I JUST ANNOUNCED A NEW ALBUM & CONCERT! store.tiffanypoon.com/products/us-exclusive-new-album-preview-concert (sorry for the screaming in caps, I'm just excited to start a new chapter with you) ❤ Thank you for all of your very kind and sympathetic comments below. I've been reading and getting teary... 🥹
I was wondering what had happened. Finished watching just now. I enjoyed watching your thought processes, struggles and you rising above them. Such is life for all of us.
You are a master pianist! And also such a beautiful soul spreading joy and positivity to everyone who knows you. Thank you Tiffany ever since I began watching your videos over a year ago you have motivated me as a pianist, and as a person to stay kind and keep striving!! 💛
Yes, she really is. And she’s brilliant. To be out there on social media is so important to show coming generations the beauty of all these magical compositions that makes the world so much better.
Been watching you since your first vlog and as a viewer can say you’ve remained the same in your authenticity and passion for music and I truly admire that❤️ ❤️
Thank you for this great You-Documentary. It's so cool that your parents took tons of videos in your childhood, and that you continued doing so and share it along with all the deep thoughts. I can't even process all of it yet and will rewatch all of this later. You are a great example for anyone who feels like not fitting in. And you're a great example for a pioneer classical pianist, in an industry that will either change to the direction where you already are, or disappear.
This puts a lot more context on why you do what you do, what you stand for and what you strive to be. It's just lovely to hear your story - who you are as a person and as a classical pianist. Thank you so much! ❤
I started playing classical piano 5 years ago, and you were one of the people who helped start my journey. Even to this day I go back to a lot of those old performance videos and vlogs. You are not only an elegant and emotional classical pianist whose sound I can only dream of emulating, but for so many recordings, you are THE pianist for me. So many moments over the years that helped shape who I am. Thank you.
Hi Tiffany! I'm a "bedroom" pianist, and you've been a musical inspiration for me for the last (maybe) 6-7 years watching you on youtube. The energy you bring is so honest, and the same goes for your music - I think it's the pureness of the emotion that makes music timeless, and I am not worried about the impact you will have/already do in the music world and wider.
This is a very personal and generous invitation to your audience. Thank you for sharing so much. It must be quite a leap from being guarded to open and vulnerable. Bis bald in Deutschlands Konzertsälen!
Amazing video. Your love for music is raw, unfiltered and honest. I’ve one year until I’m a legal adult, and I had neglected my aspirations for so long… however, I honestly feel like pursuing music for real now. _Thank you so much, Tiffany!_ Keep reaching for new heights, and inspiring me and others to do the same!
What a wonderful summary of your life and the many challenges that you have faced and overcome. From “piano girl” to “TH-camr” to concert pianist. I look forward to following your journey for many years. Thank you!!
Watching your video is not just a musical experience of an artist, it’s an inspiring journey of passion, and the goal you chose and your dedication to pursuing it are truly admirable and worthy of praise and appreciation. keep up tiffany!
Tiffany, you are my favorite pianist. I love how you play with such passion, you are a beautiful soul and a talented, accomplished artist. i really enjoy listening to you play Chopin, it sounds so natural and organic as if you are channeling him. you are a great inspiration to many. Be kind keep striving!
I started following you in 2020 from a random yt recommendation. I quickly felt an interest in what you had to say and what you were trying to achieve as a person. I like most forms of music, but I haven't been a 'classical listener'. This last few weeks have been super stressful (turning into a good thing...), and I have started finding myself using more classical music to help settle me. It isn't hard to find that emotional connection with it if you give it an honest listen. I would attribute me finding that musical connection to you. So yes, at least in one person you have achieved that one goal. i am always grateful for your curiosity and sincere interest in improving the community. Thank you for sharing.
I cannot believe there was ppl ‘refused’ to call you a pianist?? I have been following since, earlier than 2019, which was a difficult time for me when an just started on the journey of striving to be a pianist, and I appreciated so much, when I was totally lost and doubting myself, there’s someone filmed out the journey and life of being a pianist, and I was so grateful that a real pianist like you was willing to do that, which was incredibly helpful to me, to a kid who struggled and lost, finally having a stream of lamplight in the dark way.
