Wendi, thank you so much for this video. I have one of those things for my regular foot and one for my walking foot. I could never figure out how to get them to stay put. There isn't a set screw like with yours. So today I figured out you have to push it into a little slot. Now I can make straight lines. Who knew? Thanks again! :-)
Well - there's not really an easy way. I would use masking tape and sew right along the edge. That's how I lay down my starter line if I'm not starting along an existing seam. It works well - and it's not hard - but it means laying whatever you're working on flat and taping every row. I also just eyeball things a lot. :-)
Hi there Wendi, I was wondering if you know what the tool is called? I'm also going to get the right footer to hold the tool. It would sure help me a lot! Thanks!
I’ve been using a clear ruler with tape, pushing it in front of the foot. This will be a big improvement. Impressive work. Thank you so much.
Sewist meet do-hickey….
Glad to meet you!!!👍🏻

thank you again! great camera work, and always clear instructions.
Thank you so much! I was intimidated by this mysterious tool until your helpful video!
Thanks Wendi. I completely forgot I had one of those guides!
You can just flip it around and put it in the other way. The curve bends up instead of down, but it still works as a good guide.
Perfectly explained! Thank goodness, you are so encouraging!
Do they make these same attachments that attach on the right side also?
Thank you I will certain try this

I think it's just called a quilting guide.
Awesome thanks!
How do you get straight lines if you don't have one of those there do hickeys?
I think I had three different machines before I figured out what that thing was. :-)
Thank you, finally I know. What's it called
You're welcome. :-)
Oh and to respond to a previous post, it is "ambidextrous" so it can go on the right or left side.
Thank you Wendi!
Thanks. :-)
