if they made a Flow chart and posted it on the Forums. I didn't want to change much on my ECU initially. I just want Vats turned off and Turn down or off the Torque limiting. looking to run an 8.1 with an Allison 2,000 the series. They stopped using EGR in 2003 they also used a return less fuel rail then. point me in the right direction OB1

You're probably looking in the wrong folder on Tunerpro, Tunerpro looks in it's own folder, if you downloaded them and didn't move them, that's why it doesn't see them.
Ok i turned vats off but when hooked back up to 5.3 still the same start run for 30 secs thn die i have a 12579405 bin file and no correct xdf please help

You failed to explain the whole process st the end. And , you saved (twice) than said you just have to flash the tune with LS droid? Or do you mean pcm hammer? Either way you didn't tell us that step

If you want to make it short AND efficient - make a script, if you are not used to perform speeches. What do you want to transmit, why what is it for and why would I want to know that. And all of that in a clever order, depending on how it works.
Example: In your video you say XDF xxx works on any computer from 99 to 2002 PCM. Then you say " I know it works and it is all there"."To use XDF xxxx file, then you say go to "here" and get the BINS, but then you say, and i quote "It only works on a few". Works on what? YOUR car? How mice! And THEN to top it off you say "make sure you use a BIN and XDF that match, AFTER you tout you dont do that and do something else. No mention of checksums and or errors. I must have missed that? Yea, other than showing screen shots, something smells. NO ONE tells people this is only a 20% success out of the box and you have to stab the shyt out of it for anything of a higher success rate. Relive it or not, I am not really busting on you, just pissed that no one will mention these things. Time to bring it to air.

You can get a Megasquirt 3 gold box with harness for about 1300 bucks but that takes all the fun out of it!

The easiest thing to do is find a manual XDF file, there's a bunch on the facebook group.

So the original OS in my 2000 ecu is a 9381344 which I cant find an XDF for. Can I just write the 8322 OS over the 1344 OS?

With HP Tuners, you can always upgrade to Pro later if you want.

Without an XDF to match your BIN you cant tune with Tunerpro, you're lucky you didn't brick it.

I would not use Tunerpro with forced induction before PCM Hammer gets their data logging working
