Nice job! power tools make quick work of it. What is a170 pound bow used for? Flite shooting?

Yes it could be used for flight but the people I know who shoot 170lb mainly use it for Roving Marks

So I notice that the longbow in the video seems largely rectangular in cross section. To design the bow, are you using the methods and engineering formulas of Paul Klopsteg and Forrest Nagler?

No I don't use formulas I work by eye and touch. I prefer it that way. The cross section is still a little rectangular but only because I have not rounded the belly yet. It will be a "D" section when finished.

What is the "soap" you put on the belt?

Its a rubber belt cleaner, it unclogs the belt so it lasts longer
