- First episode from season 3 (April 2008) - Derek from Essex and Alison from Oxford. Alison appeared on many TV shows, picking up lots of cash whilst claiming that she 'doesn't like ginger people' and also that she 'doesn't need friends'. Will she be forming a new friendship today?

Fear not that decrepit Alison lacked the self-esteem to behave like a decent person here. Thankfully Derek returned for a later show in which 4 losers (i.e. splitters whose opponents chose to steal) had a second chance. He made it to the final and split about £8,000 with a younger woman, both of whom are the real winners - บันเทิง

I thought she was being deceitful. Her body language is a dead give away. She first waves her hands a lot when talking to him in attempt to make him think she is being serious. Notice then how she takes another peek at the ball and then holds it close to her face as if she is hiding it. Those are clear signs she is about to steal.
You see here what the problem with the World is. All the suffering out there of people we don't know me, yet you have people like this who can steal £7000 from someone right in front of their face and then celebrate it afterwards. What hope do strangers who are suffering have if women like this, who on the surface appear 'nice', clearly don't give a fuck about them as they don't even care about people that they DO know?

Alot of people pointing out that women always steal on the show more, like its a surprise. Human history can give you a simple understanding of the differences between male and female psychology. Prefix; there are always outliers so chill if youre a man or a woman that doesnt fit the mold im about to describe, but the majority will find that -
Men throughout most of history have had to hunt, fight and provide for their families and nations. Such fights are often alongside other men of their affiliated region, and these fights can be daunting so in order to keep up their own morale, they develop a sense of comradery and that is where things like honour between men comes from. Pair that with their natural love and desire for women and it is quite natural to see a trend where men show empathy to both genders alot. Men generally only ever prove untrustworthy when under the influence of drink, drugs or extreme sexual desires, which is often followed by supreme regret as honour plays a big part in their mental psych.
On the flip side, women throughout most of history have had to raise families, stay home and be nurturers and naturally developed stronger social skills in order to survive and attain the things they desire. Through this thousand year practice of navigating through people and personalities in every day life for the majority of their needs, it is to be expected that they would become greater manipulators. Their life style and gender role did not often put them in positions for things like honour to be of much use, so they did not develop it as much. The greatest bond for a woman is their children , the majority of the loyalty and honour they are capable of giving goes to them, so they will often throw others under the bus in order to provide for their kids.
This leads to a few conclusions for this show.
1. Men are more likely to show empathy to other contestants due to their higher sense of honour
2. Women will be far better at manipulating their opponents
3. Women will be more willing to hurt a stranger if it means they can bring more money, and inturn security, to the children they are nurturing
These traits wouldnt be at the forefront of their minds when making these decisions, nobody thinks that extensively when making rash decisions, but the subconscious would for sure play a part in their decision making and that is exactly why you see a higher rate of women choosing to steal on this show than men

People don't want to hear this but the objectively better choice is steal as it's either 0 or the full amount whereas with split it's either 0 or the half amount. If the other person picks steal there's nothing you can do, but if the other person picks split you can either take half the money or the full amount. It's nothing personal.

Problem is that if everyone thinks like that, nobody will ever win anything. It's the prisoner's dilemma, and even though it's in the best interest for both to split, greed leads to irrational choices.

You’re wrong there it’s actually the first episode of series 2 (aired on 2nd January 2008) Alison was really horrible all through the game especially to the first player who was voted out Oly. There was another nasty bitter woman called Eileen too she was voted out second.
