INSANE bowling trick shots from PBA bowlers

In this video we take a look at some of the best bowling trick shots. These all come from PBA pros and feature some infamous tricks such as Norm Duke's towel shot and Chris Barnes' flying eagle.

That guy from the 40s was just amazing. But to me the greatest trick shots were chris barnes flying eagle, and norm dukes picture perfect accuracy of the 7-10 pick-up with the 1 ball hitting the other.
Andy Varipapa is where Chris Barnes got the idea for the "flying eagle." Andy did it long before Barnes was a twinkle in his daddy's eye. The best was left out of this collection...Varipapa getting a ball to hook one direction, then back the exact opposite to hit a pin
the PBA hasn't been the same since there was PDW, Barnes, Williams, Duke, and Bohn on your tv most weekends. Now we have glorified 'league bowling'. PUH-LEASE
I think I loved the old 40's commentary more than anything. For instance: 3:52 The first ball travels as slow as a snail at another snail's funeral!

I liked the flying eagle by Barnes but also like the one where belmo had 5 pins wide stacked 2 high around the arrows and still striking. He threw it over the 10 pins with the vibration from the ball landing knocking them all over.
Correction, the flying Eagle was invented and performed by Andy Varipapa in the 1930's-40's.
Andy remains the greatest trick shot artist in bowling history as well as one of the greatest bowlers of all time which he proved by winning the BPAA All-Star Tournament twice in a row at the age of 56 and 57 and coming in second at age 58.

Actually, one thing I loved about these trick shots is how steeped in tradition most of those shots were. There used to be a video on line of Don Carter making the Flying Eagle in the 50s, and of course Veripapa makes it as well. Most of the shots made by the present day pros are old Veripapa shots. Makes me really respect the present day pros.
Veripapa was a legend if there ever was one. Of course, lots of takes and good editing helped 😉.

At 4:09 the kicked ball suddenly changes direction as if the ball contacted something in the lane that directed it towards the center pin. These were all impressive though.
Favorite trick shot is always picking up the 7-10 split for a spare.

Hopefully this isn't my imagination, but isn't there a spinning ball trick where they spin it really slowly and throw 3 strikes before the spinning ball reaches the end?

If I had to guess, the newer pro bowlers just aren't interested, and the older pros are in too much pain. Would be nice if I was wrong. Pro sponsors want things to "move along" if they manage to get a tourney on tv.
We may not have pro bowling/bowling for much longer; the lanes in my town are being torn down for creepy looking condos instead.
Chris Barnes? The Flying Eagle is literally named after Dale Eagle. It's his shot.

Only decent trick shots were the ones from the 1940's.
So the so called 'modern' spinning ball trick is just a remake of an old Veripapa trick shot....
Back in my day, we actually played the sports. But nowadays, when you mention the word sports these kids pick up a joy stick🤔😳🙄
Getting a strike with four balls doesn't seem like a trick shot. It seems more like cheating.
some of these aren't very good. Like the guy with the hat. Totally failed. But yeah, entertaining i guess. Probably not a lot of shots to pull from for a video like this.
I've been working at bowling centers for 25 years. I do not like to see this kind of nonsense broadcast.
People will see it and, with no permission, try to do it themselves. That could be costly.
