joao pedro Silva All you have to do is #Believe. I recently managed to 1cc the game on normal. While it was extremely difficult and tiring, it was undoubtedly very satisfying. Now all that's left for me is to beat Flandre :S
Lord Sithis I want to try other games so after beating Flandre, I'll move on to Perfect Cherry Blossom, where my goal is to 1cc the game on normal, and attempt to beat Ran and Yukari. Maybe at some point in the future I'll return to The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil to try to clear it on Hard or above, but for now I'd rather try out new games.
Sure thing, not a problem! Grazing is when you're character gets really close to a bullet, but not to the point that it kills you. It plays a role in the scoring system in most Touhou games. You will see the graze meter go up after surviving tight dodges or when streaming (as seen in the end of the stage portion of this video). The icon under it indicates the amount of point items you've collected. I hope I explained everything clearly. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like to know :D

I don't really play Touhou anymore, but I have well over two years of experience. If you really want that normal 1cc, you just need to be patient and grind it out.
I can't even keep track of your character in the video sometimes (and I lose sight of my own sometimes when I'm playing normal), it's really impressive that you can complete this. Bravo.

I'm using this as a guide to clear the Extra stage and I find it funny that Flandre's spellcards look rather simple but whenever I'm the one playing all the strategy I've thought of just disappears from my brain
This really helps. Some if the patterns get either downright confusing or blinding in the heat of the moment. Guess I just gotta grind extra stage a bit longer

lmao im kinda in the same boat. I stopped playing at around 2015 and picked the game (danmaku in general, really) back up recently. Was never able to 1cc even on Normal back then but now I've 1cc'd EoSD and PCB. dunno if i have the patience to grind out the Extras of both games though lol
You should still feel happy, not stupid at all. I was really happy the first time I cleared this stage, and it certainly was not a pretty run. A vanilla clear is a mandatory stepping stone for any further developments or specialized playthroughs. I think it's important to keep in mind, no matter what you do, that any goal is achieved by breaking it down into smaller steps. So good job getting that first clear in.

honestly playing through TH6 made me realize that the game isn't too hard, even without the visible hitbox. it's still a good challenge, don't get me wrong, but compared to the other games i feel like EOSD isn't too hard. my 1ccs of that game still suck tho lol
Fortunately it's static, so it'll never change. Thus, it boils down to muscle memory and pure practice. But even knowing that, it'll still clip you if you're not paying attention. And fyi: it is possible to capture it while staying below Flandre (bottom of the screen) the whole time.
@@maulerfranco666 That's true, I really enjoy learning static spells because it is just a matter of putting in enough practice and you can really see your progress. It really surprised me though, it feels so much faster when you do it yourself as opposed to watching a video! It does feel kinda bad slogging through half a difficult stage just to practice one spell, but it is extra after all, it's meant to be a bit of a challenge :)
so, 4 lives for this stage. around the same as TD, that's why i rate this hard. unlike HSiFS lol where you could get up to 8 lives (managed to only get 7) and you have OP release.

What exactly can be accomplished without time or patience? If you have goals other than Touhou, great, but they will still require your efforts. Some days I wish all the time I spent playing Touhou was put to something more useful like drawing. If I had, I'd be a halfway decent artist by now, wouldn't I? Do whatever inspires you, work hard at it, and you will see results.

Late reply but, from this response it seems you haven't or hadn't at the time played a touhou game though I may be wrong. Well you see about 60-80% of bullets on screen do not matter in danmaku games. They are there to for on look cool and to throw you off. What you have to do is focus on the bullets around your character which Is why good player don't move all to much. So all bullet he'll games are much easier than they look

Don't get discouraged. Learning and excelling at anything takes a goal, inspiration, motivation, grinding, grinding, and more grinding. It is a certainty that failures and setbacks will occur, but rest assured that it's all part of the journey and is a necessity. I believe this applies to just about everything, so keep trying your best, regardless what you choose to do.

The noise plays when the orb things making the bullet chains disappear and the bullets start coming in from the walls.

Only in MoF. The other games require you to collect a certain number of point items (PCB and IN) or heart pieces (SA, UFO, and 10D).

I tried the extra stage a lot, the best I ever got was the "Four of a kind" attack, most of my game overs was in the "Lavatein" attack

Of checking out TH15 stage 6 perfect video, I realize extra stage for TH6 is pretty simple more or less....
EOSD is hard because of the RNG that is involved with it.
That, and also the sluggish movements of the characters
