Well MAB has been telling me he's going to launch a femme leaning fragrance so I suppose this is going to be it. I hope I can sample it in France next week! And I'm hoping it's not too similar to the Le Galion that's featured in this video. Cause they are both by Quentin Bisch!! :)
Here in Prague, when linden trees are in bloom, it feels like the whole city is softly wrapped in this luxurious honeyed sweet scent. It is my favourite part of the year.
Linden trees are known as Basswood in North America. They are extremely attractive to honeybees and are an important source of nectar. The flowers smell divine.
Just saw the new Marc Antoine Barrois on Fragrantica is a linden blossom frag, actually called Tilia. Linden blossom reminds me of Germany when I lived there. Therefore my fave is IA-33 by JF Schwarzlose Berlin. Here in the UK we have hawthorn blossoming in May and it is a similar scent to linden, but I absolutely love hawthorn because it smells like home
Hello, Sebastian! Great list, thank you for this video! How can anyone not like linden blossom?! Back in my hometown, by the Danube (in Romania) in the 90's we used to have the longest street, with linden trees in Europe. Even one of the bus stations was called "The Perfume of the Linden Trees". :) The smell of the city center, in june, for about a week or so was intoxicating! We also drink a lot of linden flower tea and its calming effect is very well known. And the Linden honey (so flavoured!) is the second best seller after the Accacia one. I have to try one of the scents in your list here, but I have French Lime Blossom from Jo Malone. Never wear it myself, but spray the linen or the house whenever I miss summer.
Linden blossoms and lilacs are my favorite smells in summer in my country! I have been looking for something with these notes to wear for a male. Big thanks for the list!
When I was a baby they always put me under the blossoming linden tree in my dad's greek restaurant. I would never bother the old folks then, I would just lay there, sniff and be happy. 😊
Frau Tonis No 10 Linde Berlin is my holy grail linden blossom fragrance. The brand is only sold in Europe and their only store is in Berlin. I was searching for a mimosa smelling fragrance and stumbled upon this beauty. I only got a 50 ml but will likely purchase a 100 before leaving Germany. It’s a masterpiece ❤ (Harry Lehman has the original Linden fragrance sold by Frau Tonis and has has been around since 1926)
It’s my mom’s favorite scent. While i was growing up there used be a linden tree across of our garden. Every spring when the wind blows the whole neighborhood used to smell linden blossom so it’s a really nostalgic scent to me. Thanks for the video.
great video, thanks :) Linden trees are very common in my country, it brings back memories of school just before holidays. Many french schools used to have this to get shadow. In my village, people around use to come to harvest and share to have lime blossom infusion all year long. This smell is unique, floral and warm at the same time, bees do love it too.... don't pair it with a yellow tshirt😅
I love linden flowers, the actual flowers. I grew up with them and the best part was getting the fresh flowers for tea. The only perfume that smells just like linden flower tea with honey is Linden Flower by Perfume Mendo
So glad you covered this note! It’s one of my top favorites- very nostalgic for me! My favorite is Til… by Laboratorio Olfattivo and Tilia Cordata by Acca Kappa.
Great list, will definitely check these out! My absolute favorite linden scent is No 10 Linde Berlin from Frau Tonis. Incredibly realistic linden that's fresh and slightly sweet. Also I'm pretty sure it was inspired by that Berlin street with linden trees mentioned at the end of the vid. I haven't been there either but I've been to other places with them and indeed it's a very addictive scent.
Oh yes I know that one. In fact that is the fragrance that really got to think about Linden fragrances many years ago on my first trip to Berlin. But sadly I can't buy a bottle of it from here.
In my country linden trees are in bloom in July. And Polish name of July is "lipiec" and it came from linden tree "lipa". I was born in July and linden blossom is one of my favourite perfume notes. The most realistic one I've found in Astier de Villatte Grand Chalet. It is absolutely gorgeous
As a beekeeper in Portland who also loves the aroma of linden blossoms, I think it’s fantastic that there are houses which utilize that aroma to create perfumes. I’m new to niche and continue to be impressed by the depth & breadth of these creations. It makes them very relatable. Linden nectar makes excellent honey and the blossoms have an incredibly intoxicating scent. I’m very familiar with the blossoms and the resulting honey. The idea that there are also perfumes that allow for the blossoms’ aroma to be worn is amazing. Thank you for making such excellent content. If it weren’t for this video, I wouldn’t be aware of these linden-centric fragrances. Are there any fragrances which utilize ceanothus blossom? Cheers 🍻
We have a huge Linden tree in our front yard. Every year I can't wait for it to bloom. And when it does. . . If heaven had a smell, it would be Linden. It makes our whole neighborhood smell wonderful. I am on a huge hunt for the perfume that can match that wonderful smell. I hope I can find one from your vlog. Thank you.
