Graduating from Ashesi is a great starting place for a young person determined to realise their potential. I was privileged to deliver their commencement speech in 2016.

Anytime I lose hope and watch Ashesi's videos, i regain my hope and I know definitely that's only land to materialise my dreams to be useful to my community, and wider society of the world.

I just stumbled upon this amazing speech. But it is very discouraging to see in almost a year, there has only been one comment and little over a thousand viewers. That tells you people pay attention more to negative info rather than positive information like personal development etc.

This is inspiring. It is true that the outside world is of no order and it takes effort to survive. Unlike the Ashesi environment that is of order.
As I didnt grow up to see my father and lost my mother some years ago, as a single individual who didnt look at the negativities surrounded by me and took it upon myself to go through primary to senior high school all by myself, it sometimes hard for me to control myself when I reflect my mind on the many sacrifices I have made, the tears, sleepless nights and all the ups and downs just to climb the ladder of education higher but realise I can't afford the university fees..It mostly saddens me a lot which sometimes i want to end it all but anytime i watch Ashesi's videos I gain fresh hope that i will one day actualize my dream through the land of opportunities. It will be the "beginning of my story as it says" whatever dream you can or what you can do, begin it"...I am praying that my hope of making my dream materialise through Ashesi be fulfill so I will one day change the mindset of thousands to believe in themselves. ☺