You are a gifted and naturally talented Classical musician, now turned professional pianist, but with a vital difference, namely a deep desire to communicate at a personal level. It’s something we, as followers really appreciate and relate to.
You are a quintessential, trained rigorously since childhood, classical pianist. Provided with many opportunities and chances to not only be a classical pianist but make a living from it.
Hello Tiffany. Just watched your new video yesterday. I was also born in Hong Kong and then moved to New York when I was growing up, though a bit later than you when I was a teenager. Even though you're much younger than me, I experienced the same cultural and identity struggles that you talked about in the video. My journey into the world of western classical music began when I had a chance encounter as a college student in New York. This chance encounter was actually from watching a Japanese TV series. In this TV series (spoken in Japanese but with English subtitles), I was captivated by a piece of piano music played whenever the main female character reminisce her late fiance. I wanted to know the composer of this piece of music that was so captivating to me when watching this Japanese TV series. After spending quite some time in the record store, I finally found out that this piano piece was the slow (but not too slow) section of the Chopin's Op. 10 No. 3. This chance encounter was enough to set off years of exploration of Chopin's music, then went on to exploring the rest of the western piano music, and the rest of the classical music repertoire. This also has set off my very late start to explore playing the piano!
Beautifully told, Tiffany! And congratulations on your album and management signing. I hope your career goes only upwards; everything you achieve will be fully deserved.
Poon's "Diaries" is a captivating journey through Schumann's intimate world. Her nuanced touch and insightful interpretations breathe new life into familiar pieces. "Kinderszenen" shimmers with childlike wonder, while "Davidsbündlertänze" explodes with passionate drama. Poon's elegant phrasing and effortless virtuosity make this recording a must-have for any Schumann enthusiast.
Do not ever doubt your talent as a truly fine pianist. I am now celebrating 70 years of playing and about to record two new CDs. We didn't have the networking capabilities back in my youth, and that is something I could really have used. You have those much needed skills to see what works in this media age, but again that does not distract us from the fact that you are a great pianist. Keep going, never give up!!!!!
Oh! Hi, dear Tiffany, I am from HK. I never know that you studied in the same primary school “Methodist school” in Kowloon as mine. I studied Violin in HK. Proud to have such a brilliant alumni ❤🎉🎉😊😊
You are a wonderful pianist. A sensitive, talented and creative young lady, sprinkled with a clear passion, direction and philosophy which has proved endearing over many years as we’ve watched you develop and conquering self-doubt along the way. My advice would be to not question yourself, be proud and stay humble. I had to privilege of attending your London debut back in May and it was a pleasure to meet you afterwards. Keep striving, be kind and Happy Holidays x
This video is a wonderful beautiful inspiring experience of art. The best hour I’ve spent in a while. You are a really great artist on the piano, as a storyteller and as a cinematographer. And still the only musician who inspires me to play Schumann. I look forward to more videos and seeing you again in San Francisco.
It's been quite some time since I last watched one of your videos. Like many other commenters, your humility and honesty have brought me back again and again over the years since just before the pandemic. By the way, I especially enjoyed watching your videos during the pandemic as I found them incredibly grounding for myself. Truly, you're pushing the classical music community, and yourself to keep striving (see what I did there?) to be the best version it can be. Having taken an aesthetics class myself in college, I remember my professor's thesis in that class was that art and philosophy are one in the same in that they aim to describe what it is to be human. Great art pieces meaningfully reflect something about the human experience. Your videos and performances well encapsulates that rich complex experience, and that is why I have bought your signed CD. I will leave on this note: Keep striving, always!
