I can’t believe this. I’ve been dealing with severe rhomboid pain for more than a decade due to an old sports injury. Occasionally wake up and can’t even get out of bed without doing a barrel roll because it suddenly decided to act up and make my life a living hell for the next 3 days. It was getting in the way of my job, my sports, my sleep. Everything. I just followed along with this video and it was instant relief. I’m still in shock. Thank you so much.

If there was a TH-cam gold star reward, this video deserves it.
Whomever you are reading the comments hoping for a similar situation - with the stabbing pain behind your shoulder blade (feels like a hard rock is nestled somewhere in there). Yes, you, who has jammed a lacrosse ball, a corner of a wall, a massage therapist elbow, etc in your back hoping for a release.. Give these exercise 3 days.
Crying tears of relief. I'm not perfectly whole, but I am soooo much better than any acupuncture or massage appointment has made me feel.

I've been struggling with pain between the shoulder blades for going on 10+ years. PT, chiropractor, massage, etc all were just temporary relief (if at all). Exercise makes the pain terrible and impacted my quality of life (sleep, mood, activity). I started doing these 3 exercises this week and I immediately felt soooo loose and pain free. I thought I needed to give up weight lifting (something I love) but I've had two intense workouts with absolutely no pain afterwards! I can't describe out much this means to me and how much it has helped. thank you so much Prehab!

You're right. A mechanic with a few year's experience knows pretty well what's wrong under the hood. So physiotherapists should be more regulated for quick accuracy, knowing how expensive they are for several treatments. What about a father of 3 kids, working in a factory or construction (lucky enough to get a short job). America sometimes sucks.

My girlfriend gave me a massage in that area and the pain went away for about 10mins before it came back even more sore. A temporary fix. So I hopped on youtube to look for stretches and found this video. Best decision ever! After these stretches, the pain went away permanently and instantly. And extremely painful. Been taking Advil liquidgels and heating pad for 2 weeks and nothing has even slightly gotten better.

I've been in chiropractic practice for 42 years. I love your videos and recommend them to my patients regularly. Keep up the great work !!! It makes my job easier !!! I just had a new patient to my practice on Wednesday with a rhomboid problem that occurs when walking after about 5 minutes (sharp, burning pain). My first thought was stenosis, but it's rare in the thoracic spine. His x-rays revealed some mild osteoarthritis. Did a thorough exam and adjusted his spine afterward. I then recommended the video. He complied and reported on his follow up visit that the chronic pain he had been experiencing for 3 months was reduced by 40%. I'm certain that with my care and your rhomboid video, he'll be back to full mobility, function and pain free within 4-6 weeks.

Thank you so much for this video. I have suffered for months with a really tight back and neck cracking despite stretching diligently, foam rolling every day, ample rest, good form when lifting weights but the pain kept returning. I had sessions with a chiropractor but this only gave temporary relief and the nagging pain was seriously starting to impact my day to day life in terms of comfort and not being able to train without resting for days. I came across your channel from Reddit and this video was amazing. I have been doing each of the 3 movements (especially the first one) for the last 5 days and the difference was huge and the relief was instant. I’m now back to training hard again and have no more tightness or pain in my back - it’s unbelievable how these simple movements can make such a huge difference. Thanks so much, guys - perfectly explained and demonstrated! 👊

I had been doing exercise #2 and #3 all along, I could always feel the tightness when doing them but #2 and #3 never actually stopped my back tightness and shoulder crunching.
Did exercise #1 after watching this and after just one set it freed up my shoulder and back. New favourite stretch/exercise.
    Thanks guys.

This is the first time that I see an exercise being discussed for this type of pain. For the past 30 years there has been some relief of this pain for me when I have a medium to hard pressure point Shiatsu massage done by very experienced therapists. Over the last 12+ years after an invasive surgery requiring cutting up my sternum, this pain was even more prevalent and nagging. The Shiatsus relieve it significantly, however, it reappears. As I have tendonosis on my right shoulder rotating ball as well as my right bicep, this pain is even more nagging. I look forward to these exercises in order to address that nagging pain especially behind my right shoulder blade. Thank you

Thank you for showing these exercises! The rhomboid is very hard to target with massage and other therapies. This cured my nagging rhomboid pain!

I've been dealing with rhomboid pain for almost 5 years from side sleeping and got worse from a commuting accident.
I was standing in a bus when it had to make a sudden stop to avoid colliding with another vehicle and I had to keep my grasp on the overhead bars to not fall over, must've dislocated but didn't come up on x-ray results but had impact on the pain I'm already feeling on my shoulder. Was considering seeing a chiropractor to have it checked earlier this year but held off due to them not being available near where I live and possible expense. (They kinda cost a lot where I am)
Came across your video a week ago and did the stretches as you demonstrated. And I can confirm that these movements have been very effective and the discomfort I've been having on my right shoulder has significantly lessened! Thank you for posting this!
