REVIEW EDIT: I take back what I said about the resolution on the P1 MAX, I was a bit harsh. It's actually in between the Starfield and Timeless. Everything else in the video stands the same. I still think the tuning is a bit too safe, and both the Timeless and S12 are my preferred over the P1 Max.
Too late mate, I can't take your review seriously. Hawaii bad boy is not perfect but his reviews are probably the best out there(critical listening and not biased) this is why companies trust him to tune some iem(he is a professional). Kz and moondrop can't tune iem to save their life but they are the most popular. Moondrop Aria sounds dry and low resolution(everything is washed off) I will choose blon bo3 Anyday (well tuned iem with good imaging and soundstage)
In my own opinion This is why p1max is the best planar iem of 2022 -natural tunning -big sound stage(according to Hawaii bad boy and chifi audio reviews -can be easily eq to Sound like any planar iem(because of the safe/natural tunning) -better resolution than the timeless and s12(According to Hawaii bad boy and chifi Audio reviews. -better fit -better timbre/tonality(no overdone treble and bass) Am still waiting for my set to be delivered. but based on this points Alone I will choose tin p1max anyday.
I have received my set and it didn't disappoint. This is best sounding iem i have ever owned. Can't believe how easy it handles instrument separation on busy tracks(speed of light) the treble sounds so natural/lifelike wow😍, imaging and soundstage is very very impressive. Canon in d minor by(two steps from hell)sounds amazing micro details galore😍. I can listen to this iem all day. Quick tip use the wide bore ear tips(better soundstage ) am using symbio hybrid wide bore ear tips also a good amp and dac is needed. Am running it off ibasso dx300(sounds very very impressive) take care👍
Absolutely love OG P1, lack of over-emphasized energy is it’s virtue. Makes for clean clear relaxing listening experience. Good to know they haven’t meddled too much with the recipe on the P1 Max..
P1 Max actually became my fav planar IEM and cheapest, even over the 7Hz and the WU, very smooth natural sound, neutral, great tonality, not fatiguing at all which isn't always easy with IEM's, the details are there, it's easy to assume more details reside in IEM's with more top end that give you that 'false sense' of extra detail, I think the P1's have more resolution than the 7Hz in my humble opinion and I have the 7Hz sat right next me, if you want something different give the P1 Max a go, especially if your not such a fam of the Harman target curve which I'm not.
Finally! Someone else who isn't a fan of the Harman target. Glad you're speaking out. I almost feel like getting singled out most of the time lol. Anyway I might give this a go. How is the fit tho? I have the original P1 and they almost fit snug in my ear. Just a little bit of space to hold more but idk.
The 7hz Timeless and Blessing 2 Dusk are my daily drivers out of all my iems/headphones. They are both just so damn good. The S12 are great too but I just feel like the 7hz is better tuned and less harsh in the treble.
According to your review, the P1 MAX would be great for people like me that suffer from mild to med. tinnitus. Zingy upper mids and treble can really make life difficult for us.

I've been obsessed with sound systems for years, but Timeless were both my first IEMs and my first planars. Ive used them every day since they arrived, still blown away daily. Now my problem is that everything else I have sounds inferior

I know you don't eq... But can p1max take eq well? Push the bass up and perhaps add a little sparkle up on the top end to fill out what you want would make the p1max perfect canvas for PEQ nerds.

I have the Timeless and the PMV PP, and the graph of the PMV PP is close to the Tin P1 Max but drops off on the high end. I like the PMV PP, but it lacks high end. I am considering the TIN P1 Max for the better high end. Is it worth it?
7hz timeless is an market breaking iem because at this pricepoint he can be the best iem for someone who's not willing to pay that much for an Iem and he usually comes on top.
I think this is true, but only speaking of the original version. They changed the filter which made the tuning like the S12 so people who have the OG Timeless are lucky
Man nice video, but I think that u are one of the few reviewers that values fake details (made by boosted frequencies) over the real one, actually the tin p1max is really detailed but not in your face. Timeless has much of a fake detailes made by freq response, like is very bright and transparent and has almost that wall of sound in some freq. You have to distinguish this things it would be more precise video. The p1max actually is nowhere near as average in details as u have said :).
I am surprised about what you said on the Muse. I was so disappointed with it...my unit is dead compared to the Timeless and S12, no upper end energy....weird mids....below par technicalities....it could be you got a good unit.....but my one is just average.

Blessing 2 Dusk is my first IEM and I agree. Don't plan on buying any other IEM or headphones for many many years.
What are the strengths of the dusk compared to the timeless would you say?

Muse is shit (According to Hawaii bad boy) for me p1max cheeks all the boxes , if I want extra party tricks/gimmicks there is eq for that.