What a beautiful story of the journey that brought you to where you are today. This is one of the most uplifting and relatable things I’ve encountered in a long time, maybe ever, and it’s all masterfully told in an hour, which is time truly well spent. I deeply appreciate your decision to open up and be so vulnerable, documenting not only your navigation of the longstanding systemic, institutional, and cultural challenges in your field but also how it relates to your internal struggle to define your identity without confining yourself to restrictive labels. By doing so, despite the immense fortitude it requires, you really succeed at bringing human sensibilities to classical music, fulfilling a mission which you have so passionately dedicated to. I discovered you through your vlogs around July 2020, with one of the first videos I watched being the one featured here, where you're in the woods reflecting on the lessons you learned while taking a break from the piano. I sensed that you weren’t the type of person conforming to the narrow expectations of what it means to be a classical pianist, as you astutely described. Your authenticity as you forged this new path was indeed refreshing to see, a welcome innovation to help keep the art alive. While the fact that each of us is unique may seem mundane, the way you express your uniqueness is genuinely valuable. Amidst the changes and constants over the years, as you pursued your goals in developing both your artistry and yourself as a human being, staying true to who you are is a quality you should always keep. I laud your firmness in standing your ground against following trends for their own sake and in saying no to those who seek to profit from them at your expense. Okay, I may have come across some of your older, viral recital videos from several years ago (my memory is a tad hazy), but I didn’t give much thought to the personality (you) behind the performance back then. I have to admit that even I, an Asian and a lover of classical music since early childhood, may have harbored some of the frustrated, insecure, and prejudiced notions you mentioned here, that young prodigious talents must endure torturous routines under strict authoritarian oversight to reach that skill level. Having tried to play instruments as a child but lacking the grit to carry on, some of those stereotypes were internalized in me as an unhealthy coping mechanism. Your journey though, as you’ve openly shared, has been crucial in helping me dispel those cynical and insecure thoughts. It has not only inspired me to cultivate a more positive, empathetic outlook toward others but has also reignited my desire to play music again. The idea behind your motto, "Be kind. Keep striving," has given me hope and helped me look forward to another day, even when existential thoughts and doubts cloud my sense of self and the direction I’m headed. These are just a few examples of how your work has enriched my life, besides the music itself, of course. You have undoubtedly had a positive impact on many people's lives through the stories you’ve shared, among other things, and it is as real as it gets. You told us this is just the beginning. I am excited to continue following you along your musical odyssey, eager to discover new works and their various aspects from you, as you broaden your horizons in the years and decades to come. PS: Sorry for the long essay. I missed your videos here on TH-cam and was really touched by what you brought to us upon your return. Welcome back!
I enjoyed this video a lot. It's interesting to take a deep dive into your childhood and follow your musical journey. I understand how piano has bought you great strength and tremendous joy when everything else around seems to mean absolutely nothing. Thanks so much for sharing Tiffany. Thank you.
She most definitely is a classical pianist. A great one. I've used your piano performances in some of my lessons as an example of how to play well. Thanks.
Just bought your vinyl, i never listen Schumann so i think that this is the perfect way to discover his music by your playing! Thank you for everything!
For me, you have always been a down to earth and most approachable classical pianist in the first place, and a wonderful youtuber, second. And that is what makes you a great classical musician and a lovely human being!
No worries. You are a classical pianist :-) We saw you at Kissinger Sommer a while ago. You played the piano, it was classical music and you had a full house. We wish you the best for your success. Greetings from Germany.
@@TiffanyPoonpianist , i am still watching your video and it seems to give me an insight to the head of my son, who plays also piano quite passionate...classical music kids make a difference...and we will surely attend one of your concerts again, when you are around in Germany. We still have the picture of you and my kids standing on the shelf, which we made last time
I believe people genuinely love you, Tiffany.❤ not just as a pianist, but also as a fellow human being 😊 Thank you for sharing your music and your life with us.
