this was definitely a very useful video for me. I may not be that good at dodging yet but i always try to play safe at the beginning and worrying about stacks so i end up lvling up my e as my first ability x) thank you for showing us matchups against champions like vlad and vex
Yeah, I always tell people that focusing on stacks early game actually makes you have less stacks by the end of the game. Try to get a lead through playing the lane well, that way you can be strong enough to stack champions later :P
What makes me hesitate to W in so much is mostly the fear of getting ganked, like everytime I try to play aggro on Aurelion, I wait for the CC ability, I go in with W but most of the time I just get ganked
@@tomasgomes Watching the video I tried to look at his warding or else, and he doesnt seem to do specific things, so I guess it just comes down to knowing ganks timings. It is true tho that he plays towards where his jungler is
@@pumpking1278 warding is tricky, especially if you're being pushed in, but I usually like to ward between the river and enemies' raptor if I have a window to do so. I also tend to ward the side my jungler is moving towards.

Okay so years ago me and a friend used aurelion sols voice for a psychedelic trance track and asol has always been my favorite just lore wise but he was so bad imho to play... This new asol fits the lore so much better and i prefer him than the old one ... Since i started playing again a few weeks ago after months of not playing i picked him up and 9/10 games i play him... Absolutely amazing ❤️ Song title: Indigo force-Aurelion sol (only exists on SoundCloud)
As a pretty new player to league, and new to Asol I found this video extremely helpful and learned a lot new tricks to incorporate into my games, thanks!
im still trying to learn asol and i thought ive gotten a handle on him, but this video BLEW MY MIND. its so educational and i already cant wait for me to try these strategies when i get to play league again sometime this week !! keep it up sol :D
i suscribed to you since the first time i saw your vids, your tips and advices about asol have been really useful for me even with the fact i cannot play really often.. i hope to keep watching your vids in the future my man! cheers beast!
Sol, thank you for your videos. I did a mid lane with Yone and it was a great match! Whenever he ghosted forward i would W backwards and burn him back into his body hahaha.
I really liked the video, it was surprisely useful. Keep up with the content! I just would like to know if the fizz the matchup is the same as talon, or something like this, the fizz matchup is really hard ngl. Hugs from Brazil! ❤
Okokok what I was struggling with the most was knowing when I could get the whole Q charge off where u get a stack + extra damage. Felt like they would always walk out of it in landing phase even w no boots
I thought Asol got turned into one of the most braindead champions in the game after the rework, but this shows there's still a lot of positioning and decision making involved in order to play him well
@@leeroyj7300 none of this is skill it's just knowledge, Aur gameplay is braindead but that's not the point of the video. most of the time in 1v1 you can just WERQ and win by just holding Q. it's only in teamfight you need to use your brain
Now I can proove to my shaco that aurelion sol is not the weakest lvl 1 champion and that he could gank me and that my gank setup is not that bad, Thanks man
Wow bro ur channel grew! I came back to check on you but not only did your channel grow but you fkin look buffed up compared to before have u been training? You look great brother
Ver useful tips. I subscribed because I wanted to learn to play asol. I wonder how you play against a yone or akali, that's a matchup I never know play against
Hey there, Old Asol enjoyer, but can't figure out new Asol What is the reason behind the Q taps? Aren't you just risking a self-stun for like 4 damage?
Man i have such a mental block from taking scorch, probably one of the reasons im not high elo. I just hate the value. I know its strong early but it falls off so fast it kills me. Makes me feel like im pressured to win early on a scaling champ
Yeah in this video I show matchups that you can get prior in. Yone is one of those matchups where you have to concede prio and go for occasional q taps and q holds. But you just wanna play safe in that lane.
Hi sol I'm the 14 years old kid if you remember me i just want to ask you if you can do another coaching video because it's really helping me in my games
Focus on playing the lane, getting trades, and securing cs. You shouldn't focus that much on stacks early as they tend to ramp up in the mid - late game anyways. Priotize trades over stacks in lane.
@lolSol obviously strong prio mages are a problem for early game asol. My largest problems have been the all in champs. Usually vs mages if you dodge skill shots can win the lane.
Malz is kind of a neutral lane. Q tap to break his shield. Walk up and Q hold if he uses his silence. Hang back and stack his minions with E. Wait for gank.
Even if its just a little damage it can lead to big chunks over a long period of time. Also procing ur mana flow is good even if it doesn't do much dmg.
I will def. Try it this out. I usually go for his e and always play Passively and scale late game. Just quick question though, why don't you go for tear early?
Syndra using her stun aggressively TWICE in the same sequence while being in lethal range is honestly embarrassing. If I played how that guy played, I’d fully expect to be reported and lose my account for that. Guess some servers are a bit less challenging 😅
If you play asol, you are about 2 ranks lower than what youre actually placed. He is the most elo inflating champ in the game, which is the only reason i reached diamond this season. He is so absolutely braindead op and easy to use its ridiculous
This is literally not true, I tried playing him midlane and got stomped by Irelia. Comet misses literally all the time. In your example you're showcasing half afk ppl or low elo. I was out here losing in low gold.
Yeah, really good advice to follow against a Xerath not touching one Q, a Lux or Trist standing still lvl 1, a Vlad or Syndra doing a lvl 1 face check - after you got time to arrive - or a Vex literally standing still when you Q. And against real opponents, neither bots nor iron (nor friends helping you do a video), what do you advise?

Ward correctly and stay closer to the side of the lane where you have that ward. Also look at where your jungler is, try to stay close to him.

oh man, thank you so much for this and the big "guide".
Oh shit, I didn't realize Q just straight up doesn't aggro minions. Can't wait to go play some Asol again
Its ACTUALLY a big game changer!
This basically how you bully lanes as Rumble since his Q and E doesn't agro minion and that one of the thing that make him so strong in lane
Well said excited for full guide
Great video. I was reviewing your astral glide games and was surprised to see garg stoneplate so often. Is that the secret tech or what?
Just testing it right now, hourglass feels kinda bad on asol so garg might be the new tech lol

extremely useful video, thank you sol
thing is players in low elo actually are positioned often BEHIND the minions so you rarely ever get angles to Q them
I used the rework Asol to climb from gold to emerald, I have a ton of games played with him and it’s crazy I never thought to take Q level 1. 🤯
no offence but that means you're bare min 4 divisions higher than you truly are, asol is easily the most elo inflating champ rn
@@a_fake_koala2528 none taken. The new emerald tank is a very bloated division anyway. Basically high golds to low diamonds in there now.
Imma try this in my next asol game, just started to learn him and i have been struggling in the laning phase

what does the q tapping do?
it procs comet and baits them to use cc

@lolSol obviously strong prio mages are a problem for early game asol. My largest problems have been the all in champs. Usually vs mages if you dodge skill shots can win the lane.

Im mad late to this video but that syndra at got baited by her zac so hard. if he waited in the bush he cc's asol and kills
what's your gameplan against a malz lane matchup?
Probably the same since its really easy to break his shield with q tap
@@FishboyAbzu his shield is not the problem, it never was one.
It's not the type of lane of who can kill another faster that's why I'm asking.
Malz is kind of a neutral lane. Q tap to break his shield. Walk up and Q hold if he uses his silence. Hang back and stack his minions with E. Wait for gank.
