Can I ask how can I get an appointment with this Dr?
Thank you so much for your attention to dystonias and specifically Blepharospasm. I have Blepharospasm. I noticed that in your detail slide that the nerves run to the ear. I have noticed I have problems with my ears as well. I have tinnitus and ears clogged with pressure change like I am in a plane. Also increase sinus pressure issues. My question is the end mediator nerve I found interesting. Would that nerve be the main cause of the Blethaspasm since I am having tinnitus, ear pressure side effects and increase sinus pressure. Could there be a possible cause due to a tiny scar tissue or tumor? Thank you
is surgery the only cure for this
Not at all. The first and most common treatment is botulinum toxin, e.g., Botox. See www.blepharospasm.org/blepharospasm-treatments.html for further information.