Tiffany, I can't stop crying watching your video. I don't know if you're going to read my comment, but I've been watching your vlogs since 2019 and you're the one who made me not give up on my pianist career. At that time I was really depressed, and one day I found one of your vlogs. I felt really inspired because I've always wanted to make videos like yours, so I felt like I was not alone. I ended up being a music major at one of the best universities in my country and I'm really grateful for you 💙 I still have the dream of making vlogs but I don't want it to look like i'm copying you. Thank you for everything, for inspiring people and making me feel better in my career 💙
Really happy things are going well for you. You are a pleasure to follow and I often share your videos with my music students because they show so much of the personal struggle as well as the musical one. “Be kind and keep striving”… a great motto for anyone. All the best
I had that feeling as well, being isolated from "normal" by loving classical music. After so many years I just decided to think classical music is history. Good music survives, no matter what category it is in. So I call myself a music lover and that helped me a lot. As a music lover, I should thank you for sharing your journey. From the first point I got to know you from Liebestraum, it's been a previlege to follow your thoughts and efforts to humanize, maybe even vitalize classical music world. Schumann's Davidbundlertanze is now my favorite piece of him thanks to you and I'm really enjoying your album. I will keep striving, so please carry on so that one day I could see you in real world, real stage.
Hey Tiffany! I just wanted to say that I'm a big fan! Watching this was really heartfelt and inspiring! It's so amazing to see just how dedicated, purposeful, passionate you are in your musical journey :)
It is truly remarkable that you have finally achieved the dream you have cherished since you were five years old, through 22 years of dedication and passion. The countless hours, challenges, and perseverance you have poured into your journey shine brilliantly through your music and your smile. I sincerely hope that your music will touch the hearts of people all over the world and lead you to even greater dreams. May the sound of your piano continue to move many hearts, delivering hope and joy to those who listen🕊 I wish you a bright future and for your musical journey to become even more extraordinary. With heartfelt congratulations, I look forward to seeing your new challenges and achievements. Congratulations from the bottom of my heart! 🎉 I will continue to send you applause and support for your music and your dreams!
I still remember stumbling across one of your vlogs, many years ago. It's been a fun and amazing journey. And in those years, I've learned a lot, and not just about music or Schumann, but so much more and for that, I am grateful. And I am happy that you were able to disprove the naysayers. Here's to more music, more kindness, more striving and more concerts in the years to come! 🥂
Been watching your videos since 2009 or earlier, plus we share the same birthday too! When I first saw your TH-cam, I thought you were just another piano prodigy then and looked up to you but it felt so distant then since you were so good. After you started your vlogs, they’re very relatable, shows us that you are also human and face the same insecurities and emotions like any of us. I really love your old video of you playing Liszt Liebesträume, your playing makes me emotional, hopefully one day, I can play it too. Started following you on Instagram too since Covid and you really inspire me to pick up piano again. Also enjoyed your concert when you came to Singapore. Love your sharing of your life and thoughts, please keep sharing, it’s shows us that you are human too. I will continue to support you, it felt like we are growing up/old together with you😊
Aw wow, thank you for following along and growing up with me together 🤗 I remember my Singapore debut - you and the audience were so sweet. Hope to be back!
What a wonderful documentary about your journey to now. I have been following you since your early days. For your followers and people who attend your concerts based on your vlogs, I would say you brought more people into the classical world - more than would have normally be following classical. BUT. I do see what you are saying - in the professional world of classical, you explain it very well the dichotomy of them wondering how serious you were. You have achieved much and I applaud you. Few of us would ever know what it is like to achieve this and has been so great to folllow you and experience it through you. Selfishly, I would want you to continue with vlogging - or maybe at least the get ready with me ones. If it interferes with your career then... understand. On the other side of the same coin, you might want to watch some of the interviews with Andre Rieu (who I have followed for years and love him) where he is opposite. He was raised in the serious classical world and broke away to just play the music that brings him joy, and through that, he has an immense audience. He has received sharp criticism from the serious classical world for deviating and was disowned by his own family over that choice. Like him - whichever brings you the most joy is what you must pursue.
