Just a tip to pass on from my golf coach. Keep your glove in a Ziplock bag when you are done playing. The bag keeps the leather soft and helps the glove last longer and feel better. Hope this helps!
After the play, a glove is soaked in sweat, kepping it in a plastic bag doesnt seem like a good idea (germs will not agree). To maintain the leather soft all you need to do is occasionaly rub the a cream into it, any will do.
funny, i literally made the switch last week because a friend suggested it. I won a set of new fitted Wilson Staff Model blades i've been trying. He said I should get the glove to complete the set and the glove is amazing was very impressed
@@Jrock420blam I love Wilson irons too! Hope those blades work out. Wish I was good enough to play a pure blade. I’ve owned about three sets of Wilson’s. Currently playing Honma TW-X which are hollow blades and I LOVE THEM!
MG Golf. Best glove, best value. Only glove I’ve used for 20+ years. Dyna Grip Elite, fine Cabretta leather, only $6.99. Try it and you’ll never switch back 👍👍
Those bastards almost never release them for left-handed players. I want also try their 3 piece wedge set so bad but they're only for right-handed people.
I'm always budget conscious so the Costco Kirkland golf glove 4 pack for $23 (used to be $20) is the best deal no doubt. The quality is just as good too.
The Wilson one is what I usually buy. It's cheap enough to replace more often and pretty durable for the price. I have tried FJ and like those but the palm gets stiff after playing in the hot weather here. I have also used TaylorMade. Nice feel but it tends to move in the grip on me when I swing.
Used the Titleist Players glove for a good long time. Made the switch to FJ StaSof. It feels better and lasts way longer. At least for me. I’d be hard pressed to switch, simply because of the number of uses I get from the glove before I have to replace. It’s a good value in my book.
I try to buy 2 packs on line. I have used the Kirkland's from Costco. Soft leather fits good and I have very large hands. Thanks for all u do for us. Have a fabulous Wednesday
I’d go with Bionic as a premium option, still less than the Ping. The last year I’ve been using Bender Gloves and buying them online. $15 for the basic spandex model, $17 for the mesh. They last and feel great.
I generally wear the Nike Tour Classic. They do tend to take a little breaking in, but I go down a size, and after a round or two, the leather stretches to adapt to my hand and fits like a glove.
Wilson offers great value in this type of a category. They've been making similar types of gloves for other sports (e.g. baseball) for a long time which probably gives them an edge over others. I'm a big fan of the Wilson Grip Soft gloves. Similar performance to the Conform line, but they cost even less.
Went from Footjoy last year to the Zero Friction glove, Love em. Fit well, wear exceptionally well. one whole season with one glove and it is still good, using it this year as a range glove. Thanks for all your info and efforts!!
Great video Matt. Like the way you explain things. You have to go for the Kirklands though. 4 for $20. Nice leather good fit. Last pretty good. After a while even if you don't wear a hole in a glove the leather gets harder and less grippie so gotta toss them.
I haven't used a golf in many years. Back in the days of leather and harder rubber grips I would use a glove for grip but with today's grips I don't see the need. I use the Winn Dri-tac lite grips and they are soft and provide excellent grip on the club without squeezing the life out of it. As you say Matt, personal preference. Great video thanks for the insight.
I've been using the Wilson Conform for about a year now. Wouldn't be surprised if I never bought a different glove. It's that good. Plus they offer an XXL which is perfect for me, as most XL gloves are a smidge tight.
wait, what? I've never seen those in Costco in the US. going to be sure to look. Personally love the Titleist feel but they are super supple so they wear really fast.
Glad to see you included Red Rooster in this. I was thinking about purchasing one of their gloves for the kickstarter campaign they just started, but I did recently purchase 2 gloves for the season...Srixon Premium for $14.99
I love the way they fit and feel. I play 18 holes every weekend and occasionally hit the range during the week. I’m pretty easy on gloves and these last me several months.
