Great video. Do you think you would have also been good with depth if you went flush with the stud in the drop ear for the handheld, or did you feel like you were bottoming out when you installed the water supply.
tile guy you also have to account for the shower liner and thickness you're better off putting a level on the bottom to make sure your wall is level instead of guessing
Good video I had my shower done with this diverter and nothing works the way it supposed to but by watching this video I think I found the problem. They connected the right side instead of plugging it. Good thing I took a picture.
wouldn't it be better to have the handheld nipple installed before the tiles come in? So it can be tested for any leaks with using a cap? Kind of hard to see if the nipple leaks behind the wall. Thanks for the video nonetheless
Did you use Pex A for the white pipe? Does it come in Pex B? Do you have to use the expansion tool with Pex A pipe? Also, can you use Ram paper for backer board? Even the protection board for linoleum? That go board is hecka expensive?
Why don't you use an attachment on the ceiling for the shower wand to become a rain head instead of two fixtures. The idea is you have more adjustments on the wand than you do the rain head. And you save money with less plumbing and fixtures.
I have the shower with the hand held (just as you installed), but now I want to remove the shower with the hand held, and just install the shower head. Can a shower head fit directly on top of adjustable wall bar pipe?
Great video. I’m having my shower remodeled changing to a single shower control and maybe a hand held shower head with adjustable slide bar and 2 or 4 body sprayers. What would be a rough estimate of just the plumbing work? Thanks
Tough one to say. Every person and company has its own costs and more importantly opportunity costs… But body sprays are more involved for sure. I personally would charge about $1k for labor on something like that
I was wondering why the port is usually installed at the level of the diverter or above? Can the port be installed below the valve (36" above floor)? Would it cause any function issue? Wife wants the hand held wand lower to was the dog in the shower stall
I am installing the outlet for the handheld in my shower. It gets snug to the wall around 7 or 8 o'clock. i am afraid of cracking the tile if I try to force it all the way around to 6 o'clock so it faces down. How do I do this?
7, 8 o’clock isn’t very far… You might need to buy an extension & smaller nipple to make it work Or have a custom one made. Ace hardware used to do things like that amzn.to/3tU7D2x

After you remove the plug, How do you ensure that there is no leak inside the wall once you put in the final 2” brass nipple?

It’s an okay option, but most of them are cheaply made and leak over time. 👍
Advantage or disadvantage to going with Model:R22000 for same set up. Overhead and handheld.