What a journey! I first discovered you through your TH-cam videos when I was often home alone during the pandemic. Your refreshingly genuine videos helped me weather that difficult time. I always thought of you as a great and talented classical pianist, not just a video creator. I believed you had what it takes. Although there were some bumps along the way, you kept striving and deserve all your success! Thank you for your Schumann interpretations. I love your album, Diaries! I was fortunate enough to attend one of your concerts this year and hope to do the same in 2025. 😊
Hi Tiffany, you are one of my favourite pianists! I feel for you for those doubts and perception people have on you. ❤❤ You are really amazing, never let anyone dim that light of yours! I love your playing and most of all, love your character and personality. Thank you for being so transparent about the classical music industry and about chasing your dreams of being a classical pianist and the hard work and effort that comes with it. ❤ May God continue to bless you in every way possible, and all the best in your musical journey! With many thanks and love for a pianist like you, Jasmine
I loved everything about this video ! There's so much I relate to. First of all the lack of appreciation for classical music (especially among people our age), and feeling like an outcast for liking classical music and playing piano. But I feel like it gave you the courage to be "awkward" to be different. In a way, to just truly be yourself ! It was definitely the case for me. I feel like nowadays we can often be met with mockery when we are passionnate about things, especially for non-mainstream interests, so your story is really inspiring. I also agree that the sensationalization of classical piano has kind of saturated the Internet classical space and it's permeated in real life (I swear if I hear one more kid asking me to play Rush E...) By the way I would love to attend one of your concerts one day. I just saw Bruce Liu live last week and it was nothing short of life-changing.
I've been listening to the album all year and it feels very fresh to me. I like it. I'd say there's a lot of honesty in it, the courage of discovery, a strong connection to the author's work and something like a desire to express hidden feelings and thoughts.
I've been listeninig to classical music for a long time, more than 20 years. Mostly it was a music of those most famous composers, but also some less popular, like Scriabin or Szymanowski. But not much of Schumann's. I don't know why. Of course I know Kinderszenen, Arabeske, but the music did not move me... until this year when I found you on YT channel. I heard you talking about Schumann, studying his scores, playing his music and giving concerts. His music sounds in most of your posts/vlogs and it sounds beautiful. The more I listen to it the more I understand it and can feel deep emotions in his music. Which also encouraged me to learn more about Schumann, search for books about him, his music and his life. And this is all because of you and your attitude to his music. You dedicated many years of your life to Schumann. And it cannot be a coincidence. I think you met Robert Schumann before, in one of your previous lives. I'm pretty sure about that! Hugs from Poland ❤❤❤
You are an influencer who also happens to also be a classical pianist. After not playing piano for over 50 years, your videos inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming the first senior citizen protegee. I bought a piano last February and can't even play at your 5-6 year old stage level yet. It's going to be a long haul but it's about the journey, not the destination. Nice to see you back. You haven't posted in a while.
@@rinardman So do I and only an utter fool would think she is not. But her career path is being blocked and that is the excuse they are using. She is a TH-cam populist, a no-no in that world where you must kneel to the powers that be. There must be a major orchestra conductor out their who is daring enough to invite her to perform a concerto. That would help to open things up for her. Tiffany isn't the only one hitting that wall and complaining about it. Just go around the wall.
Actually, there's no wall anymore because I now have Askonas Holt, the elite classical management that I was reacting to at the end of this documentary. I'm on the same artist roster as the most renowned classical musicians I've looked up to since I was young.
Hi Tiffany, as piano student that has a dream to become a concert pianist and a good musician (like you) you are huge inspiration for me, I really admire listening to your interpretations and see how you keep striving trough music no matter what. I just want to say thank you for sharing your musical journey as a real human being and a very good classical pianist😊🙏🏻💗
You are amazing. I was always jealousy of ur talent. But I see about your past and all progress, and you are a really hardwork woman. I was one the people who thought being gifted was enough.. But it's not. It's a long road you take to realize it. Don't stop being the good pianist you are.
Wow i enjoyed the whole video so much. You are really special Tiffany. I so like all of youre video´s. Shumann is awesome, but so are you. i can only imagine how much he would like that you play his work... I think he would really apriciate that you make his music populair again. Tiffany it is you who makes you famous. You have so much fans because you are a nice person people like you, And you are a amazing pianist. Thanks for doing what you do. There are always haters but they are not worth it to pay any atention. I have been to youre concert in Amsterdam and it was beautifull. I have been to a lot of concerts in my life but that concert was the best in my whole life.