I’ve been playing golf for 40 years and have tried every glove imaginable, and my favorite all-time glove is the Mizuno. My favorite feeling glove is the Oakley, but as is well-documented, the Oakley glove wears-out way too fast.
I use FJ RainGrip gloves. Wish they would also sell them individually instead of only as a pair as I only need one. Gets pretty hot and humid down here in the south.
These are awesome! Last forever, great feel and great for hot climates (im in south Louisiana) having to buy both hands isn't a big deal since they are still less expensive than most
Love the feel in Taylormades TP Flex, unfortunately I wear holes through them in under a month. Ive been happy with the Mizunos but Bionic has had many mentions already so I’ll have to give them a shot… can’t have too many!
IMO, over the past few years, FJ has gone way downhill. Zero Friction for me. But only to practice. I don't wear 1 to play until I have to be concerned about perspiring hands. Then I have no choice.
Wilson Conform for me, great feel, last quite a while, but the most important thing for me is the crease on the thumb. Wilsons is very different, double stitched and never falls around to be under my thumb after some use. This is issue I have with just about every other glove, after a while of usage the thumb crease seems to move/twist under the thumb and I feel it on the grip. I throw these away before they are used up as a result, they are just too uncomfortable etc... No issues with the Wilson, only glove I have used until it wears through !!
And of course, no Cobras..lol. I just got the Cobra Purfit and it is the best glove I’ve ever had, for these reasons.. at 5’6”, have fairly small hands and wear a medium. The fit of this glove is amazing. The feel of the leather, perfect. Grip is off the charts! The feel of the club is better than any glove I’ve tried.
Like many on here, I really like the Kirkland gloves. However, I switched to Upglove last year and love them. Small company with great owner and you feel part of a community.
I've been using Footjoy gloves since the mid 1970's. I'm 61 and yet to find any suitable replacement. Just feels so good on my Golfpride cord grips. Convince me something better is out there.
I've used the WIlson Conform for a few years, I don't always wear a glove. I was always thought it felt good, but there was something better out there because it was so cheap even though I really liked how it felt. But the fit, feel, and thickness was the still best after I shopped around and tried on other gloves. I thought a more premium price would be mean better quality, but it wasn't the case.
Bionic Gloves are the best. Yea, a bit expensive but I play 40-50 rounds per year in Georgia (hot and humid) and they last two full seasons. I also have arthritis and these gloves enable you to have a much "looser" grip on the club. I know this is a specialty type glove but I've tried all the name brand gloves and they're all crap including most of the ones you tested in this video. I pay a little more for the Bionic but I get a whole lot more for the price. Try it out, Matt.
would like to see where the costco kirkland glove and the mg golf glove fit into the list. $5-6 per glove. I've used both. I can easily use them over the brands everyone is used to.
I play the PGATSS glove. Doesn’t last long, but thin (thinner than most here) and cheaper with very good feel. Stitching is decent but practically crumbs (heal of hand) after about 5 rounds. Velcro goes shortly after but I keep coming back to the brand. I will try the Wilson next time though. Thanks for the great video.
I use the FootJoy Weather Sof glove. It has great feel and great for humid days when I play. I have tried many other gloves but always comeback to this glove as the one I buy and wear. And the price for this glove is only 11 dollars for a single glove and 19 dollars for a two pack of them so its on the cheaper side but not cheap on quality. I will continue to buy this glove often.
I use bender golf gloves I get from Amazon. They last forever. I used the same one numerous times a week all summer last year and it didn’t get all clapped out until the very end. Bought another one and been using that one ever since.
Wilson continues to surprise me. I’m about to get a set of D9 irons after hitting most brands at Club Champion. Seems like it’s a brand that’s often overlooked.
Best premium glove and for $5 its total no brainer ($20 in store for 4 pack)- Kirkland Signature gloves. Premium Cabretta leather. Amazing when you don’t have to pay out athletes 10 of millions, buy in bulk what it can do for prices. FYI the new 2021 signature polo shirts - cross between Puma and FJ - $14. Some in Costco brass loves golf !
