The sea lions have been there for way more than the season. Their occupation of Kiddie Beach is NOT seasonal. They tried to corral them into Hobie Beach (fencing them off from Kiddie Beach) but that lasted for maybe a month/month and a half before the sea lions went back to Kiddie beach in droves again.
Hi Katherine :) thank you for your comment on the video. I have noticed of late that there have not been as many sea lions at the kiddie beach. It will be interesting to see what happens come summer time
@@BoatsNHomez noticed the same. Years ago they used to hang out on the harbor side of the rocks near La Janelle. You didn't really see them but you could hear them. Then, on the other side of the channel (on Hollywood Beach side) and then to Kiddie Beach. It got worse when they started dredging this last time. Yes, will be interesting to see what happens around the summer. It is fun to watch them jumping around in the water, but I know it has become a nuisance to many of the residents who live closest to Kiddie Beach.
Living across from that would force me to buy the largest and loudest air conditioner possible! Who knows... They might be gone by the Summer months. Have a great new year! @@monitor8338
I'm sitting across from Kiddie Beach now...there's 50-60 loud sea lions clustered near the breakwater and a few in the sandy area just south of that ...not near as bad as in the video, but no one can use the benach now (it's popular with families)

Are they still there?
They are not. Some of them are still along the shore, but most of them are out at the islands
