Insight Greatly Appreciated! One question, does a certification with “Hearts & Arrows” vs a comparable “Ideal/Excellent Cut” without a hearts and arrows notification on the certificate make any difference to light/sparkle performance of the diamond?
Typically, ideal cuts do have Heart's and Arrows. It's just not always notated because it doesn't want you to be confused with the company that uses the hearts, etc. in their name brand. If it's stated on the certificate, that's fine, but don't buy a name brand Hearts and Arrows because you will pay dearly for that name. Hope that makes sense. We are a diamond buying form. In the market for a natural diamond and just learned about lab stones. Quoted $4k for round lab 2c, F/VS1 and excellent with IGI from James Allen. After reading all these comments, what’s the fair price?
That's too much. Should be under $2,000. I have a 2.52 ct F color VS2 clarity EX EX EX for $1,630. In stock now. Let set up a call, and I will show you the diamond. I will be, in the future, going for a 3 ct. H&A cut HPHT solitaire with side stones or 2.5 ct with a halo. The longer I wait, the more prices come down. In a well cut stone you should be able to go down in color and not notice it. Is that accurate? Also I am curious if there's a noticeable difference between an H&A cut and an Ideal cut?
Absolutely! A well-cut diamond will indeed maximize its brilliance and sparkle, but you may still notice differences in color. As for the distinction between a Hearts & Arrows (H&A) cut and an Ideal cut, they both aim for exceptional brilliance and light performance, but an H&A cut typically displays a specific pattern of arrows and hearts under magnification, while an Ideal cut focuses on overall proportions for optimal light return. Both cuts can result in stunning diamonds, but they have slight differences in their visual characteristics.

I'm assuming this is for an engagement ring. Center 1 ct with 8 side stones. 4- five point stones on each side, same color and clarity. I expect the ring would be a total price of around $2,000 for everything. But it depends on the gold weight, ring size, and if it's 14kt gold or you want something else. Good Morning - Terry has reviewed the diamonds and selected a few in your criteria. Can you give us a call at the store 703-878-1622 so I can exchange information with you and send you some videos
Looking at nature 6.52 CTW, G-H color, 11-12 clarity, very good cut diamond studs. They look good, very reputable jeweler asking $45,000 , no certificate. Should l run to or from?
Diamonds that big should have a certificate on each diamond. Not an appraisal! If the color is off by just one grade, the price would drop $6,500. Without a certificate, you really don't know what you're getting. And the price swing is too big to risk it. They should have no problem sending the to GIA for a rush evaluation. Don't buy them till you get the certs. Good luck. Terry
The prices are extremely good. Some sizes are getting harder to find. They have dropped a bit in the past 6 months. I dont see much more room for them to go down. It's getting what you want that could be the concern in the future.
Close to $1,000. It depends on the exact color and clarity. We have a diamond buying guide. Fill this out and get an exact price in today's market. It's free docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScr6AQjutjK4JL_qtmm_yjgDivvIrEKFFbSOs5oD28OF221Jw/viewform

It depends on the color also. I recommend the whiter the better. Because a diamond reflects all the colors in the world, so if it's whiter, you get a crisper reflection. D E or F color are all considered colorless. The VS1 and VS2 are really flawless to the naked eye, so you could easily get a VS2 and up the color. This way, you get a better color for the same price . Or stick with the VS1. it's up to you. Depending on the shape, you should be able to get an extremely beautiful 3ct stone for around $2,500. We have a diamond buying guide that can get you the exact price you should pay. If you can't find it for that price, we are happy to supply it for you. (We also give you 20% off the setting of your choice and no extra charges for labor.) This way, you can feel confident going in any store or online and know exactly what you will pay. @@QuinnsLabGrownDiamonds I got a 7.5 inch moissanite tennis bracelet each stone is .50 mm. I was curious how much it would be to get lab diamonds instead even if it’s lower quality like F color SI.
The 1.73 should cost you around $1,600, then the setting. Platinum is about 1/2 of gold, but it's more pure in than 14k or even 18k, and it's heavier. So maybe $1,600 for the setting. That comes to $3,200 and add $300 for labor. So, $3,500 should be the price. You didn't do bad.
Hello, I would greatly appreciate your input. Im in Australia. Ive purchase a lab diamond for a previous engagement ring. My original diamond feel out it; was a very small diamond in a small setting. I took it to a jeweller to get it fixed. He said he would remove the setting and replace it with a 2.1 cart lab diamond. IGI certified. And custom made. He would make a new setting. In order to hold the new diamond. He showed me the certificate and also sent me the link online. Its a 2.1 round brilliant; E colour, cut excellent, polish excellent. Clarity SI. Cvd lab made. The setting is white 18k gold. He stayed in my budget. $2,000 because ive provided my own gold from the previous ring. So im paying for the diamond and his work. Do you think its a good deal. Ive gone to others and they quoted me double or refused to look at it. But the ring is extremely sentimental. Thank you for your help. Big thumbs up and I subscribe. He said lab diamonds are very affordable.

