    Love your products, I'm really impressed with the quality. This will be my second shower head - we were so impressed with the first one my wife bought a second for our other bathroom. We also will be buying a third once we remodel the master bath at our other property. Thanks again!

    Just installed my Custom Dual Shower Head w/External Shower Diverter Valve. When switching to the handheld wand the diverter valve doesn't seem to close fully as I still get some spray from the shower head. Is this normal? If not, how do I get a replacement diverter valve?

    Love my Hammerhead. Even the box and wrappings are awesome. I haven't installed the single handheld yet. The overhead rainshower is installed and the wall is still open. What kind of diverter do I need for this situation? PVC pipes.

    We have pretty decent water pressure on our single shower head right now. When converting to two, is there anything I can do to maintain strong pressure on both heads when engaged? Thanks for the video!

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The water pressure still depends more on your system than the showerhead itself but in terms of the pressure, both have 2.5 GPM so they should produce and maintain strong pressure when engaged.

    Im having a major issue with leaking coming from where the diverted screws into the shower rod. I removed the old tape and applied new but nothing works. Any tips?

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This would be our tips so we can avoid any leakage between the shower arm and the diverter:
      -Teflon tape: We recommend using only 2 or 3 turns of teflon tape. Using more than that would be counterproductive as the threads use the NPT Standard and using more teflon than the indicated, messes up the threads and allows water to leak. If the shower arm is fairly new, we would even suggest using no teflon tape at all.
      -The washer inside the holder: This washer sometimes loses its form and can be replaced with one of the spare washers that come in the package. Another trick would be to just flip the washer and tighten the holder super well. This should be able to make a good fit and please tighten the holder super well as the pressure over the washer is the thing that avoids the leakage.
      - The shower arm: if the shower arm is older than 7-10 years, it might have suffered damage due to changes in temperature and usage. We would definitely suggest using a new one.

    Is it possible to have the rain head and the hose running at the same time?

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Katie!
      thank you very much for reaching out. It is! You can divert the water to the rain showerhead or to the Hand Held or both!

    When I switch mine on the pressure remains the same in the main shower head. And then comes out extremely weak in the handheld. Any tips on how to fix this?

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Rain shower head is 8 inches in diameter and as such, it takes more water for usage than the regular 4 inch shower head. This is the reason why we create the 3-Way diverter so that you can diverter to either of the heads or both at the same time.

    A good piece of advice, never try to tighten these with a channel lock or wrench. I've already ruined 2 of these, 3rd times a charm

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback on this, J B. Metal on metal will definitely do some damage so we recommend wrapping a soft cloth around the fixture before using a channel lock or wrench.

    I'm curious why teflon tape was only applied at the first step, and not used where the handshower and main shower head are attached.

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is a great question! Teflon is used for 2 things. To guide the threads though and to cover up for small gaps that could be between threads. Between the Shower arm and our diverter, I placed teflon because as the shower arm was already there, we could have a leak. After that, the quality of our products is so that it is possible to install without teflon and have no leaks.

  • @sk9erchick
    @sk9erchick 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So it’s not necessary to put plumbers tape on the other threads? It’s only needed on the shower arm?

    • @theshowerheadstore
      @theshowerheadstore  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A master plumber once told me, "you can never use too much sealant." The shower arm typically has the least fine threads and has more wear and tear, so it's the most important piece to apply sealant tape to. However, you can totally take the extra measure and wrap all the male threads.
