Yeah, you don't appreciate that opposable thumb thing until it's gone. 😲 Tamiya's engineering has always been amazing -- that legs system is so slick. They should pay you for your videos showing how straightforward their instructions are. Thanks for sharing!
You are slowly becoming a legend amongst the Tamiya semi truck fan base....I personally have learnt tons from your vids. Stay safe and keep those vids coming..
Hi Bob. I watched this again so I could test the legs on my completed truck. I am using Beier electronics with an FSI6X remote. I finally found a use for the dial based channel 7 with the motorised legs. I am using that as I do not want to waste the stick channels. Best wishes Ray
Great video as always Bob I give you slot of credit finishing up with a broken thumb I broke mine and did nothing on my build two thumbs up to you bud hope you heal quickly
Thanks Bob great video. You always come out with a video I need at the right time. I just got the flatbed trailer and have the motorized support legs. also going to paint the trailer to match my globe liner.
I hope u're recovering soon..really like this kind of stuff tamiya specially..but sadly enough i cant afford..nevermind keep up the videos youre doing great..
Love your videos! Been watching them for a while. Just acquired a wedico 3 axle chassis and cab. Just posted a video a few days ago hauling it. Any suggestions on what gear to use to get in running?
Hi bob thanks for your videos, helped a lot with my first build. My question is the use of grand hauler fenders with motorized legs. I tried it with trailer and small screws that fasten hold down plate on mechanism to slide switch scratched up fenders. Is it possible to just space 5th wheel to use fenders or do I have to use 1/4 fenders as stated in manual?
That is an issue. Tamiya says in the instructions if you use a trailer then don't use the fenders. I usually shim up the rear plate or deal with the scratches.
where does the wire for the 5th wheel plug in on the mfc and does that wire come with legs and what channel does the servo wire connect on on the reciever.also is the 5th wheel that is modified a stock one or one that comes with the leg kit
Hope your Thumb heals completely. I've broken a few things in my life!! This is a cool addition. Not enough wires on these Rigs!! 😜 Seriously though, I'll be building my first 1/14th Rig in the next few Months, and I've been watching a lot of your Videos as a Primer. They have been invaluable! One suggestion if I may... When you're working on something that only takes up about a tenth of the screen, could you please zoom in more, for a better look? I'm an Old Fart trying to see it all on a Phone Screen. It would be most helpful. Thanks! 😉 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Hello do you answer questions i see all your videos...great videos... i have a kinghauler that shuts off when running usually when i turn..someone told me. It was because i use 20kg high torke servos.and pull to much power..what servos should i use????
Probably is the servo. Especially if you have 2 of them plugged into the MFC. If you do unplug the shift or 3rd Servo and see if that helps. If it does just plug the shift directly into your radio bypassing the MFC.
since adding the auto leg kit, the trailer scratch's my fenders. I tried adjusting the fifth wheel height, but seems it always does it. What is your solution? Maybe a info video. Also, I wonder if a feller could rig the auto leg kit to adapt to the Tamiya tow truck outriggers. Now that would be awesome. I enjoy your video's.
Unfortunately Tamiya actually says that you have to take the fenders off to use the motorized legs. I found that info on the side of my Grand Hauler box
You can just put some clear packing tape on the fenders and live with a few scratches. The tape helps.... Or jack up the 5th wheel plate with some spacers and add the same spacers to the bottom of the landing leg feet.
You could remove the entire section off to the right of the 5th wheel. Then add a second receiver and servo. Add some linkage to activate switches for the legs. Text me for a picture 727-515-0078
Hi Bob Another great video - thank you so much for all the effort. The threadlock you use for metal to metal fastners ... - How permanent is is? is it easy to reopen if necesary? - Is it just thick superglue (CA glue) or is it a different product? Stay well Ray
Hi Bob love your videos very in depth and very detailed, could you please tell me please I have fitted the beier sfr-1 to my scania r620 absolutely fantastic bit of kit. The time has come to get a trailer but could you tell me please do beier have there own motorised trailer legs or is there an alternative option Many thanks keep these videos coming

The video was perfectly fine. No need to redo it.
Shows devotion finishing the video with a broken thumb. Good job. Is there any one site for finding the trucks, trailers and all the accessories?
Excellent show
Great video, I hope you won’t need surgery after all!
I feel the trouble without a hand. Lacerated my left hand on the 25th of last month and i have lots of parts to put on my scale rigs but limited!

Great video
What color paint is that truck?
Tamiya TS-12
Will you be doing a build on a euro truck soon? I would love to see that. Great content by the way and nicely detailed.
Yes, just waiting for stock to come in. Tamiya is waaaayyy behind.
Hi Bob, how did you solder? Wrap the wire through the hole and twist the wire then solder or just solder a straight length of the wire?
Very cool video.sorry you broke your thumb.hope it heals fast for you.i have had broken bones and know how rotten they are.
Sehr gut 👍

Yep, lots of suggestions. My email is in the video description.

What Tamiya TS color is that on the rig? Looks beautiful.
Tamiya TS-12

The motorized leg kit comes with the servo mount and all other required parts for the truck. The servo would plug into the MFC in space J9.
what about the small wire with plug that is attached to the 5th wheel does that plug into the mfc also and where
That is the coupler switch and plugs into J12
Hope your Thumb heals completely. I've broken a few things in my life!!

Hi Bob
Another great video - thank you so much for all the effort.
The threadlock you use for metal to metal fastners ...
- How permanent is is? is it easy to reopen if necesary?
- Is it just thick superglue (CA glue) or is it a different product?
Stay well
Ray
The Tamiya kits all come with threadlock. They use bond that is not permanent so you can remove the fastener later if you need to.
I enjoyed a great video let's be friends.

Beier does not make legs but others do including LESU. You could use a Beier IR wireless trailer unit to control the legs and trailer lights
Is the kit strictly for the Tamiya trailer or could it be modified with any trailer?
It is for Tamiya trailers. Might be able to de modified for other brands but have not tried it myself.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC thanks 🤙🏽
I look ing all ur videos about rc tractor truck i whant king hauler but i down now were to buy dose stuff can you help me please
Hope your thumbs better 👍

Coupler... 5th wheel
Kit
It's called a 5th wheel, not a coupler .