Damn I wish I started sooner, it's been almost seven years for me. You truly are a special and profound person as a classical pianist, I admire you greatly for the forseable time to come!
This is an amazing video - only half way through. I love how you accept who you are and did at an early age. That process took me 40 years. Anyways, thanks for sharing!
This was so engaging and well made! It's so interesting to hear more about your story and the way you reflect back on it. Tiny Tiffany is so cute :) Congratulations and wishing you all the best for the future
My daughter shared a similar childhood. As an intelligent, sensitive female, she felt very outside as her interest in science, math and music put her out of the 'mainstream.' Fortunately, as the harpist in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, she found some other people with similar backgrounds, but, it wasn't until she arrived at Harvard that she met 'other people just like me!" Now, as a fully integrated adult she is a practicing physician and continues to play the harp on a very high level. "Classical" music is....elitist music that requires concentration, intelligence and sensitivity that popular music doesn't often offer. It's protein and vitamins, not sugar! I am so glad, Tiffany, that you are sharing your thoughts. BTW, the Cleveland is not only more and more female, but many of the fine musicians are Asian...not abused by tiger moms either!
Double, triple, quadruple likes! I love your elegant, yet plain and deep narrative. Such an inspiration for me, truly! I learned to appreciate Schumann via your videos, and I also learned to appreciate Chopin via Annique Göttler's videos. Kudos to both of you!
You may not see this but thank you for being my inspiration :) I’m a 14 yr old and I want to be a great pianist someday like you. Thank you for inspiring me ❤. I can’t tell you how happy I was when you posted again :)
I LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU! You have given me so much! The way you play is breathtaking. You are one of the very few that understand the emotion of pieces. You don't play the pieces, you ARE the pieces! I have cried so many times silently, purely based on HOW you play these pieces. They immediately come to life, hidden emotions fully exposed. Many others are just piano playing robots to me. But you know how to touch the emotional essence of pieces. You are blessed and I love you.
Whenever I get discouraged, which is of course often, I remember my personal mantra: It's just a machine, It does nothing without a human being. Everyone that's ever sat on the machine I want to tell you that I see you and appreciate you even though I may sometimes forget.
Tiffany love your music, I took up the piano at 62(now 69), wish I was a s good as you. Keep playing, I love practicing every day for at least 2 hours. I did take piano for one year when I was 11, but gave it up, wish I hadn't because it's a lot harder as you get older, your brain doesn't work as fast for co-ordination. Never the less love music and get great pleasure from practicing.😊😊😊😊
Wow, now I know what took you so long to release this production, it is huge! It took me some days to understand yor full story, thank you so much for sharing and for all your statements. For short, for me you are more than a classical pianist, you are a fascinating artist (and human) and a precious ambassador for the classical music. I am so happy that you have overcome your low in 2022 and your career is revving up now and I am so sorry that I was not there in 2022 to help you. Yes, and I hope we will meet one day. I wish I could be in Michigan next February but I live in Europe 😢 P.S.: The cover is so crazy good. PP.S.: Tiffany, do you take some vacation? I mean, please look after yourself 😊
Hi Tiffany, I'm very happy you decided to make the record on my Birthday!! November 11th :-)
Sorry for the re-upload. I had to fix an audio glitch which one of you helped point out 🙏 I'm just a pianist 🙃
A beautiful pianist ❤
ok
I was wondering what had happened. Finished watching just now. I enjoyed watching your thought processes, struggles and you rising above them. Such is life for all of us.
Of course, you are a beautiful pianist. You are a classical pianist. 😊 I can't understand how somebody could doubt it...
You are a master pianist! And also such a beautiful soul spreading joy and positivity to everyone who knows you. Thank you Tiffany ever since I began watching your videos over a year ago you have motivated me as a pianist, and as a person to stay kind and keep striving!! 💛
It’s amazing how you went from my favourite pianist to my favourite human full stop. Never stop Tiffany we all love u
Video was so well put together that I did not skip a second of it.
