I liked all 3 of the houses. Plenty of people would feel blessed to get to live in any of them. At you don't have furniture, then the last one seems the most practical. Buy new mattresses.

The second house has a nice backyard view. If this is a transitional place, you really can't be picky. Enjoy the process and don't miss the growth on your journey. If we hold on too tight, we limit our opportunity for what God truly has prepared for us. You are beautiful and there is so much more awaiting that is beyond measure!
Thanks for the tips! We have to be pickey, this will be a place for our son to be at while attending LSU and we need to make sure he is in a good neighborhood. It is a transitional place, but we still need to feel comfortable sleeping there.
Don't be so focused on size. More so budget. Til you get that van back. I am rooting for yal.

I would go with the older home. It's fully furnished and it's in a settled neighborhood. I feel Daniel will be safer in that environment while you all are away. They did a great job with all of the updates! If you aren't comfortable, sage the home, purchase new mattresses for the beds, and have sofa professional cleaned and sanitized. Get contract with a pesticide company and have them service every three months or monthly for the first 6 months then go to the quarterly option maybe? I know you all will choose the best option for the family.
Thanks for the advice. That old house was just too old. The neighborhood was established which was the best thing about it.

The 2nd, new home with the large backyard was very nice. The new home with a forest behind it might be home to various critters.
We liked that one as well, but the house was smaller.
I liked the bg noise with the chirren. Sounds of a fun, active family home. ❤

No I just purchased a home and my real estate agent drove to each address and opened each door and gave us the background on each property. If I have to do this myself then I’m not paying them a commission 😜👍🏾✌🏾

I like the one with the green backyard. If you aren't going to be home alot it seems like it would be easy keeper.

Im invested and following you to see more houses. I love looking at houses but I personally think its better and safer with a realtor. I had a weird experience while viewing a home on my own.

Ikr…but we’ve lived in a house before we built our van, and we also need room for Daniel. He will probably stay in the house longer than us and will eventually move college roommate’s in after we move out in 6 months.

1. Tino is so funny with the camera, I can vouch that he's not shy in person but the camera makes him weird out 😂 and 2. Tenaj 🐝 lol that wasp 😂 3. That smaller house is cute for 1 person lol and those leaves would be a hot mess soon as fall hits so do not be deceived lol. I like the 1st house which I think was the last furnished house, it has so much potential. Let's move there!!! aint no rats in there. and trust me if you aint gonna be there much it makes sense to get it furnished. Buy a mattress pad cover and some lysol. Nola

Yeah. I really like the backyard on that one. A little small but it’s private ❤
I have to go with the older home. The home that backs into the water may flood and create a mess. The home that backs into the woods is a breeding ground for creepy crawlers. Plus, something could easily crawl under the gaps in the fence to get your dog. The older home has proven it can withstand what mother nature sends. The background screams family get togethers and it offers plenty of running space for Gypsy.
I’m also partial to the older home because builders are taking shortcuts when building houses now. I would hate for you all to be forced into a situation in which you have to live in a home that is falling apart.

I'm voting for the 1500+sq footage house. The backyard was larger and was backed up to water. It also has a nice pantry area. I feel you on the oldness of the furnished home although it seemed to, at least on camera, have a little more space in it than the others but I don't know if that's what you guys need, a furnished home and you not feeling it. Plus that wasp was already trying to take you out soooooo. Maybe that one should be X out like they do on house hunters😂 I enjoyed seeing your family on the other parts of the video.

I liked the third one, the smaller of the two in the development. I liked it because of the more private backyard and all the greenery. The second one, though bigger, had such a cookie cutter suburban sprawl backyard. I grew up in a home but all of my adult life I have only lived in apartments but if I ever did buy a home I’d search for coziness and character.
The backyard definitely made that house a contender ❤
@@TenajTino except for the noisy A/C lol but I know you Tenaj, you could totally make that a zen spot for yoga, etc. I know you’ll find something to fit your family. I’m glad you’re able to spend more time with Daniel. Next thing you know he’ll graduate and be adulting like your older son. I just talked to mine on the phone tonight for a couple hours. He’s putting together a vision board and seems to be getting his life in a better order. Parenting is a lifelong commitment.

The second and third one. I liked the third one because the back yard was more private but I liked the second one the best.
Yes the 3rd one had a private backyard but it was a smaller backyard. The other one was bigger but had no privacy. We thought of that last night as we rewatched the video.

It was a pond, I think they built it so it’s controlled…but it could overfill during our hurricane season.

I didn’t like any of those houses. Are there others you’ve lined up to see? I will say I was pleasantly surprised with the older home. They definitely tried to stage it to appear more modern.

Isn't this going to be temporary housing? If so, why would you want to furnish a place just to get rid of everything once you go back on the road. Unless, y'all have other plans like letting your child(ren) live there. It seems like you're shopping for homes for longevity. I would be smart and shop for something inexpensive and comfortable. I think all 3 are nice. I love old homes. If your spirit is good you shouldn't have any issues being in an older home. Good luck with everything.
It’s gonna be temporary for us but our soon still has a few more years at LSU so we’re trying to find somewhere he can be for a while. And of course we’ll be coming in and out 👍🏽

The cheapest rent going in Baton Rouge that we found was $1,700 the highest we’ve come across is $2,500.

The avg in the BR area is as low as $1,700 and up.
Hopefully you helping to pay your parents for expenses. It’s only fare your in your mid 30’s plus. It’s great when parents offer but adult children need to chip in
Oh yes…we do help with expenses. We actually provide help even when we’re not there as well.

For the love of all that is good and holy, please let this thing about the van go. People are losing their freedoms and lives over racial/social injustice as we speak. You are not homeless, you have family, income, and hopefully health. Your kids are doing fine. Honestly, I don’t even know why you’d want it back. Just let the damn thing go, before you really start to lose what is actually substantial and meaningful to life.

Butterfly, come on now, have you no heart? They poured their blood, sweat and tears in to building their adventure home, and looked forward to planned trips. And within minutes, they lost it all and had to walk away with what fit in their hands. There is still a chance they can get it back, and I hold on to hope with them.
