The clock just have the cartier name on it. It is the same clock used in different gm cars from the peroide also. The internals is not very costly,and they often only lasted 5-10 years.
I LOVE the TOWN CAR without OPERA windows in the SAIL , I JUST THINK IT LOOKS CLASSIER . HOWEVER I DO love THE OPERA WINDOWS ON THE MARK IV and MARK V I own 4 MARK IV and one 1979 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL COLLECTOR SERIES in dk blue

Your not the only one. My family has a 2002 Town Car and it drives like a dream. Only downside is you look like an old man driving it but the mid 70s to early 90s Lincolns had style.
Im jealous. Are they really reliable cars? And I dont mind looking like an old man at all. I dislike most of my generation anyway because their phones are more important than me so they can think what they want to. But yeah they have really nice lines to em. I do admire the early 2000s town cars.
They are very reliable. Ford's 4.6l V8 is one of the most reliable engines ever made and the seats are some of the most comfortable I've ever sat in. The only downside you might encounter with town car from 1998 and onward is the rear air suspension. Eventually it will deflate and you will need to replace it and it can be kind of expensive but that eventually happens to any vehicle with air suspension. Plus if you launch at the right rpm the engine really pulls. Not a speed demon by any means but mine had enough torque to send my phone flying from the cup holder to the back seat.
Well I wonder if its capable of more speed because I hear with the 71-79 town cars they were limited to 100-something horsepower meanwhile they had over 300ft-lbs of torque. Something to do with emission levels I would think.
I will have to disagree with you . My wife Loves driving the MARK IV'S and the 1979 Lincoln Collectors Series ,I think shes even a bigger car nut than I am
@@joemccarthy4532 well yes very rare to see a woman Drive these cars but in my neighborhood there is end elderly lady that has had her Lincoln Town Car ever since it was brand new and she said it's the best car she ever bought and to this day she drives it to Albertsons

All Lincoln's of the period came with Cartier clocks regardless of model.

There was no Town Car model in the 70s. The Town Car trim package was available on the Lincoln Continental.