It really is, great editing.
One of the finest, most sensitive, freshest voices in classical piano music!
I agree and Trump would too, bigley!
Connotatively, on a scale from influencer/entertainer to pianist/artist, you're an 9 for me, and the fact that this video exists is a bold statement.
That means a lot. Thank you for respecting who I am and strive to be.
You’re truly special. Much respect, Tiffany.
Yes, she really is. And she’s brilliant. To be out there on social media is so important to show coming generations the beauty of all these magical compositions that makes the world so much better.
Without TH-cam, I probably would not know who you are. You've reached a lot of people through this and we're glad you did .
Been watching you since your first vlog and as a viewer can say you’ve remained the same in your authenticity and passion for music and I truly admire that❤️ ❤️
Yes, yes she is, a really great one
Thank you. I like your label "bedroom pianist" That sounds cozy, playing for yourself :) Hope you'll continue to feel inspired.
@ E! Thank you ☺️
This is a very personal and generous invitation to your audience.
I always see you as a classical pianist, who also fortunately (fortunate for us) to be a cameraman- that’s probably a better word.
"Imagine the haters as a derpy banana" is like the youtube comment version of "Imagine the audience naked"
This is wonderful! I loved the longer format exploration. And I absolutely love your album! 🎶
You are a gifted and naturally talented Classical musician, now turned professional pianist, but with a vital difference, namely a deep desire to communicate at a personal level. It’s something we, as followers really appreciate and relate to.
You're an inspiration Tiffany :) and one of the reasons I also love Schumann's Kinderszenen so much
Thank you. I'm so glad - that was one of my goals. Hope you'll continue to love the music I record next... 🥹🙏
@ 🥰
Thank you. I hope so, too! 🤞🕊️
Been such a long time fan and being able to see this video is inspiring me to play again. Thank you for continuing to share your love with others!
Love to read your post and your dedication to classical music...thank you🙏
You are a wonderful pianist.
I love your personal vision and determination, Tiffany!
💪🙇🏻♀️🙏
Congratulations on this new album!! 👏👏👏
"Just a pianist" she says, after an hour long video demonstrating all those different fascinating facets of your personality...
I always enjoy hearing more about your journey with the piano and classical music.
Thank you for your very personal and intimate words. I love your honesty and sincerity 🥰
I enjoyed this video a lot. It's interesting to take a deep dive into your childhood and follow your musical journey. I understand how piano has bought you great strength and tremendous joy when everything else around seems to mean absolutely nothing. Thanks so much for sharing Tiffany. Thank you.
Loved this retrospective on your career! Thanks for sharing your life and music with us.
I remember the first few Tiffany Vlogs
P.S. I love this top in the video (2:50). It's very cute!!
P.P.S. I've never seen you as anything but a classical pianist... even back then haha.
my prefinals end tomorrow, and i cant wait to finally watch this!
Aw, thank you. Good luck!! 📝🤓
She most definitely is a classical pianist. A great one. I've used your piano performances in some of my lessons as an example of how to play well. Thanks.
Much continued success on your journey! Thanks for sharing so much with us!
Oh wow, thanks for coming to that. Life and career are both so different from that time... Hope to return to play again in Germany :)
@@TiffanyPoonpianist , i am still watching your video and it seems to give me an insight to the head of my son, who plays also piano quite passionate...classical music kids make a difference...and we will surely attend one of your concerts again, when you are around in Germany. We still have the picture of you and my kids standing on the shelf, which we made last time
I believe people genuinely love you, Tiffany.❤ not just as a pianist, but also as a fellow human being 😊
Thank you for sharing your music and your life with us.
Don't think of it as copying Tiffany, think of it as being inspired by Tiffany. Then make your own unique vlogs.
I think she would approve of that. 🤗
@rinardman yeah, thank you!