The most important thing in a diamond is an excellent cut. Look for clarity second and color third. DO NOT PAY FOR A DIFFERENCE IF YOU CAN NOT SEE THE DIFFERENCE!
I'm sorry I don't agree. Cut is very important, but if you don't have a trained eye, you might not know it's not a great cut or a bad one. You should focus on what you can see. Like color must be white. And clarity, you don't want to see black junk in the stone.
@@QuinnsLabGrownDiamondsplus doesn’t the actual cut matter too? I read that emerald cuts don’t show color as much but charity is super important as there’s no where to hide with those straight facets.
Lab grown diamonds will eventually be like lab grown sapphires, albeit still more expensive. But it used to be a big deal that a watch had a sapphire scratch proof glass, nowadays, a $100 watch can have that. For the same money of getting a 1.5ct naturally made diamond, you can get a 4.5ct man made one. 8 years ago when I bought my wife her ring, lab grown diamonds were still in their infant stage. Nowadays, it must be extremely stupid to get a natural diamond over a man made one. They still are a lot of work to make them, but costs will keep going down.
I agree with you. But as of January 1st, the prices on Lab grown diamonds are going up. There are some really big jumps. I'm wondering if they are trying to test the market. Soon, they will start moving up. I do believe that.
Why isn't everyone buying lab created diamonds from a company like Luvansh that sells IGI certified diamonds at wholesale prices and at a fraction of the prices you're giving? Are they not just as good as more expensive lab diamonds? I'm not being a smartass, I'd just seriously like to know whether to buy from them or not for my own protection.
I have never even heard of them. There are hundreds of companies you could buy from. Just make sure they cover everything I talk about in my videos. There are a lot of scams out there.

We would be glad to bring in these tones for you to do a video chat! Feel Free to email our manager laurac@quinnsgoldsmith.com to set this up!
In today’s market, what would you estimate an IGI certified diamond to be priced at. Ideal cut, D color, IF clarity and about 2.8ct
$1,200 to $1,500
@ that is so incredibly less than anything I have seen anywhere. Where would I find that price?
Great video! I am considering a 1.5 ct, D color lab grown diamond that’s VS1 with an excellent cut. What’s a good price? Also I would love a pink lab diamond with the same stats. Does that exist? 🙏🏽thanks
Yes, pinks do exist. And the prices are very reasonable. We have a diamond buying guide as a link below if you would like pricing and more information.

In the market for a natural diamond and just learned about lab stones. Quoted $4k for round lab 2c, F/VS1 and excellent with IGI from James Allen. After reading all these comments, what’s the fair price?

1ct round vs1 F color ideal and excellent cut and 0.4 ct divided to 8 stones same specs
That could change things up or down $200 to $300
If you fill out our diamond buying guide, we can contact you with as much information and images as you need.

Good luck.
Terry
@@QuinnsLabGrownDiamonds thank you very much, l will go to your website and look into lab diamonds as that may be the best option for me.
How are the prices now after 6 months?
The prices are extremely good. Some sizes are getting harder to find. They have dropped a bit in the past 6 months. I dont see much more room for them to go down. It's getting what you want that could be the concern in the future.

where would i find the most reliable for the best price online?
I don't recommend online because you don't get to compare stones side by side.
I'm sure there are plenty that will work for you.
How much for 3 ct Vs1 lab grown ?❤
Im sharing our diamond buying guide here. I hope this helps.

Hi, I got a price from a store near Philadelphia, PA.
Lab grown 1.73 ct, D, VVS2 round, solitaire in platinum for $4,240 w/ tax. How’s the price ?
It sounds like a very fair price. And he sounds like the kind of person that is in business to help people. As it should be. Good you found him. You should reward him by telling everyone about him. Congratulations
