My cat Anna died last week from this kind of brain tumor. The neurologist said surgery wasn’t an option because the tumor was located in the center of her brain. I am completely devastated. I was told by my vets that there is nothing that can be done for a cat with a brain tumor but now I’m finding out that isn’t true. I blame myself for not taking her to a neurologist sooner. I thought it was an ear infection which she did have that also. The story is heart breaking and I really tried by taking her to the vet several times but we concentrated on her ear infection when what I should have done was take her to the neurologist sooner! . I’m glad this precious fur baby is okay. I just don’t understand why 4 vets told me there isn’t anything that can be done. For the person who asked who has this kind of money well we can afford whatever is important to us. If people want something they can’t afford they use a credit card. I would cut off my arm to have her back and that’s the truth. I don’t understand why this happened.

Thank you so much for posting!! I have an 17-18 yr old cat with meningioma. I am considering the surgery and this makes me feel so much better. The cat in the video looked so good at his 10-day check-up. Many thanks for letting us see how well the cats can handle this surgery.

Does the radiation therapy work well like this too ?

Feline meningiomas do respond to radiation. However, since they are usually very large by the time they’re diagnosed and since they are readily treatable with surgery, most neurologists recommend surgery and sometimes follow up RT.

I wish I could find a surgeon for my cat so she could recover and live a few more years like Baby did in this video ...

Every owner is different. We aim to offer options and solutions for every situation. This particular owner wanted to do everything possible for his pet. Fortunately, we found something that we had excellent chances of helping with and had an excellent outcome. We always discuss costs and potential complications with owners prior to this sort of surgery. We also offer financing options through a variety of third parties to allow pet owners to pay for costs of care over time. Thanks for your question!

@SEVNeurology thats great you offered finance. Seems like now that is never an option. My cat has a brain tumour it's £7000 minimum and no chance of doing payment plan
