@@scatkitchen Yess I tried slowing it down that day and it worked :). Now it's not necessary, I can differentiate the 8 note from the triplets :D. I am doing both Sunnies every day, and if there is no time for a long practice session, I do them at least once each before bedtime. I am making quick progress and it feels good, thank you so so much again.

Hey, I don't know if Scat singing is the base of rapping, but there is definitely a lot in common here. For example the focus on tight rhythm and difficult lines that come easy. If Scat singing is improvised, like in freestyle Rap, you have some licks in your pocket with some random ideas. You also have to train your ears, lips, speed and timing. Scat syllables are a fantasy language, that is a huge difference. To focus on the flow, before the lyrics have to make sense, might be a good exercise for rappers. Scat singers could learn to tell a story in exchange.
Hello Hélène. Try these two ways to practice: 1. Slow the speed level down. Under every YT-video, there is a button where you can reduce the speed level of the video. 2. Say the word "dong". With a very short "o". More like "donggg. Notice where the tone sits when you are on the "ng". It should be sitting between the nose and the soft palate. Then sing the "bm" and let the "m" sit in the same spot as the "ng" did before. A little amount of air will float through your nose. I hope that helps 🌸
