I just tried the brush cleaning using a soft tooth brush and a drop of rubbing alcohol. One minute and my phone is fixed. Thank you for posting this video. It saved my day!

That brush technique worked like a charm for me. I also took a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a tip of a q-tip and gently rubbed the speaker, quickly following up with the dry end to absorb any worked up grime/dirt/oils. The speaker is good as new now!
