Hello! I just want to let you know that i absolutely love your videos! I just recently got my first baby crested gecko, but he is really having a hard time shedding. I put him in a sauna, but he is soo jumpy that i can’t try and take the shed off with a qtip or lightly with tweezers because he just won’t stay still. It looks like the shed is stuck especially on his left back leg and it’s making it difficult for him to walk. Not sure what I should do
hi! Thank you for the comment! So our next video will be domewhat based off of this. If you can leave the sauna you made in the geckos terrarium. Cresties just need that slight boost of humidity to help them shed. 99% of the time as long as temps and humidity are good, they should be able to shed just fine on their own.
@@Guardiansofthegeckos okay great! The temp has been stable around 73-75 just because of the room temp of my house. I spray the cage heavily at night and some in the morning, but I have heard some people talk about a “drying out period” during the day to keep from mold growing. However when i do this sometimes the humidity gets as low as 30-40 before i spray again and I’m just not sure if that is good for the gecko.
Hello, I have a question. Do all females lay eggs? I heard female crested geckos lay eggs even if they aren’t fertilized. I have a tailless crested gecko that has no bulge, but I’ve never seen it lay eggs before.