I scored a handful of Bridgestone gloves on a Walmart clearance end-of-season last year for $3: a little spandex, a little syn-leather, good grip, very breathable, lasts for dozens of rounds. Moral of the story is that golf gloves are too expensive (stupidly so), just get something that feels good in a good price-point for yourself.
I have amended my original comment. After rewatching this video, again I come to the conclusion that everyone's fit and feel are different. Whether you weld for living, turn tools all day, working in office, garden, etc. Our hands are all different and the way gloves feel to us as far as comfort are all different. One glove that I have now turned to as I feel is the best glove. Are the Zero Friction gloves. That glove has become my 1A glove to go with. So comfortable and so very very durable. I actually have three friends that love the Zero Friction as well and are using it as their main golf glove. If you could please give that glove a review. I think all of your fans would be interested to know what you think of it and whether they should give it a try. Again, Keep up the great work. Truly enjoy your channel and your videos. This Comment below was from 10 months ago. "Thank you for another great video. Out of all the gloves that I have personally tested, my favorite glove currently is the Mizuno elite. Feels like you're not wearing a glove at all."
Interesting. I use The Tour Authentic and Sta-Sof interchangeably bc they seem the same to me. I tend to buy the Callaway more often bc they replace them if it gets a hole or tears. Obviously the two Acushnet gloves are the same, Dicks just doesn’t carry the Titlist so I always get FJ. :). Would also like to see Kirkland compared.
I played a Bionic glove from Dicks and it lasted 2 seasons before it was wore out. Bought a Foot joy as its replacement and found out that the bionic did really well as the foot joy lasted 2 rounds before it started to wear out in the palm.
Really enjoyed watching this video, very informative. Thank you for doing a video on other golf equipment. Like you, I typically use the Titleist brand glove. So I will try the Wilson glove when I need a new one. What will do with gloves that you did not like?
Great video, so many times in golf it just comes down to the little things. If you’re ever in Baltimore I can show many creative ways to get an 8 on a hole! Lmao good stuff.
Been using Titleist Player's as long as I can remember. Only one that doesn't really feel like you're wearing a glove. If I can't find those I also like FJ Select in the black box. I love the Player's but I don't get but about 12 rounds before I tear the palm or the thumb.
Another great and honest review Mr. Short Game....I also like the Wilson gloves and the Callaway glove but the medium price one....It would be nice if you explained the difference between the size terms like Cadet medium or reg medium... Thanks....
Wonderful video. At work we sell cheapo generic gloves for like $7, and the people love them. Personally I like the Titleist or the FJ. I will try the Wilson.
Red Rooster - Sussex is their thinner material glove. Feel like it needs to be in your next glove comparison video. Feel like it jumps to third or even better 👌 Love all your vids! ✌️
Try Zero Friction. Best, most comfortable/durable glove I've ever used! 2 seasons on one glove and it still looks, and fits like new. (Except for the dirt).
This sort of leather in most of these gloves are better over time. Are first they might not feel like you get much feel but once you play a round or two they should feel great on your hand and formed to the shape of your hand.
You did not go to MG Golf! Best golf gloves for the money, period. Great quality and nothing over $8. I buy their tech glove which is white premium cabretta leather with spandex across the knuckles and the base of thumb.
Curious to know if you have any experience with hirzl the kangaroo leather gloves I completely agree I love Cabretta gloves but it’s very humid in the summer where I live and have to keep a rotation of about 3 or 4 I’ve also tried several but none can keep the sweat back for long synthetic, or rain gloves aren’t for me I won’t sacrifice feel for grip so just wanted to get your thoughts they look promising in all conditions but the rigidity makes me think they can’t be close to a soft Cabretta but I could be wrong thanks!
