Laura Gellar is the OG creator of the baked powder. My mom and I have used her products for years. Laura Gellar also has some great deals on QVC, thats how we found out about her over 15 plus years ago. Im 32 now, I may have to try her B&B again, I remember really liking it. Her baked blushes are also amazing. So glad Lauras products are getting the spotlight it deserves! Thank you Ivory for doing a video on this!
@@CheshyreKitten her stuff is so pretty! I have used her highlights too!!! I don't know if they make the blush called pink grapefruit anymore but it was so good, I reccommed it!
I’m so glad this foundation is getting love! I’ve used this for years as a touch up/powder foundation! It’s definitely not full coverage but I’m okay with showing some acne too. I’m usually “light” in most foundation and even fair is a bit dark for me!
Have you tried the Laura Geller “Double Take” baked foundation? That has full coverage. You can apply it with the included sponge dry or wet, depending on the coverage you want. If I feel like I need more coverage in some areas, I’ll use some of the Double Take and then use the Balance & Brighten. The DT foundation doesn’t have the swirls of colors like the B&B.
As a WOC, I'd recommend Black girl Sunscreen, bc we struggle finding sunscreen that doesn't give US a white cast (hence the name)...thanks for great video doll 😍🥳
I picked this up on a kit which came With first bloom eyeshadow quad, Fifty kisses liquid lip, and a Laura geller Retractable powder brush. I am some good brushes natural hair but I found this Laura Geller retractable powder brush actually applied at the best I am 62 with normal skin and I do take really good care of my skin and I use good moisturizers but this brush applied it well and I actually did not need concealer so I don’t know if this brush is meant to apply it and why I got a better job in the winter my skin does lean dryer but I found this to be very creamy non-trying and Ike got a definite medium coverage. For concealer I just would not push the brush out all the way so it was denser therefore I got more of a coverage but I actually got it to cover one of my dark spots it was by using a tapping motion. I am a big fan of this foundation and I’d don’t like powder foundations they tend to look dry on my skin so I was surprised I’m really curious to try the balance in Brighton but I’m glad I watched a review thank you oh I tried this with a bareMinerals kabuki brush and I still was able to get a medium to full coverage and I’m not a full coverage kind of gal and I tried it with a reference powder brush that I got exceptional buffing in first time it was amazing so I think with a fluffy powder brush this applies the best and buffing it really into the skin was how I was able to get the coverage if I needed more coverage like I said in a specific area using a denser brush with tapping motions I was able to achieve that. Try checking out your T.J max, marshals or Ross and you may be able to find a kit and give it a try.
Thank you for showing the puff application for a better coverage. I use the golden medium and I think it works on you too. I am older but still have acne oily complexion but I really like this foundation because I live in TX so it doesn’t slide off like a regular foundation in our heat.
Great review! I love that you shared the results with the different application methods. I used this foundation years ago and just repurchased today to try it out again. Thank you 😊
3yrs later, I have just seen your video, thank you great job, you look stunning regardless which side left or right 👍🏾 I too have oily and sensitive skin, i have only just discovered this product today. I was wondering have you by any chance tried the full cover foundation? If so what did you think about it? I normally wear bare minerals and decided to try out this product so I've ordered one being the full coverage and colour correct 🙂
Thank you for your video. I want to buy this foundation but wasn’t sure which shade to get. I was stuck between medium and golden medium and leaning toward golden but after seeing it on you and hearing your feedback I’m definitely getting the medium. Thank you for your review!
This is my first time watching u and I love the way you're quick and to the point and don't beat around the bush. I've been wanting to try some of Laura Geller foundation, I'm really looking for something that is natural looking. I have normal skin and don't want to wear alot of makeup unless I go out somewhere. If I can get away with a little foundation and my permanent eyeliner I would be happy.
thank you so much! my biggest pet peeve is when people take too long to get to the point so I try really hard not to do that! and even if i do I always include time stamps so people can skip that part :)
I saw that people were talking about this foundation again and the first thing I thought was "I wonder if Ivory has reviewed this?" And lo and behold!! Thank you!! The reviews by you and Saaamage are the only foundation reviews I trust since you actually show your skin, have yellow-toned Asian skin, and do long wear tests.
