+chainz983 You're part right. The emulator is one reason but the biggest is that the version you traditionally hear everywhere is a remix ZUN did later. In Mystic Square's music room he has music from all five PC-98 games there and all of them are updated tracks. For the most part it's slight changes however Bad Apple in particular stands out cause he added a bunch more notes to the tune. Also the difference in quality to the Highly Responsive to Prayers soundtrack is crazy.

Stay behind her for the part where she is throwing tiles at you. Before she throws a sythe or the tiles at you, stay at the upper corner. Then slowly work your way to the other corner. This way, the tiles and sythe (and bullets if you're playing on Lunatic) will fly safely behind you. This strategy is even more helpful when you're playing on Lunatic.

Some uploads has missing instruments, like this video, this is because of the sound configuration on the emulator. The one uploaded by RubixNG is what the music supposed to be.
Strange how different this sounds compared to other rips of Bad Apple's music. There's a different bass drum, there's a kind of rimmer sound going on, and a lot of the sounds seem to be erased in favor of prioritizing the sounds (likely due to limited channels)
Come MS, MUN released all PC-98 tracks in that games music room, in doing so a good number of older songs sounded slightly different (especially the oldest HRtP songs). I'm not sure what he changed about them, or why exactly, but said arrangements would go onto be the standard and when he released the songs as CDs on his Akyu's Untouched Score albums

No I am actually here for the game, this video helped me learn that Elly can't be damaged in her first phase Up until now I have been holding shoot and trying to stay under her even during that phase, lol
touhou 4 , 5 is best in all games series bullet hells, but it is my opinion, no shit small hitbox, no forcefuly predicted patterns, and in end hellish feeling you beat really strong foes.
No joke, Mystic Square is pretty much my favorite in the entire franchise. It felt like it both LLS and MS got the formula down pat on the PC-98. Not to mention both games had such a memorable soundtrack. And god, I love that fight against Shinki so damned much!! :D I like the direction the modern games have. But not gonna lie, I miss the PC-98 era too.
LLS would've been good if it wasn't for the annoying, random lag. it's fun on easy but gets kind of annoying on normal. the extra stage is insane to try for the first time, and i died at the white orb midboss, but won't go back to it. won't bother with hard or lunatic. the music is decent, but would sound way better with modern instruments. some aspects that havent aged well in this game imo
This stage is an absolute cakewalk on easy, and isn't too bad on normal, but it gets annoying on the boss fight. i'll comment my full opinion on the game under one of these walkthroughs eventually. it's a decent game that's better than 1, 2, 3 but has stuff that hasn't aged well like the random annoying lag
tbh, old touhou (pc98) was more creative, like the the scythe throwing, even those small attack details and such were nice. on the windows era, its just characters changing sprites while randomly sending bullets. (except nue, she literally was designed to shoot bullets from her red n blue arm/tails?)
