    I agree with most of this review as I found the car to be a joy to drive, great value for money, well equipped and reliable.
    Remember, lots of rivals in particular French EV cars, Nissan Leaf, Vauxhall has inflated the price much so that, it leaves customers with No value/ incentives to consider their brands.

    Great video. Just driven this car with my wife ( she drove it too) on city roads. We are both impressed. Very smooth. Amazing for the price. Minors I noticed you can not pull the steering wheel frontwards ( up & down you can) but you can move your seat & degree of that seat ( so your body moves closer). I am quite a tall person ( 185 cm). The steering wheel position felt good enough with these adjustments. Drives very smooth in the city. A lot of space inside & the boot was truelly impressive compared to our vw golf M6. Suprising for the size of the car. Plenty of head & knee space too. Wish I had tested it on the highway. The only thing that really bothered me was the real range (140 -165) & that there is no auto update system like Tesla & VW ID3. This could have improved the range slightly over time (software) together with other updates of the software like new roads & closest charging stations,.... Felt & looked modern ( not outdated ). DO NOT MOCK THIS CAR UNTILL YOU HAVE DRIVEN IT. Was worried about MG's quality but the chinese take over seems to have a great effect on this car & maybe the brand. The quality did not feel cheap at all for this price. It is not an audi ofc, different price class. Very glad I drove it. I hope they increase the range of this car to around 215 miles or make some cars that will if they do this they will need to boost the charging speed to 120 -150 though ( now it is 80) so the charging time would not be too long.

    Good review as usual but missing some important information from MG about warranty and rusting this is probably why most reviews looking at electirc vehicles miss the MG, which i thought was a fantastic bit of kit for the money and still looks, drives like a ordinary car. Upon closer inspection of recent complaints, MG zs EVs rust like mad (queue the 1970s car industry) especially since Henkel helped the chinese to go green in terms of its galvanising process which resulted in a spray on coat rather than the old process of fully dipping panels into zinc. Follow the yellow brick road to the MG warranty document to check the situation and although they state a generous 7 year warranty, this is in fact totally misleading. MG warranty varies from component to component weirdly enough especially when it comes to anti-perforation they dont cover serious manufacturing issues leading to rusting (despite them telling you its covered), unless its surface rust on panel work and unless the rust has created holes in the panels to peer through. Therefore any rusting of the car chasis or membranes will not be covered. If you are lucky enough and early enough to put in a claim, make sure the vehicle is inspected year in year out (documented) and is maintained or else MG wont accept any liability . In terms of the reality of this for the consumer and from the complaints to MG already about the car, most of the rust was seen between the seams of the steel underneath the vehicle. Therefore, before MG will validate any claim scarily enough you may just have a car failling its MOT just before such a claim covered in holes before MG takes action albeit on the back of a goodwill gesture to the customer. I advise anyone buying these buckets to check the sills, undercarriage, suspension, interior especially around the pedals for water and the circuit box which has led to all manner of electrical issues including automatic wipers activating and the horn sounding off at random moments. MG suspension has at the rear steel cups which see a collection of water that will evenutally rust the whole suspension spring, top down. In the words of one MG owner who defended the company MG sells around about 300,000 cars a year, a few defects are expected. However, firstly i would not want to be the unlucky chum to take legal action against MG to fix my automobile. On considering the price of a MG zs EV still, i would not want to buy one just to find out the customer would need to rust proof the thing because china was cutting corners just to be green. i for one am out and sadly now would not purchase one of these vehicles unless it had been checked by both a mechanic, technician and a industrial chemist.

      It depends on where and how you drive, it will do 200 miles, one person did a test and managed a lot more. I would be happy with this since when I go on longer trips i usually stop for a break every now and then, If I can do 150 miles then stop for a charge while having a nice break and something to eat and drink that is fine for me. I prefer back roads to motorways personally so it would work very well.

      Fan speed, blending of outside air and heated/cooled air.

    3.6mi/kWh isn't great, surely? I have to deliberately drive like a tool to get my e-Golf under 4mi/kWh, I've averaged ~4.5 over the 1250mi I've done in it.
    In my mind I think of it in terms of the old good/better/best of mpg:
    ZS EV 3.6mi/kWh == 40mpg
    e-Golf 4.5mi/kWh == 65mpg
    Ioniq 5mi/kWh == 80mpg
    If we take the e-Golfs 4.5 average and ZS EV 3.6, the e-Golf is 20% more efficient with a 29% lower usable battery capacity (32kWh vs 44.5kWh). So, the ZS EV only has 9% more range...
    We still think of efficiency in terms of money saved, that's not so important given leccy is (relatively!) cheap compared to petrol/diesel per mile. It's important to focus on, though, as the kWh of the ZS EV clearly suggests range it doesn't have.

    • @snoozylacetti

The range is terrible, nothing close to the advertised range. I only get about 70-75 miles in cold weather, which is disappointing. The advertised range is inflated; every morning, you lose 5-10 miles for the battery to heat up. If you dare to turn the heating on, 20-30 miles are gone. Radio, lights, heating, cooling, touchscreen, and sensors all consume your mileage. Besides, it is not cheaper to run than a petrol or a diesel car. Whatever you save on fuel, you will end up paying towards your hyper-inflated insurance premium.