I usually use Foot Joy StaSoft. I've been using since I can remember. They are one of the most comfortable ones I've worn. I try other gloves every once in the while but seems to be the best. I got 4 pack of Kirkland gloves as a gift and they are pretty good. Don't have Cosco membership to buy them though =/ I hear Golf Galaxy has Warranty on gloves now for $3 more. Apparently, if there is wear and tear on them you can return them for a free one. Still need to check that out
Can I suggest you give Claw Daddy a try? I would love to hear your thoughts on them. I find them to be very comfortable and they last a really long time. The only drawback is when they do get wet you lose grip.
Just a tip to pass on from my golf coach. Keep your glove in a Ziplock bag when you are done playing. The bag keeps the leather soft and helps the glove last longer and feel better. Hope this helps!
Great tip
Tip of the year
Makes sense!
Great tip thanks for sharing

Been using Wilson for 20 years.
Fit and feel better than any FJ I’ve ever used.
Very underrated as anything Wilson makes usually is.
DUDE you gotta review the finger-ten glove. One glove has lasted me two seasons now.
Yessir.... before I even swung again after quite a few years not playing... Wilson was the first glove I bought. Didn't think about the others.
funny, i literally made the switch last week because a friend suggested it. I won a set of new fitted Wilson Staff Model blades i've been trying. He said I should get the glove to complete the set and the glove is amazing was very impressed

Give MG Golf gloves a try. $6.99/glove for their "Elite" glove. And you can have your logo put on it for like $1/glove extra.
MG @ $6.49 each is a great glove with all the feel and softness you'll ever find!!!
Gotta get the Kirkland brand in the test! Best value for sure
I use these and I feel like it's just as good as any other major brand gloves. Can't beat the price and quality is great

Wonderful video. At work we sell cheapo generic gloves for like $7, and the people love them. Personally I like the Titleist or the FJ. I will try the Wilson.
Love the Wilson one surprisingly. Always cheap at Walmart and feel great
Red Rooster - Sussex is their thinner material glove. Feel like it needs to be in your next glove comparison video. Feel like it jumps to third or even better 👌 Love all your vids! ✌️
Brilliant (again!), thank you!!
Try Zero Friction. Best, most comfortable/durable glove I've ever used! 2 seasons on one glove and it still looks, and fits like new. (Except for the dirt).
Not a fan of stretchy materials on gloves. I usually go with the Callaway Dawn Patrol glove but tend to switch every few years.
Any information on how to recondition them after they’ve been worn?Any of the restores I’ve tried makes the glove slick and it loses tackiness
You should get you hand on G/Fore gloves...simply the best!. As for cost effective, the Costco gloves are the ones to use for ones practice time.
I usually use Foot Joy StaSoft. I've been using since I can remember. They are one of the most comfortable ones I've worn. I try other gloves every once in the while but seems to be the best.
I got 4 pack of Kirkland gloves as a gift and they are pretty good. Don't have Cosco membership to buy them though =/
I hear Golf Galaxy has Warranty on gloves now for $3 more. Apparently, if there is wear and tear on them you can return them for a free one. Still need to check that out
Purchased the FJ stasof based on this review. I’m a newer golfer though.
FootJoy Weather Sof! Excellent glove, fits perfectly and lasts forever!
I also think the Kirkland glove is superior to all other brands I have tried.
Love the whistling straits shirt!!! I live and Chicago and want to make the trip one summer as a bucket list course to play.
Can I suggest you give Claw Daddy a try? I would love to hear your thoughts on them. I find them to be very comfortable and they last a really long time. The only drawback is when they do get wet you lose grip.
I have used the Claw Daddy for several months and it has been the best glove I've ever used. The breathable mesh is perfect for HOT Florida.
Yeah, I have been using Claw Daddy as well on my 2nd Glove in 1 Year. Love them.
Where can I buy thick gloves to prevent blister
Sir, what size do you use for the Wilson ?
Was excited to see where the glove I use came on your list (taylormade) enjoyed the video 👍🏻
