I don't know, seems pretty simple to me. "Rascal" doesn't dream of "Bunny Girl Senpai" even once. It's right there in the name.
Bunny Girl Senpai is a way more normal show than Monogatari while it's inspired by that. Monogatari series is such a unique anime and absolutely pinnacle of character dialogs in any media. there is not a single character with a bad writing.
About why is it called "Rascal does not dream of Bunny girl Senpai"
In the Light novel series every novel has its title, "Rascal does not dream of" and then a description of the girl "Devil kouhai" "Logical witch" "dreaming girl" etc.
The first novel was "Rascal does not dream of Bunny girl Senpai" and so the title of the show.

05:38 Yes! Yes you do need to watch Monogatari!...But not yet. It's reliance on Japanese tropes, wordplay and abstract storytelling might still confuse you. I hope that doesn't sound condescending, but I don't want someone who's not ready, to be introduced to my favourite anime and then just not get it.
I have watched 2000+anime in my lifetime... dare i say i am closing in on 3K... Monogatari is a show that is among my top 10 for sure (probably) without even having to think about it too hard... sadly it is under appreciated since a bit of japanese understanding and immunity to lengthy dialogs is required to give it that extra oomph...

It's "monógátari". The pitch of the morae is: low-high-high-low-low.
Wdym, the title is perfect in showing how it's the theme of him actually meeting Mai and it not being all a dream, thus bringing it to the ending of episode 3 where he actually remembers.

C'mon Luke there's no mystery here. Sure Mai only wore a bunny girl suit to a library once but once is all it takes for her to be known as Bunny Girl Senpai forever. Think about it, if you walked around a library in a bunny girl outfit do you think you would be known as Luke ever again or would people think of you as that guy who wore a bunny girl suit to the library from that point on?

people telling you how "Monogatari" is pronounced are pissing me off, especially the guy who so confidently said that the first a is emphasized. There is no stress in japanese. no single syllable is more or less emphasized. you only change pitch

lol the Endless Eight joke. It's a spoiler but to explain simply: there's a certain arc in the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya that the studio who animated it, KyoAni, seem to want the audience to get first hand experience of by doing one of the most bonkers thing ever. If you ever get to watch the Haruhi Suzumiya anime and you get to that point where you'd experience that arc, I'm sure your viewers would forgive you if you decided not to go through the entire thing lol.
All Japanese "a" sounds are pronounced as in the first syllable of "father" rather than the first syllable of "hat." But there is little to no stress in Japanese, so putting stress on any syllable or making the vowel sound a schwa sound (those just barely pronounced vowels) will come out as sounding like it's from a non-Japanese accent. And really, the only time it matters is when you're trying to talk to a Japanese person, and you start to see this glassy-eyed look in your conversation partner as all your terrible mispronunciations make him loose any thread of coherence in his mind as you try to explain why you needed a laserdisc set of the ancient anime Goshogun when no working laserdisc players remain in the world. Which…ahem…has never happened to me, thank god.

Why say it doesn't feel like an anime... Why say it feels like a drama implying Anime is not allowed or should not be deep and feel right? Just like any other media Anime is diverse and can be compelling in different ways, wwhy would it be different from a book, a live action, a song or enything of the sort?... I always get somewhere in between sad and angry when people dismiss Anime by saying I do not like Anime... as if anime were a generic single 1 thing... Sure i can see people disliking most anime shows... i am just saying anime s a medium used to show so many different stories... there surely is something out there for everyone... It is just like when some other people say ... i don't like movies...
