we were there onpreview day. Agree 100% with your view, less vendors this year, and a quieter show overall but still great to be hanging around boats in the middle of winter. We endured the chill at the lounge/restaurant at the Westin as well. At least my beer kept cold! 🤣
I've watched the Chit Show for a couple years , but didn't know about your other videos . While searching for Toronto Boat Show videos ( We are from Ontario , but winter on Florida's east coast - because its COLD , as you know now 🤣🤣 ) after we watched the Outer Banks builders and the Tug boats pulling the big yachts . Going to watch the long version of the Toronto Boat Show ! Great job on the videos !
Alfred, I can't believe you are in Toronto. You are only 2 hours from me. I live near Port Stanley, Ontario, on the coast of Lake Erie. I spent the summers there my hole childhood there at a yacht Club. We had boats from 25 feet to 38 foot Pacemaker. I was very lucky. I have been watching you for a few years. I wish you could come down to Port Stanley. We have a peer full of ice and its beautiful. Take care
Alfred, I flooded a 27 ft pontoon boat coming back in Haulover in early 90's - I had just gone out and it was calm turned around to bring daughter back when a hole opened up - I was at full speed and it busted the entire front rail loose - I had just moved the front seats closer to it and saved the boat - the wave that came over hit me at the helm and luckily one screw did not fully pull out to keep me from going overboard - the daughter was laying across the rear seat so she also stayed in the boat - I discovered there was no drainage for the deck - the entire rear seat was under water and by some miracle the battery did not short out and the engine did not die - there was so much water trapped the bow had a 25% to 30% rise - once I got to calm water I was able to open the side doors and start going from forward to reverse and back to forward for close to 30 min to remove enough water to get it light enough to get it on the trailer - I had a partner on the boat and I refused to ever take it out again due to totally unsafe - it was one of the first boats with fiberglass pontoons and was advertised as an open water pontoon boat - I bought it with intensions of using it as a 6 pack dive boat - I lost 20K selling it just after Andrew - it was in storage and had no damage - only my 17 footer Aquasport/Del Quay was damaged by Andrew -
This is a little like our boat show in Iowa a lot more lake boats bass boats runabouts pontoon ski boats and what not I use to go to them when it was here in Des Moines but they moved to Iowa City iowa

Not sure what all the fussing about 75 to get 50 and losing money. There are gains and loses with exchange rates for different currencies.

Is that true about fishman please let me know I don't condone that behavior either. So sad if true.
