What a breath of fresh air, thank you for sharing it.
I also appreciate the lack of 'modern language' that is so common these days and so difficult to understand.
You prove that us oldies aren't a waste of space, and we can still get the job done.

Lots of people are wasted space, but not because of age.

Looks are just cosmetic, function, that's what's important. It functions well.

Another great idea that I'm going to copy (with a couple of "improvements/changes". Thanks

My next one will have some improvements, too.

You are a huge inspiration. I have to stop my comment short because I am being shown an absolutely irrelevant TH-cam commercial and I want to stop it.

If I watched the dozens of videos I watch every day with commercials, I'd go insane. Paying about $13 a month for Premium is about the best few bucks I've ever spent.

I had made one just like your old one, I liked the idea of not having to pick the wood up off the ground. Now that I see your new one works even better I may have to use your design. Thanks for the video.looking forward to the next one.

This one is about the same size as the X-type it replaced, but it holds twice as much wood.

Getting ready to make a new one myself. My old one finally was whittled down and beat after 6-7 years of use and abuse. The X shape is OK for holding a log but your design is better for sawmill cutoffs and scraps.

I saw yours (pun not intended). I admire the planning and precision that go into the things you build.

Looks like it'll do the job. I liked your demonstration of the domino effect! 😂

I haven't made one myself yet. I like to do research and decide which style (of anything) will best suit my needs. This morning I ordered my first extension for my HM122 and also the Sharpener. Looking forward to being able to handle 16 footers on my mill and also not having to spend as much on blades.
P.S. I will never hit nails while using my sawbuck....mostly because I'll be using screws...so I'll be hitting them instead...lol

Nails are softer than screws, I think. I don't know if the saw chain makes a distinction, though.

If your older than 65 then your my inspiration and that domino effect was hilarious. But my domino effect is a little different, my domino is when I change one thing, I have to change 15 other things that is associated with the first thing....... My saw-rack is lot different, it took lot of trial and error to get things working right-ish...........

Definitely older than 65, as my body keeps reminding me.

I appreciate the standard or modified design. However, if it was me, I would just line up six or seven 24 in or better rounds and stand them up to sort of make a platform

      @OregonOldTimer  ปีที่แล้ว

It took me a while to get a picture of what you describe, but that would certainly be solid and stable with no nails near the saw.

@@OregonOldTimer Nice. I'm out there every once in awhile. Really like your sawbuck design. I started to build an X shaped one, but didnt like it for the same reasons, so I'm now building one similar to yours. Thanks for posting.