I recently got this and am really surprised how good it looks. Definitely no worse than most liquids as far as settling into wrinkles/lines. Only thing I've noticed is the lightest color does have a little too much of a pink hue to it. I may get a different shade to mix and even that out.😊
I like the non primer side. I've seen this foundation for over a decade but never got it because of my acne... My face is easy better now but I still have some issues sometimes.... Thanks for the review!!!!! Hope your skin clears up 🌹

This looked so good on you for a light-med coverage. It didn’t look very makeup-y which seems awesome! Color wise it seemed like a great color match (maybe because of the SPF whitening)?
I think it's the heavy eye look it makes it look not as off but if I do no eye makeup it does look just SLIGHTLY too dark. But I agree the match is still pretty dang good!

Your video was EXCELLENT!! Thank you! It is so difficult to find reviews when you have oily and acne prone skin. Thank you for this!! I was also going to get medium golden, and I’m a tad lighter than you, so thank you for this!! The website’s pictures are not helpful 😂
I have normal to dry skin. I just tried this product and it's way too light and not enough coverage. I would have to applied more than two layers, it does look dry and matte. I prefer Neutrogena or Bare minerals. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Hi, I just discovered this video today. I'm wondering how you feel about this make up after 3 years.
That's actually a good idea on trying off camera for 2 days and then a video on it. That way you have time to build a pros and cons based on 2 days
Yes it was a nice change! It was an old foundation so I wasn't in a rush but when I get new foundations sometimes I don't get this luxury lol
So far, I'm loving your style..
Open formula has the *best* spf 50 moisturizer I've ever used! No white cast at all, plays nicely with all foundations (liquid or powder) Check it out 👌
I think you look amazing , very pretty !!!!!
thank you!! 💗💋
Ok you read my mind, I've been thinking about trying this foundation so I was really excited to see that you uploaded a review:) I will definitely have to check this out! Btw did you get it from her website or QVC?
her website! it was 40% off when I got it but I just saw that right now it's 20% off!!!
Looks so good on you
Im curious to hear how your skin reacts since this is not oil free for one, and thats usually a problem for me (Acne prone).
My skin had no reaction
I love that red and white striped shirt on you! ♥️⚪
Your review was very thorough and helpful. 🤗
You need to get the LG matte primer/ u will love it
I’m loving this powder on you! The match isn’t too bad at all either! Kinda offended I wasn’t one of the 2 people you asked 😒😒
Lmao idk why I didn't I think you were busy all day so I didn't wanna bother you 😂
Finally someone who does makeup like me. Lol thank you I can’t wait to try this. I was scared to try lol xoxo 💋
What is your favorite liquid and power foundations? Need some suggestions.
I'm so sad that this foundation broke my skin out 😭 I wanted to love it so much .
Took me nearly 3 weeks to clear my skin
And I only wore it a couple times
Recommendation for sunscreen: Black Girl sunscreen 😍 my favorite. Available at target.
Yes someone else recommended it too! Thank you!
Your video was EXCELLENT!! Thank you! It is so difficult to find reviews when you have oily and acne prone skin. Thank you for this!! With masks now, I look for lighter coverage foundation than evens out the skin tone and looks pretty, and this looked FANTASTIC on you!! I was also going to get medium golden, and I’m a tad lighter than you, so thank you for this!! The website’s pictures are not helpful 😂
Using a damp sponge increases coverage.
Loved your review! Thank you and you are so beautiful 😁🤙🏽💜
Thank you so much!!
thank you!!!
Looks beautiful on your skin
Your routine for textured skin with discolouration/acne needs to be: tatcha primer, colour correcting (mac), Dior nude serum foundation, Dior forever skin concealer, hourglass veil powder 👏
lol half those products are not cruelty free unfortunately
Hello, hope you are doing good, will you share with us your loosing weight journey, some tips maybe?
hii!! I'm doing great!! my weight is still a work in progress, but I'd love to sit down and do a video one day about it!
I have normal to dry skin. I just tried this product and it's way too light and not enough coverage. I would have to applied more than two layers, it does look dry and matte. I prefer Neutrogena or Bare minerals. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Try L’Oréal powder foundation! It’s back in stock on Amazon
loreal isn't cruelty free! so I can't review it unfortunately
What color you have? I don't see it
I'm surprised a baked foundation was this good! Why does it have to be so expensive 😭
Lol I know it's so pricey but it's currently on sale!
You look beautiful!!