I love this scent. It’s a gorgeous note in fragrance. I remember a line in Yves Rocher that featured linden blossom as an active. It was compelling and launched my love of linden. You’ve listed some fragrances I own and some I need to try now. Thank you
✨😃I miss Yves Rocher, I used to order from them quite alot! IDR any offerings with Linden, do they still make it and could you please share the name if you can?? My favs from them were Ode de Reve and the one with Tiare flower that was a body spray that had a hair/body wash to match. Monoi Tahiti was it?🌴✨ Ps- Oooooh, another fav that I still have is Bleu Cedar. Very old bottle but held up just fine. Such a good company, I'd like to revisit again and see what they've got nowadays. They always offered nice extras, gifts with orders and sale specials.🛍️✨
I wish cheaper brands did more linden blossom scents.. Donna Karan Gold is linden and lily; and I can smell linden in 5th Avenue. My favourite linden is in La chasse aux pappillon and in L'ete en douce.
Thank you for highlighting this flower, it's one of my favorite things about spring! My favorite perfume that features it is Astier De Villate's Grand Chalet, I even love the incense they have of it. I'll have to try the rest of your list!
Linden tea is so delicious i hope i get to find a nice linden perfume one day… could you also maybe make a video about mastic? Mastic is very delicious in dessert but i havent found a mastic centered perfume yet
Have you looked up mastic on Fragrantica? I feel like I actually see it in a lot of perfumes lately. Although I’ve never had mastic desserts so I wouldn’t be able to identify the note.
When I lived on the Ca central coast, I used to visit a little shop on PCH in Santa Cruz where I bought handmade soaps. One of my faves was linden scented. I still have the sense memory. Man that soap was so beautiful. It would fill the powder room with the nicest scent.
@ThePerfumeGuy Linden Tree is a national tree/important symbol for Slovakia, Czechia to Poland and Slovenia... central EU, and the scent is truly intoxicating when it blooms!
We had linden trees lining the street I grew up on. The smell was intoxicating to me but to some it was bothersome. I also grew up drinking linden tea … very familiar with it. Sol Salgado is on my wish list as it reminded me of true linden blooms 💛 when I smelled it. Beautiful fragrance. So glad you did a video on one of my favourite smells 💛
Til and Highgrove Bouquet by Pennhaligon's are my favourite Linden Blossom scents I've tried so far. Usually the honey facet is abit over exaggerated for taste, but those two were just right.
Another thank you for this and all your videos!❤ I, too, am perenially haunted by the scent of linden blossoms! Have you considered Kerosene's "Pretty Machine"?
Adore it. My favourite is Chat Perche by Goutal. 💛(it’s lemon blossom in this one, but it’s similar. But I do remember it from my childhood in Moldova). 😊
Wow.. I want to try Sol Salgado since I love Raw Gold so much- cherishing my bottle for special occasions! Like tomorrow- I will wear it for Balkan Night!
Sol Salgado is amazing! I think Bruno Fazzolari (FZotic) has a fragrance that has a prominent linden blossom note in it, but I can't remember the name.
Очень люблю липу, липовый чай, липовый цвет, запах, невероятно вкусный аромат! Как его не любить! Это всегда будет наоминать мне родной дом. Слушаю внимательно эту подборку, Себастьян
My mother used to drink Linden tea for anxiety in Spanish is known as Té de Tila, it's very popular, but I can't remember exactly the smell, I know I have smelled it, I need to go to the grocery store and smell it again 😆 so I can get the idea behind these fragrances. Thanks for the list Sebastian!!!
I saw that you put Lilas Exquis on the list and it have both hyacinth and lilac. I have a special friend who loves those flowers. Would you have a recommendation for a fruity floral fragrance where those flowers are center stage?
Loved the video, great to learn about a new note! I recently got to smell Valaya by PDM. Can you suggest perfumes which smell like crisp white shirt, soft cotton and white musk which are Very fresh and soft fragrances? Appreciate any recommendations!
Do tomato leaves count as vegetal? I know tomatoes are botanically classified as fruits but are used as veggies. If so, I love the tomato leaf as a note in frags.
I personally think even though they are considered fruits they count as vegetables to me. Here's a video on Vegetal or Vegetables in perfumery. th-cam.com/video/5efLQz9f3x0/w-d-xo.html

Sounds great!