May the sound of your piano continue to move many hearts, delivering hope and joy to those who listen🕊
I wish you a bright future and for your musical journey to become even more extraordinary. With heartfelt congratulations, I look forward to seeing your new challenges and achievements.
Congratulations from the bottom of my heart! 🎉
I will continue to send you applause and support for your music and your dreams!
I don't know why, but this unexpectedly really moved me. I'm very happy for you, and I want to buy your album! Good luck with it.
May God continue to bless you in every way possible, and all the best in your musical journey!
With many thanks and love for a pianist like you,
Jasmine
I loved everything about this video ! There's so much I relate to. First of all the lack of appreciation for classical music (especially among people our age), and feeling like an outcast for liking classical music and playing piano. But I feel like it gave you the courage to be "awkward" to be different. In a way, to just truly be yourself ! It was definitely the case for me. I feel like nowadays we can often be met with mockery when we are passionnate about things, especially for non-mainstream interests, so your story is really inspiring.
I also agree that the sensationalization of classical piano has kind of saturated the Internet classical space and it's permeated in real life (I swear if I hear one more kid asking me to play Rush E...)
By the way I would love to attend one of your concerts one day. I just saw Bruce Liu live last week and it was nothing short of life-changing.
So well done ! ...What an incredible journey ! Thanks so much for sharing ! Looking forward to your performance in Grand Rapids, Michigan ! Woo HOO !
Thank you! How about Michigan? store.tiffanypoon.com/products/us-exclusive-new-album-preview-concert
Congrats on the album release, and the gradual way your career seems to be taking off!!
I've been listening to the album all year and it feels very fresh to me. I like it. I'd say there's a lot of honesty in it, the courage of discovery, a strong connection to the author's work and something like a desire to express hidden feelings and thoughts.
Thank you. That was definitely my goal.
I must respectfully disagree. I think of Tiffany as a world-class Classical pianist who happens to be an internet influencer. 🤔
Congrats! Can't wait🤩
Well done. Got your back, and keep being you. I love listening to your music
Inspiring Tiffany 👏💫
Congrats 🎉🎉🎉 Tiffany on this session where you shared your unfoldment. Keep up the amazing work kind regards Mr Robinson
That Mozart k545 was so good! Congratulations on the album 🎉
The way you know Tiffany is being serious is when she sits on top of her piano and starts to talk to you. 😋😂😘
Double, triple, quadruple likes! I love your elegant, yet plain and deep narrative. Such an inspiration for me, truly! I learned to appreciate Schumann via your videos, and I also learned to appreciate Chopin via Annique Göttler's videos. Kudos to both of you!
You. Are. Great.
Thank you for the great advice.
3:42 “Even if you have to fight against the wind”
You may not see this but thank you for being my inspiration :) I’m a 14 yr old and I want to be a great pianist someday like you. Thank you for inspiring me ❤. I can’t tell you how happy I was when you posted again :)
Aww I did see this 🥹 That's so sweet! Best of luck to you! 🎹
Fantastic documentation, i enjoyed every second of it. Tiffany rocks!
Very well done! Thank you for sharing your story.
I didn’t know I was waiting for this, but I was so baaaadly !!
I love listening to your album! And it has one of my favourite booklets! It would be great to hear you live someday.
Greetings from Germany
Whenever I get discouraged, which is of course often, I remember my personal mantra: It's just a machine, It does nothing without a human being. Everyone that's ever sat on the machine I want to tell you that I see you and appreciate you even though I may sometimes forget.
Beautiful, thank you
A very lifely editing - well done!
Thank you for sharing/providing more clarity on your journey. It is a beautiful and touching story.
I wish I could be in Michigan next February but I live in Europe 😢
P.S.: The cover is so crazy good. PP.S.: Tiffany, do you take some vacation? I mean, please look after yourself 😊
Thank you for being the pianist and the Tiffany Poon you just are!
And for me, it was always crystal clear that you are a real musician since I heard your music for the first time.
Thank you for helping me develop an ear for Schumann!
Congratulations. You did it. Cheers!
Welcome back again!
🙈🙏 Welcome back again!
